First time in TX staying at a nearby hotel from this place. Came here twice. First night - food took 45+ minutes to come out. Bomb ass wings! I was also STARVING so who knows. Second night - bartender in picture stopped serving me at 1am for "last call" but was still serving other people???? In addition, they add an automatic 20% gratuity if your tab is over $80. Which is fine bc I would have tipped 25% lol. Luckily - all the people we met there were awesome. Good vibes from TX people! Would definitely go again lol. read more

We had a canceled flight and were staying at a nearby hotel. About 15 of us wandered into Shamrocks. Oddly, there are not a ton of more nationally known options nearby. It was a Thursday night and as our line of Ubers arrived the exterior lights were not illuminated and concern it was closed! Alas it was open but empty save for a card game going on in the giant unused bar. In the dining area we sat in separate booths. Most of the menu is out of stock. The fried chicken sandwich is 2 Sysco chicken fingers on a strohman roll. The server busted her a$$ to handle a crowd that the restaurant/bar was ill suited to do. read more

Don't believe the previous reviews! Shamrock's has taken a serious turn for the worse. I hadn't been there in a while but it's a totally different place. It was empty. Just a handful of locals at the bar. All the servers have either resigned or were fired. The bartender was the only person working. All the beer taps are empty. I have a mixed review.... I loved shamrocks its one of my favorite bars ... or it used to be. It use to have 2 sides open and you could listen to different music on either side. Now it only has one side open whenever i come . Also now they play horrible music and forces you to use the jjuke box to hear decent music. They use to play good music for free. If u didn't like the music on one side go to the other .also it's one particular bar tender that's rude as hell ... I think his name is T. ... if I can I always go to someone else. read more

We had seen and passed this bar frequently and were reluctant to go in but so glad we did. They are friendly have pool tables..darts..and a few video games along with some regular bar food. Great prices. I always go here when I'm playing poker on this side of Houston. Typical irish bar during the day My Guinness wasn't poured correctly, it's a pet peeve of mine because that's all I go to bars for. Guinness takes it pretty serious too just kinda of a buzz kill, so I'll just have one this go around. I asked the bartender if they poured it like that every time, to which the response was yes why is there something wrong with it. She was very nice and I'm not a snob. A friend and I were in the area and were in the mood to have a drink or two in a place with a lively and fun atmosphere and younger patrons. The Yelp app directed us here. Shamrock's Pub is basically 2 bars in one. When we first walked in, we entered an area that was full of smoke and had a long, rectangular bar to our left, booth seating to our right and was nearly full. Neither of us smoke and we wanted to sit at the bar, so I decided to check out the adjoining space to see if we'd have better luck there. It was yet another full bar, and lots of tables and chairs in this space were available, but this portion of Shamrock's was non-smoking. Perfect! The bartender was friendly, and the drink prices here are definitely reasonable (we had 2 mixed drinks and 2 pint drafts and the total was something like $16 with tax). They don't have a food menu, but do offer bowls of buttered popcorn, and on Tuesdays they feature a steak night. If you're staying near the airport on this side of town, this divey establishment is probably one of the more lively bars to come to through the week. read more

Me and my friends went out here last night and the bartender Tee was very rude and discriminative. Told my friend she looked nothing like her ID, and was trying to find any reason not to serve one of us trying to ask if we have other proof of identification. He was not attentive at all, and would ignore us when we came up to the bar and we would have to stand there for five minutes, with no one else in line. Maybe try this place during the day but not coming back at night. read more

Shamrock's or Sherlock's? It's hard to tell, as this place is pretty identical to any of the well known Sherlock's pubs around the Houston area. I visited here for the first time a few weeks ago and was pleasantly surprised. The space is large...much larger than it appears and offers a great variety of beers on tap an bottled. For the north Houston area this is a score, as most bars in the area are of the chain restaurant type. From what I've learned they have a $5 steak night on Tuesdays (which I have not partaken in) and big beer night on Wednesdays, which gets you a big beer for around $2.75...not bad at all! I would have to say the only downfall here is that smoking is allowed inside. I don't particularly like it, but for $2.75 beer I think I can handle it. read more

