DON'T do it - procedure resulted in going to the Emergency Room and *hospitalization for 2 days…read morewith a pneumothorax (aka collapsed lung).* It has taken me about 6 months to write this. Partially because I was hoping I could put the whole experience behind me, but more also that they would step up and make things right. That has not been the case unfortunately. To summarize: during my procedure they hit an area around my ribs. My body reacted immediately and let out a very large cough which stopped for the procedure for a minute. For the next 24 to 30 hours, I followed all instructions. It was the night after my procedure that I felt something was not right. I heard crackling in my lungs. Thankfully I listened to my body and went to urgent care where they did X-rays and discovered I had a pneumothorax (a collapsed lung). From there I was told for someone to drive me straight to the emergency room. Upon arrival in the ER, they did more X-rays and confirmed the same as urgent care. I was then admitted for two days where I had a tube inserted to fill back up my lung. Due to the pain, I was given medication which was able to help some but also caused nausea and raised creatinine levels(which also then had to be monitored and therefore made for an even longer ER stay). After returning home from the hospital and recovering a bit more, I reached out to request a refund (or even partial refund). I had spent two days in the ER with a tube in my chest. Unable to get out of bed (which was not good for post op as you are supposed to walk to help with seeing and drainage), unable to work, and unable to help care for my children. They denied my request even after sending copies of my X-rays ect. I would also confirm your doctor is board certified as I believe they are not all certified.
