This store is what you think it is - filled with Montana-themed items like clothing, stickers, mugs, and some home decor. It's cute - but somewhat expensive - like $50-60 for sweaters and about $30-40 for a t-shirt. Found a few cute items I liked and kept in mind for later. HUGE SHOUTOUT TO MAGGIE!!!…read more During my last night in Whitefish, I was looking for a souvenir shirt. After shopping for a while, my husband and I ended up at Northwind Shirt Company. I was SUPER impressed with their selection of t-shirts, hoodies, sweatshirts, etc...and ended up purchasing a grey sweatshirt. Maggie was incredibly friendly and helpful, during our shopping visit, and the three of us were chitchatting about the area and whatnot. She happened to mention that her brother owned Montana Tap House nearby. My husband and I left to do some more shopping, and about an hour later (after the shop had closed), I realized that I had left my purse in the dressing room and I had a 6:35a.m. flight home to Arkansas. I called the shop to no avail, and then remembered that Maggie had told us about her brother. I had the idea to navigate to Montana Tap House...hopefully find someone that knew her brother, and in turn reach out to Maggie. And that's exactly what we did. Upon arriving at the tap room, I walked up to the bartender and told him my situation. He smiled and said that he could help. Maggie's brother (owner of Montana Tap House) was literally sitting two chairs down from me. He called Maggie and within 10 minutes, she met me back at Northwind Shirt Company and unlocked the doors for me to retrieve my purse. Racist workers! Went in today with the intention of buying some hats with my family. We were…read morestanding around trying them on and Sharon walked past 3 of us white people and walked straight to my brown MIL asking her if she was waiting for someone. I said "we're together" and she said "ohhhh okayyyy" With a very sarcastic and condescending tone. I told the lady at the counter who said "maybe she was trying to see if she needed help". If that was the case she would've asked "do you need help" AND she would've ask the rest of us as well. This is what day to day racism looks like! It's not always slurs, it's assuming people don't belong because they're brown, and it's also people trying to justify others comments to be anything other than what they are: discrimination and racism.
