Let me start by saying there is PLENTY of parking as it in a shopping plaza at the end. So when I arrived I came a sat at the bar and was greeted by the bartender. There was a waitress and she stated I should order a Frozen Pineapple Margarita. It was sweet so probably wouldn't order it again. What I thought was good was there was a lot of wait staff around and the menu was HUGE. It appears what every day they have a food special around $11-12. There was a good amount of people in the spot as the ambiance looks like a typical sports bar. Currently it's hot but there is a patio outside that I plan to take advantage of later in the fall. I sat at the bar and order a six piece battered wing which was around $8-9. The flavors were barbecue and lemon pepper. I enjoyed the barbecue flavor as the sauce had a little kick but was good. Now I didn't like the lemon pepper. I think they fried the wing dings and sprinkled ALOT of lemon pepper. It was so salty I couldn't even eat it. I tried dusting it off but it was too much. Wouldn't recommend. Overall all I would be back maybe to get more of a bar experience as I think this spot has potential to be at least a 4 or 5. If you're in the area I'd definitely stop in.

The food here is solid and most importantly is the vibe. The guests are amicable and seem down to earth, it's pleasant to visit each time. They have fantastic wings and an IPA that resonates to all IPA drinkers, I can say, I have drunk many different ones to count (lived in SOCAL for some time) and attended many BeerFests. They have more than 30+ televisions and show mostly sports and some other programs. They also feature a jukebox, darts, a cigarette vending machine, video golf, and other digital bar games that require a tablet to play. This is a neighborhood establishment that values thier guests and shows it.

It was pretty early on a Saturday evening, so it wasn't terribly busy. I sat at the bar. I don't know the bartender's name that served me, but she was nice. I ordered the Kingwood which is a gin based cocktail with cucumber. The drink was fine, but it was a little tart for my preference. A splash of simple syrup would have balanced it out. I did request for it to be less spicy (it has jalapeño in it). They have live music, though when I was there, they didn't have a band playing. They serve typical bar food like burgers, salads, and nachos. The vibe wasn't quite the same as the location in Spring Branch, but it was fine. This is a nice option for craft cocktails in Kingwood.

They also have a list of beers and wine, so again, something for every taste. For this visit I only had two drinks. Beach Break: 4/5 with choice of Gin or Vodka (I went with gin of course) it has a refreshing taste as it is shaken with fresh cucumbers and lime juice, it also has simple syrup. It was more tart than I would think it probably was going for. I did appreciate that they didn't go heavy on the sweetness, but would've liked it with agave as the fresh ingredients would go well with it. For my next visit I will likely ask to substitute with agave as they do have it and it was in my next drink. The Kingwood: 4/5 crafted with my favorite "Hendricks gin" and named after the neighborhood we live in, this cocktail is also refreshing and enjoyed more than the Beach Break. It went down easy, bartender did ask if I was good with the jalapeño that it's muddled with and this time I opted to only have it with muddled cucumber. Again refreshing and not tart so maybe this is the alternative to Beach Break. It is made with topo chico and Tajín rim. Overall it is a laid back environment, live music and the drink options are promising, it's a cocktail shop (candy shop). If you live in the area or find yourself in the area, do yourself a favor and come kick up your boots and hang ten.

Instead, I stumbled upon Letty's and called to see if they had room for our large group. They were incredibly accommodating, and they were able to seat the 13 of us together with only 30 minutes of notice. The decor was fun and beautiful, the food was fantastic (esp the ribeye appetizer,) but it was the staff / team who truly stood out and made our experience so fantastic. From the jefe holding the door open to welcoming us, to our server suggesting off-menu vegetarian options, we could hardly believe how welcome we felt. The restaurant was spacious, clean and incredibly chic / well designed and though we had already eaten too much earlier that day, the drinks and dinner had fantastic flavor, great portion sizes and most importantly.. they were served with so much love.
