I was left sitting with numbing cream on my face for an entire hour before I finally went into the nurse's office to ask if I had been forgotten. She apologized, and while she was kind, I lost an hour of my time. I chose not to leave a review because I assumed she was simply overbooked, and I didn't want to blame an individual for what seemed like a scheduling issue. Unfortunately, today's experience confirmed that the problem is with LaserAway's organization. I arrived for my 11:00 a.m. appointment only to find out the clinic wasn't opening until noon because a nurse couldn't come in until later. The issue isn't that something unexpected happened--it's that no one communicated this to me beforehand. They admitted they should have notified me, but by then I had already driven there and rearranged my day. As an athlete, I can only schedule these treatments on my one day off each week because I can't work out for 24 hours afterward. Morning appointments are already extremely difficult to book, so having one wasted because of poor communication is incredibly frustrating. What disappoints me most isn't just the mistakes--it's how they're handled. Both times I received an apology, but there was no meaningful effort to make things right. Good customer service isn't about never making mistakes; it's about how you respond when you do. The only reason I continue coming here is because I prepaid for my treatments. Once I've used them all, I won't be returning. If you're looking for a place to start laser or skincare treatments, I would recommend choosing a local clinic that values your time and communicates with its clients. Deanna is so talented and did such a good job getting the likeness of my dog in my tattoo, it was everything I asked for and more! Deanna is super nice, professional, and easy to talk to. She makes you feel very comfortable throughout the whole process. When the tattoo was done, Deanna asked me if she could invited in her coworkers to see it (which of course I said yes!) this big burly man walks in to see and after looking at it in the sweetest dad-like voice tells Deanna "I'm so proud of you!" For her work. If that doesn't tell you the kind, supportive, good-vibes that fill this shop, I don't know what does. The price was also reasonable given that this shop is in the city and you have to expect their shop minimum will be higher than somewhere out in the burbs where they wouldn't have to pay Boston rent to keep the lights on! I found that Poly was extremely knowledgeable and has a substantial wealth of experience in various techniques and practices used in MedSpa's. Poly walked me through the dysport process, the difference between dysport and botox, asked me about previous experiences, made me feel extremely comfortable to ask any and all questions that I had. I also realized that she had more knowledge and experience than I ever imagined, which was reassuring. The process was professional, quick, pain free, and Poly made me feel right at home. I have absolutely loved getting my laser treatments here! Right from the start Lana made me feel…read morecomfortable and happy with my results, as during my consult she did a spot test on my leg. It didn't hurt a bit, and that's coming from someone who stopped laser treatments in the past because the pain was unbearable and the numbing cream was very expensive. Lana gives me some of the numbing cream (free of charge) for my sensitive areas before we start and by the time we get to those places I seriously don't feel a thing. Besides the great customer service, this one small detail has really sealed the deal for me. Throw in the fact that my 5 treatment ares only take about 45 mins, and you can see why I've told all of my friends about this place multiple times over. I just finished my third treatment and I'm so happy with my results. Some follicles are more stubborn than others, but overall I essentially go the entire time without shaving between treatments since my hair comes in slowly, light, and fine. I highly recommend seeing Lana for your laser procedures and investing in yourself this way! It's expensive, but worth it!

I had an unpleasant experience with this business. They attempted to move the appointment to a time…read morethat was more convenient for them and when I was not available. I told them to cancel and I would reschedule based on my availability. I then 24 hours later receive an email with confirmation with the original time, instead of the cancellation. By that time, I had made alternative plans but because this was 24 hours before the actual appointment a $75 charge was required to cancel. When I arrived, the technician was forceful and slimey with her business dealings. When I told her this was maintenance for previous treatment performed prior to moving to Boston, she proceeded to insult an entire city of people as though they were low class. They verbally quoted one price and wrote a different price in contract. When I corrected them, it was given a rebuttal and then ultimately changed again when I declined the service. This lets me know they make up pricing on the fly and based on who is in front of them. One service I wanted to save for another day, but she insisted on performing the day of consultation (to get the money) even though I did not have time. She then made up another day for me to come back and told the scheduler to schedule me at that time, even though I did not request that time. I think they have unethical practices and I will not be returning. I will fly back to my original dermatologist and aesthetician for better service.
