Stauf's in Grandview is much more than your typical coffee shop. The inside is huge with several seating options. In addition to awesome beverages, they also offer breakfast and lunch. The best part of this location, though, is the large selection of beans you can purchase by the pound for home use. They have beans from all over the world, in addition to some that they roast locally. The employees were super helpful educating us on the different blends. They also have all the accessories any coffee connoisseur could want. Parking can be hit or miss, with some parallel spots on Grandview Ave. If you're willing to walk a block or two, we found street parking in an adjacent neighborhood. read more

Our 6th stop on the Cbus Coffee Trail brought us here and the secret treat is the delightful Hazelnut Brittle Latte. Most crowded place thus far, however, found a place to set up shop and work. Everyone is in good spirits. Staff were pleasant, needing to get people through quickly, but responded to questions, modified drinks. Definitely enjoy this place and the atmosphere. Stauf's is one of my all time favorite coffee places in Columbus. With a great variety of food and drinks, and truly some of the best coffee I've had in Ohio, all the Stauf's locations are fantastic. The service is fairly quick and the staff has always been nice and friendly. The shop in Grandview is very spacious, with tons of areas to sit and do work or meet with friends. I've tried a few of their different coffees and they are all so tasty. The Milky Way is one of my favorites and their ice blended "frozen" coffees are sooooo good!! Visited Stauf's Grandview location on a holiday morning. There was ample available street parking. There also appears to be parking in the rear of the building. The cafe is located in a quaint neighborhood, though most of the other places were closed in the morning. The cafe entrance leads into the shop. There is a small selection of merchandise and a big selection of coffee. The store manager was friendly. He provided a lot of information on the coffee. The coffee bar is located on the far side of the entrance. They have a diverse selection of food and beverages. I ordered the Pumpkin Spice Latte. The drink was quickly prepared. It was not overly sweet like some other lattes. While this was my first visit to this shop, it will not be my last. I look forward to returning. read more

Stauf's is a great local spot for coffee/tea/lunch. There is indoor and outdoor seating, and there's a lot of space. But, it's a pretty bustling spot with lots of people going in and out. Many people sit in the shop to work or have meetings. They only serve food until 2, but you can still grab bagels, muffins, and various other premade items to enjoy with your drink if you go after they close the kitchen. Parking is both copious and scarce depending on when you go. There's street parking along Grandview, or there are hidden lots behind the shops... just make sure you pay on your app if you park back there-- many people get tickets. read more

The worst coffee shop I have ever been in and the absolute worst coffee I have ever tasted. I ordered an overpriced honey lavender latte and it literally tasted like dirt... Had absolutely zero flavor of honey or lavender. I would've enjoyed drinking dirty sink water more than what they served me. It was absolutely repulsive. Their food items were just as bad, they tasted stale and bland. I ordered a cinnamon loaf and it was bone dry. My mom ordered a scone and it was hard as a rock. As a local, I have been coming to staufs on grandview ave my entire life. As time has gone on, the atmosphere seems to become increasingly uppity. The baristas are straight up rude, unfriendly, and unwelcoming. Not sure if it's the hype surrounding the business that makes the staff feel entitled to look you up and down, not greet you, not smile at you, and overall carry a sense of strange superiority over their customers. The quality of the coffee and drinks have fallen off in ways as well. Extremely chunky matcha and burnt bean taste have been my most recent experiences. This used to be my happy place but I no longer feel like staufs cares about the community that built it. read more

This remains my favorite of the local Columbus rosters for coffee. Their "flavored coffees" are excellent and we often buy the 5 lb. bags to carry back to Illinois, as we find this easier. If you haven't Highlander Grog then you MUST. This time I bought Love Potion #9, which is equally awesome. Great community atmosphere. People constantly coming and going. Brought the family for the first stop of the Columbus Coffee Trail. I ordered a small gingerbread latte with less syrup. Delicious, perfect flavor. Son ordered a milky way latte and he loved the flavor. And ate a blueberry muffin. Hubby drank coffee. And ate a bagel. Mom and I split the Morning Hash with sweet potatoes and nine grain bread. The bread is served toasted but plain. Butter is served cold and wouldn't spread. Bread was a waste of food. Came in for breakfast on Small Business Saturday. Unfortunately, breakfast isn't served until 8:00am. We called the night before to ask what time they open. Guess we should have been more specific with our question. This is still our favorite coffee toaster that we visit very time we are in town. Hubby bought several pounds of whole bean coffee to bring back to Chicagoland after Thanksgiving break. read more

