I was extremely disappointed by what I witnessed at this shop recently. A lesbian couple was asked to leave simply for showing a perfectly normal amount of affection. It was clear that the management's "standard" for PDA is applied selectively and unfairly. In this day and age, seeing such blatant discrimination is unacceptable. I prefer to spend my money at businesses that welcome everyone. I won't be coming back. read more

I don't give two durns about someone's sexual orientation. I don't really even call myself an ally, but I keep to myself and treat everyone equally which isn't most what everyone should do. I watched the owner of this shop tell this gay couple to leave the other day just because they "got caught" giving each other a peck on the lips. Absolutely ridiculous. The Rusty Porch is always a great experience. Such a great variety of primitive and vintage...my friends and I have been shopping there for years. Our favorite is the seasonal decor...we are looking forward to the March Spring open house....bring on the bunnies and baby chicks. The owner Denise just helped me expand my butter pat collection...thanks Denise...they look so good in my vintage daschund cracker dish. I was visiting my sister this past weekend and we went into this adorable shop! What a gem of a place and we met the owner Denise and she was such a delight. She was warm and welcoming and really brings such eclectic and diverse shopping options for the community. Such a great place to shop and grab a delicious bite to eat, I highly reccommend visiting here and supporting a local small business owner. This shop is full of adorable things. Right now it's a Winter Wonderland full of all your Christmas treasures! I love their candles, they smell so good! I had no idea they had a lunch menu, sweet treats, coffee, tea, wine! I had a lovely sandwich, almond dill chicken salad. It was so good, included chips and a little chocolate. Also enjoy a pot of tea. I loved the sandwich and most definitely will be back. They take reservations for their Pine Tea, like a high tea. Looks like it's a monthly tea. Not only can you enjoy an adorable store but you can feed your face or have some drinks! read more

We came to the Rusty Porch primarily because we heard they hosted a monthly Tea. The store itself is very closed in with many coveys of various items for sale. In many places you must turn sideways to squeeze by and pass other people. The atmosphere of the store is that of a charming tool shed environment for pickers. The Tea that we had come for was sold online as a Pie Tin Tea. We had never heard of such a tea so curiosity got us. There was no menu posted so we had to assume we would get one upon arrival. We expected a British style tea but this was more of a southern lunch that had a pot of warm tea instead of coffee or a sweet tea. There was no choice in the menu and we didn't know until arrival that the menu was pre-selected. The table next to us also asked us if we knew what the menu was as they had no idea either. There was no choice for a menu, we had just found out it was a pulled pork sandwich, a cupcake, a bowl of coleslaw and a pot of distinctly tepid tea that was unfortunately weak and had no bag or leaves to make it stronger. A pie tin picnic would be a more appropriate name as it had more of a southern flair than being called a tea. We started with a white chocolate raspberry scone that came with a raspberry flavored whip cream. The scone itself was an interesting item as it was moist and sweet and had bits of white chocolate intermingled throughout. When the entrée came, yes, it was served on a pie tin that had a sheet of paper on it. The pulled pork sandwich was a dull, uninspired sandwich with a standard barbecue sauce on a soft plain white roll. The pork is mushy and flavorless as if it had come from a can. It pains me to write a review like this, but if I can't be honest in my interpretation then reviews are meaningless. The coleslaw is made on site and is very fresh and crisp. The red velvet cupcake saved the day. Very moist and not too sweet, it melts in your mouth. The chocolate frosting is deliciously light and also not too sweet. read more

This place is SO cool! The vendors all have their booths decorated to the 9s! SO Beautiful! I loved LOVED walking through every vendor space and had to go around again because there was SO much to see! I bought some died flowers, a doily, a valentines gift for my husband and a wax figure for my spring decorating. But I wanted the crochet gnomes and mushrooms, the white flower plates, jewelry, kitchen towels, NFS sign, a snail made from a fork, and the cutest purse! Every corner was a surprise of something so creative. Must go! Oh and I guess they do a tea seating once a month by reservation! read more

I loved browsing through all of the handmade wares and my Chicken Almond Dill Sandwich hit the spot, it was very good! The handmade, hand-decorated cookies were both delicious and beautiful. Such a cute store full of Etsy type home decor. You can find anything from furniture, decor, candles, and tea! We walked away with an Oregon ornament and two bags of loose leaf tea. While my sister in law bought even more, including a large metal cow for her home! If you are looking for decor with the simple rustic look this store is worth the stop!
