The setup upstairs is really cool--it's somewhat separated, which helps you stay immersed, but there are still other arcade games up there so if you're waiting for your turn, you're not just standing around. One thing I really appreciated was the drink selection. I don't drink alcohol, and they had a TON of mocktail options, which honestly made the experience way better for me. It's not something every place puts effort into, so that stood out. The food was also surprisingly good, with plenty of options to choose from. Downstairs has more of a full bar vibe with additional games and more space to sit and eat (no VR down there), so it's nice to have both environments depending on what you're in the mood for. The man up front, I believe his name was Doug seemed very reluctant to help us. When we arrived he was more concerned about a broken lane and told us to wait and that he'll be right back. There was also a couple of people who spoke directly at him including a woman who just wanted to say thank you on her way out and he just ignored them both. As far as the place itself, It's pretty easy to find your way around but not a fan of how the bowling balls are sorted. You pretty much have to go to other unoccupied lanes to search for a ball if your lane doesn't have what you're looking for. Wasn't a huge fan of the red ambiance either. My youngest's favorite section is the slide that you have to ride a little cart down (roller slide). They have a type of bumper cars that require extra money to ride, but each time we have went, multiple bikes/cars were not working or stopped mid-turn. There are claw games and air hockey that costs extra as well. Each person, parents included, are not allowed to wear shoes inside, but need their branded socks. I do like this for the germ factor, but if you aren't prepared (I was wearing flip flops), the extra sock charge is there. For pricing, it is expensive. For a couple hours, it's a lot, but the benefit there is that they allow you to leave and come back that same day, so if you are making a day out of it, it makes more sense. For working parents, I couldn't get a wifi signal, but I did see a few adults with laptops, so I'm guessing they used their phones for signal. If noise bothers you, this place isn't for you...it's LOUD. I'm used to kids playing and having fun, but the walls seem to bounce the sound more than normal. When kids went in the light room and screamed, it echoed through the entire place. As far as food, there are only snacks. They have a few drinks and snack items to purchase, but if you are looking for a meal, you will have to leave and come back. The employees were nice, but the amount of times I saw a kid get hurt or do things like bring a bike to the top level and try riding it, there didn't have anyone watching to make sure kids were being safe. I like that it's not just VR but there's an area where you can play video games on different systems, a ping pong table, and air hockey. There's also a game that's kind of like pool but you use a golf club.. I don't know what it is called, but it was cool to try. On to the VR. I love how they had a ton of options to choose from and the game itself was clear and actually realistic. We played a game that was like Mario Party where we had to complete mini games against each other. Then, we played a zombie game it had me screaming like zombies really were coming after me! They have snacks like chips and cookies and drinks like soda and a few alcoholic beverages. The only "downside " is that there can only be 4 people playing VR at one time so if you have a large group like we did you won't get to play together. Overall everyone enjoyed themselves and we'll definitely be back!!
