My car died and the battery would only hold a 39 percent charge. I didn't know you never put my battery back into my car ( the one you said the auto parts store had over night to charge) and I had to purchase a new battery rather than have my battery which was less than 9 months old in the car and if it was defective it would have been replaced under warranty which is why I called and texted many times during the after noon but could not wait any longer and had to spend 300 dollars. You owe me at least 300 dollars plus a list of items..... Such as agreement to repair at my house: only to be asked to have it towed to yours- 150.00 Broken fax clutch and fax- 300 or so Over a week without a car for a job that has an 8 hour estimated time. Uber and rental car 550.00 Overcharging me for parts 300.00 And yes it was the crankshaft sensor that we texted you may be the issue ( while trying to help you figure out the reason it would not start) By the way it started prior to you working on it and had to be driven onto the tow truck

Since my car went in for her regular maintenance just a week ago, I know I'd pass inspection. We are lucky to have a smog garage near us. Advanced Auto Center has been our go-to garage for our car's care. They certainly take care of our cars. The owners and staff are friendly, efficient, and shows they care about their clients. Both Kutter and Kambria are friendly, engaging, great listeners and above all, knowledgeable. I brought my 2014 Dodge Charger for service. What I received was way more. When I returned to pick up my car, I found Kambria had performed a diagnostic of my car. She explained that is standard procedure for all customers. Thanks to the extra customer service, I learned that the ball joints and upper control arms needed replacement, as well as an alignment, brake fluid system flush and air filter housing. Fortunately, when I purchased my car I also purchased a Chrysler Max Care warrantly. The ball joints and upper control arms were covered by the warranty. So off to the CDJR dealership in Fresno I went. While there, the service advisor said he would match costs for brake fulid flush, alignment and air filter housing. From the dealership, I called Kambria about the offer. She told me she would perfectly understand if I chose to have the dealership perform the repairs, since the car was already there. I thanked her and I assured her that I already agreed to have Advanced handle the additional repairs, and an agreement, is an agreement. I thanked the service writer for his kindness and explained that the three additional repairs were promised to Advanced. I brought the car back to Advanced and once again Kambria handled the repairs. As an aside, I also wanted to install a back up camera for my PT Cruiser; not an easy feat since the car sits close to the ground. Kutter researched, found and installed the perfect back up camera. I've been around for a while and over the years have worked with various repair shops. Right from the beginning, Kutter and Kambria treated me like I was their only customer. How many members of that club are still around? I stopped at Oakhurst Tire Saturday late afternoon after Napa recommended them to me. They were very polite and professional. Luckily for me, they had one rear tire in stock which was fitting my bike. Pricing was good and tire was awesome. They install it right away, and I was able to arrived on the other side of the Sierra on time before night. Thank you so much!

Smog check was $39.75 and if it passes they add $8.25 so that would be $48 total. That's the cheapest I could find in the small amount of time I had. Place looked sketchy and next to a gas station that I couldn't even tell if it was open or not lol. It's only one man working there. He takes the calls, handles the payments and what's under the hood. Kudos to him! There was only one person in front of me but he was just finishing up with them. Then it was my turn, I showed him the coupon and honestly he didn't care for it lol. Dude was in motion, barely any small talk. Fine for me cus I wanted to be in and out! He didn't take long at all. Just told me $48 and since I paid with card they charge an extra dollar or in my case, 99 cents lol. Not bad! He literally only took 10 mins or less. There's a beat up couch I sat on but he does have a little heater in the small wait room for us to keep warm. Got my certificate and receipt and went on with my day. I definitely recommend coming here if u need a quick smog check!!

After 2 hours in 100+ weather "Our knight in shining mechanic uniform" (aka Josh Duhamel look alike) Robert R. came to our rescue with a blood pressure cuff looking apparatus and within minutes we were inside an ice cold truck and headed back home. We were on our way to Yosemite when we lost all antifreeze/coolant. We had to coast down hill until we got to Oakhurst. All the auto shops were booked, BUT The Rusty Piston squeezed us in, as we were flying out the next day. They were able to get us back on the road and we made it back to San Diego in time! Customer service was outstanding. Called earlier that morning to set up an appointment and they moved some things around to get me in later that afternoon. The service was very prompt and courteous plus it is right across the street from SouthGate so just went and got a bite. By the time I was done the car was ready. My new smog place! read more

Took out Subaru into the Rusty Piston, they did $1200 worth of work, did a compression test drove it 245 miles and found out they left an oil seal out which caused a crack in the block. Called the owner Julie and Rob the manager claimed no responsibility, no matter what do not take your vehicle here unless you want to be ripped off. read more

Brought my car in for a smog test. While the tech was doing the smog he also did a checkup for maintenance at no extra charge, something I've not had with any other smog shop! They have people working there that I've known most of my life and can trust 100%. read more

He insisted that it was the radiator nothing wrong with my radiator, but I went ahead and let him replace the radiator. His brother was the one that worked on it as he was taking the radiator out, he tore my air tube, then tried to tape it up with black electrical tape to cover up his mistake. A week later the tape had sucked into the motor and I caught it just in time oh and the head gasket blew out a month later.