The wait staff was very friendly and attentive. My friends and I love German Village, and Stauf's obviously had to be our first stop, so we could explore with our coffees! The weather looks a little dicey, but not this hash. Stauf's started serving coffee to Columbus in 1988. Columbus' first micro roaster. The beans are roasted by hand, everyday! Order: Morning hash with a side of bacon. I can't leave without grabbing a bag of Highlander Grog whole beans before leaving. It's my favorite. The coffee, food, and beans are quality. I try to inform the manager, for his edification, that I tend to wait for a particular cashier to be busy so a different cashier will wait on me due to the frequency of screwed up orders by particular cashier. Manager defensively tells me I don't own the place and I could go elsewhere. Apparently he's not a subscriber to the idea that ultimately the customers actually do own the place and that they should be listened to and not constantly interrupted. Apparently particular cashier had already discussed my penchant to say "coffee" as a name for my order instead of giving my actual name. So now manager ignores my primary complaint and makes everything about giving a name. He tells me giving a name of coffee could confuse the customers. By that logic, probably less possible than John getting confused when they call out the order for a previous John. Manager also says it's OK to use a fake name if I don't want to give my real name. When did lying become normalized? I don't like to lie for any reason. He didn't get my point that I don't want to give any name. Never mind that when there is a line, asking every customer for a name and typing it in holds up the line. That doesn't matter somehow. Only Manager and particular cashier have had an issue with any name I give. When there is little to no line, the other cashiers don't even bother to ask for a name. They have sense enough to know there won't be an issue. There are many ways to make sure an order gets to the customer who ordered it without taking the time to ask for a name. You've seen many of them I'm sure. It would behoove Stauf's to be better than Starbucks. As Startbucks CEO Howard Schultz stated, the reason they ask for a name is they don't sell coffee, they sell community. What a bunch of patronizing crap. read more

Great place to get some food and a cup of joe. Spent several hours there working, and it was nice to find plug for my laptop. When I looked around, I saw there were plugs everywhere. Huge bonus perks for me. They have several sections that are fun to explore. But I didn't think I would be like the sandwich I got just as much! Wow, this was my first visit to Stauf's, and I was blown away! Parking is a bit tricky; we had to park several blocks away and walk. Once inside, the aroma that greets you is amazzzzing! A wonderful, warm, rich coffee aroma. The interior is very large. There are numerous barrels of all kinds of coffee beans to choose from if you want to take beans home to brew. There is a selection of Stauf's attire along with coffee brewing machines and equipment. There is a lot of seating inside with tables of numerous sizes. This Friday afternoon the place was packed, but there were a few tables open here and there. The WiFi is free and connected easily and worked well. Decor is rustic and cool; the menu is sprawled along one entire wall of the establishment with food choices on the left and coffee/drinks on the right. The kitchen serves breakfast from 8-3; we were too late to try it. They roast their own beans here; there is a large roasting machine on display. There was a short line to order, and about a 5-7 minute wait to get the drinks. Staff seemed fairly friendly; the lady handing out the drinks just shouted out the drink name loudly and didn't really say thanks when you picked it up (just a small point). We went for two iced lattes, one with sugar free caramel syrup and one with sugar free peanut butter syrup. Both with 2% milk. Huge bonus points for having a large selection of sugar-free syrup flavors! These are great choices for calorie-free flavor. The drinks were out of this world good! Smooth and creamy coffee with no bitterness at all. Awesome flavor even with sugar-free syrup. Seriously one of the most delicious coffees I've had in a long time. If you have not yet tried Stauf's you are missing out! Highly recommended for a wonderful cup of coffee, a cool atmosphere for socializing, and tons of beans to take home and brew! read more