I'm still at Shamrock's twice a week. They have the best steak night in the Houston area on Tuesday night; $5 for a steak, baked potato, and salad. Wednesday is still Big Beer night, and they still have the best price. The bartenders are all very friendly, a couple of them have been there since I started going a few years ago, they really get to know their regulars. They only lost the star since the last review because some of those great bartenders who had been around for a long while either quit or were let go, and the biggest thing to me for a regular hangout is low staff turnover. This place is a bit tough to find if you aren't from the area. It's tucked in the corner of a strip mall. There is a smoking and non-smoking section, which is nice. I'm a non-smoker and I almost walked out until someone told me about the other side. It's a total dive bar. You're not going to go there to dance or find a hot girl, just a drink with a friend or two. My buddy and I went on steak Tuesday. And they ran out at 8pm. That was very disappointing. The bartender told us that that doesn't happen very often. Lots of camouflage wearing Texans here. We walked in and everyone was staring at us the entire time. We were definitely fish out of water. Definitely better places then this. I like to go on Mondays when the pool is free and there's a dj playing some good music. The staff seems to be changing a lot lately, but they've been really good. I saw a couple of roaches on the bar once, but it hasn't been a reoccurring incident. Edit- I stopped going because there were times I would ask about the free pool because the tables were locked. They usually tell me its no longer free but come unlock the tables anyways. Sometimes 3 are unlocked but one isn't, I tell the ppl playing on that fourth table. Usually they go and tell someone but it never gets unlocked. Draft beer was $1.75 but that promotion has also ended. Now I take my business to bogies. read more

It was awesome back when it was Sherlock's. Shamrock's not so much. Waitresses and bartenders are generally nice and have good service. But both times I've had to encounter the manager have been far less than pleasant. Basically it comes down to customer service.... When there was a tab dispute on why we weren't getting the drinks at the price the bartender said she'd give to us, the manager told us he'd have to go review the audio/visual tapes that they use to record the bar.... Okayyyy... not weird at all.... he comes back and lays it on about how he heard nothing about the price that we were claiming.... So I said you are really willing to lose 8 customers who come here every Weds over $40? I had no issue paying my tab (there was no way I was going to screw over my perfectly nice waitress and bartender) but how that guy handled the situation was piss-poor for a customer service industry. He basically said sucks to be you, enjoy the other bars in the area. read more

Typical sports bar with darts, some games, and TVs for viewing. Came for steak night and it wasn't that busy. For 7.99 you get a steak, mashed potatoes with your choice of toppings, and a side salad. Steak was cooked to order and was pretty good. I had 2 beers as well and it came out to only about 14 buck so I dont think there is a better deal out there. They allow smoking so that might be an issue for some but wasnt a bad place. I would like to try it again to see what a sporting event is like read more

Shamrocks Pub hosts the best St. Patrick's Day party. They usually have other events going on throughout the year. There are two sides in this pub. One side is more casual and good for watching sports while the other side has pool tables, a DJ booth and dance floor. My only complaint is that it's sometimes difficult to get a drink on the dance side. I recommend going over to the casual side to get a drink then bringing it with you to the other side. read more

I moved to Texas recently and I heard about this place and I loved it! The crowd was people in their 20's & 30's which is perfect. If you don't smoke then you might like it cause it's smoky in there. But, they're enough pool tables for everyone that wants to play. (First game is free) and everything about this place is everything that you love about dive bars . Been coming here for years. Great customer service and a kind of family atmosphere if you get to know the employees. Great live music, plenty of room to move about. A quiet side if you can't handle the louder band side. Reasonable prices as well with Happy Hour going through 9 PM weekly and all day on Sunday. $1.25 drinks after 9PM on Mondays. $2 drafts on Tuesday nights. $1.75 Big Ass Beers on Wednesdays and now the new 1-2-3 Thursdays. The staff may have changed a bit but the management is the same as it was in the days of Sherlock's Pub. When the place got sold they kept all the employees so as not to lose the atmosphere and customer service. All in all a great place to hang out! read more

This place is shit, I just went there after flying in to Texas from NJ since its near the airport. refused to serve me because I had a NJ ID...lol what a terrible place and service. OK, so there isn't much to do up here in Humble, but Sherlock's is easily the best bar in the area. They have 2.00 Shiner's and Miller Lite's, and the bartenders are quick and nice. They usually have local live music as well as trivia and some tvs to keep up with local sports. Nothing special about this bar, but a nice place to grab a brew. read more

Good cold drinks but a little pricey for those drinks. Service is so so depending on the bar tender. It's a okay place to visit if you are looking for mixed drinks and don't mind spending the money. read more
