I've had a wonderful experience at Boston Medical Aesthetics so far! The front desk and staff have been lovely to interact with. For my first treatment, I went in for masseter botox. My masseter muscles were getting so big from grinding/clenching/excessive gum chewing that I felt like I didn't look like myself anymore. I also popped the enamel off one of my teeth which my dentist believes is from clenching. I felt that it was time. Erin walked me through the process and made me feel comfortable. It was a quick and painless experience. I just went in for my two week follow-up and we did a minor touch up on the left side (which felt like a rock when I clenched pre-botox). I had the weirdest experience here. I've been to several places but I've never felt as self conscious as I did when I went here. The woman who worked with me made me feel like my lips were completely terrible and botched. One of the first things I said was that I was self conscious about my big chin and she immediately started talking about chin fillers, even though I literally just said that that is what I dislike about my chin. I felt like she was pushing so many services on me. She wanted to do Botox all over my forehead. And suggested doing Botox to my lips. This place literally just felt like a place that wanted to make you feel the worst possible so that you would spend as much money possible to feel better about yourself. And honestly, no offense, but her own lips were super overfilled and not the best example. I felt so pressured to get something done so I finally just got some Botox near my eyes/a slight eyebrow lift due to my asymmetrical eyebrows...and guess what. She lifted the WRONG eyebrow. I came home only to realize that she put more injections in one eyebrow than the other, which means one will be higher than the other when the Botox kicks in. I'm never coming back here again. read more

I went in for a repeat injection with a different staff member. I asked for the same thing I received last time and that is not what I was given. There was a documentation error which caused the new injector to do the "standard injection areas" even though that is not what I received before yet the owner did not believe me when I went in for a follow up. It is in the crows feet where I wanted injections and injecting too low gives you an eye shelf that makes your smile messed up. This is pretty common knowledge in this practice but as a newer patient to this treatment I did not know this until I researched after getting horrible results. My results the first time were great. When I went in for the second time I noticed the injection site was in a slightly lower spot under my eye than last time but didn't question at the time. The current staff is not educated on what is best for the individual. They will inject the standard even if that is not what is right for you. When I was dissatisfied with my injections and the results of how my face looked the owner told me to just wait till it wears off. She kept expressing she wants me to be happy but kept telling me it looked good in her office light and wouldn't take into account any of the photos I wanted to show her. She had no resolution but to wait it out. This takes months. After throwing a fit they finally gave me a refund but did not fix the dissatisfaction of my face. I went in two separate times for a follow up and it's not cheap to park or get down to that area so I expressed that I don't care to come in again if all they are going to do is tell me sorry I just have to wait it out. And that's exactly what happened. Took more time off from work and an additional 40$ to get down to their office. I recommend going anywhere else before stepping foot in this practice. The owner does not know how to run her practice when mistakes are made. After my research and speaking with other injectors it seems the owner could use some more education in this field. read more

Clean and punctual which was great! However, I have been getting Botox for years and they not only tried to DRAMATICALLY oversell me (I'm in my mid-twenties so I do very little) but the girl scoffed at me when I told her I wanted half the amount she was trying to push on me. When I asked if they used brand-named Botox the response was "Uhh, yeah, we've been here for 11 years..." - not sure how that's relevant or why I was given such an attitude. She made me feel like an idiot, I understand that I'm young but I know my stuff and I wasn't asking any sort of wild, accusatory questions. Finally she injected me with a HUGE needle (usually places use a small one for more precise measuring and less painful placement) and she leaned aggressively on me when doing it. I have darker skin. Having been burned in the past by laser hair removal, I was nervous about taking on a groupon type deal for this place. I did extensive research and talked to Jennifer ahead of time for reassurances regarding the machine she uses. I decided to do underarms. I think I ended up getting 2 groupons for a total of about 10 treatments. It's been almost 2 years since my last treatment, and I'm essentially hair free. Occasionally I have to shave very fine hairs. But it's barely noticeable. Jennifer is generous and offered a very reasonable price should I need a touch up. I went in for my touch up last week and feel confident that I won't have to touch my underarms for the rest of the summer. The office is clean and located within an existing dental practice. It is conveniently located in fanuel hall right across the street from Bertuccis. Jennifer is kind, knowledgeable and efficient. This is my place of choice for my laser hair removal needs. read more
