Colorist was Desa very unprofessional when I called to tell her that she purposely put the color in for the highlights a half an inch from the root , which she knew I did not want her reply was well. I'm sorry it wasn't as good as last time. If you don't want to come back that's fine my client is here I got to go and she hangs up on me. Extremely unprofessional, very bad attitude. I have reported this to corporate, and I am working on some kind of resolution for this horrible experience of the color was also wheat color not a beautiful color at all not totally unfortunate looking but this would be a last resort place to go and get your hair colored I will never go back! read more

I wasn't going to leave a review at first, but after today's experience, I changed my mind. I am a college student from out of state, and was visiting home for a little weekend fall break. I wanted to get my hair done, mainly a big cut, because my long hair was hard to maintain while being at school. I knew I wanted a balayage too, because I had it done at this salon before, and it was always subtle and looked really good. I showed the stylist a photo of a balayage that I had gotten. I said I didn't want it to be as drastic as the photo, and I also wanted to cut it to my shoulders. She said she could do it, but I sensed that she didn't seem too sure. I should have left right then. She ended up covering my whole head in foils and I was a little confused because I had never had that many foils for a balayage. I didn't speak up because I wanted to trust her. She left it on for a while, and then took them out. She said that one half didn't bleach as much, so she went in and put more bleach on that half, and I sat for a few more minutes. At this point I knew something was very off. I saw that my hair was extremely yellow, and my roots were basically a straight line across my head. I started crying and at that point she should have stopped and had someone more experienced handle the situation. Unfortunately she kept going, thinking she could tone out the yellow. She put the toner on and it helped a little bit, but it was so bad. She had bleached all of my hair, no highlights nor a balayage, except for my roots. It was not blended in with the natural color of my roots whatsoever. Not to mention she took FOUR HOURS to complete this disaster. She kept saying "it's pretty blended" after my mom addressed our concerns to her. Her exact words after we told her that it didn't look good were "it's not that bad." You never wanna hear that from a hair stylist. I was devastated. I genuinely panicked because I had to leave for school in 2 days. I walked up to the front desk and they I could tell they knew it was bad. They wanted me to come back another day but I needed to leave for school that weekend and couldn't spend another 3 or 4 hours in the salon. The next day I went to a trusted hair stylist who helped me cover the bleached part of my hair with a brown color that matched my roots. Unfortunately you could still subtly see the bleached line. I knew that this dye would wash out soon and I would be back to square one. This is an issue since I can't fly back to home on a whim just to get my hair dye touched up. Not to mention my hair is now extremely damaged and stretchy from how long and how much bleach she left on it. Flash forward to today. My mom had been speaking with the manager of this salon, because she offered to have a master stylist fix my hair for free. She seemed really nice on the phone. They obviously wanted to remedy the situation in order to protect their reputation. I agreed because I had no other options and it was free. Instantly when I showed up today, I knew I wasn't going to get my hair fixed. The lady at the front desk looked me up and down and gave me a really weird vibe. I told her my name and she ignored me, looking to my mom who introduced herself. We thought this woman was the person who my mom spoke with on the phone because they have the same name, but this woman seemed rude and acted like we were an inconvenience of sorts. Yet, she went back and told my stylist we were there. When we sat down, I asked my mom if we should even stay. We agreed that we should go to the "consultation" and then trust my gut from there. The manager that we spoke with on the phone had told us she would join us in the consultation. We were hoping that the woman at the desk wasn't her, and that we would meet her during this time. Unfortunately when the stylist took us back, the manager didn't show up. Not to mention, the woman who had destroyed my hair was doing someone else's hair right next to us! I cannot believe she still works at that salon. The master stylist that we consulted with today was a great guy and tried to come up with a solution. I had him do my hair before and so I already knew that, but it was great to know that someone was trying to help. Still the manager didn't show up. Unfortunately we couldn't come up with a solution and I left, to no fault of this master stylist. Overall both of my experiences were unacceptable. I didn't want to be petty and leave a review after my hair was destroyed, but after today, I am done being wronged by this salon. They were so rude today and not once did I get an apology from the manager or anyone else when I showed up today. I cannot believe the manager wasn't there, especially after she was "so sorry" over the phone. I will never step foot in this salon again. read more

I decided to try this salon on a whim. It's a little confusing to book on the JCP app, but I ended up with an appt with Desa on the date I was wanting to book for. A few days before the appt I was called to confirm and the receptionist told me it was an hour earlier than I booked, I asked to clarify and she told me that my appt was in fact the earlier time slot. No big deal, that worked out better for me anyways. Upon arrival Desa greeted me and was so nice and welcoming. She did a thorough job asking what I wanted to achieve and recommending that she did a full highlight instead of bayalage. She made sure I was going to have enough time for the change in processing time and let me know of the price difference before she even mixed the color! She made great conversation throughout the whole appointment and was extra accommodating when I realized last minute I needed to hop on a work call. I will definitely be back to see her! 11/10 would recommend. I'll also include before / after pics. (My after pic was taken after I had to ride a motorcycle home so excuse the helmet hair , but you can see how much brighter she was able to get my hair and added lots of layers) read more

I've been going to this salon for a good few years now, and I have to say no place will ever compare for hair! Kat is the lady to go to, especially if you want amazing color in your hair. She is a hair genius. I've always had trouble with other hair salons and stylists as I have thick, resilient hair. Kat knows what looks good, and she will do everything in her power to make sure you have a luxury experience. The rest of the staff is fantastic as well, and they are always very kind and courteous. I am new to the area. I got my haircut from Debra. She chopped quite a bit of my long hair off per my request and I absolutely love it! She did a wonderful job. The salon had a great environment and even quite a bit of deals so I also bought some shampoo/conditioner. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a new place! read more

Went in as a walk-in. Was told I could get my haircut at 6:00. Did some shopping, came back at 5:45. 6:00 came and went. 6:20 someone said, "Do you know who you're waiting for? Did you need help?" i said yes, had a 6:00 haircut scheduled. Was told that the woman that was going to do my haircut was almost done with her client, while, meanwhile, three other hair stylists were standing around. Waited another 30 minutes, other hair stylists standing around the whole time. Pissed that I was waiting for this one hair stylist when there were others, I got up and left. Never got a phone call to let me know when they were done. read more

Made an appointment for 1 pm with Jacqueline Brown, got there earlier. At 1:05 I asked the receptionist about how much longer? Her reply was 10-15 minutes. Okay, fine I'll wait. At about 1:20 Jackie comes out and asks if I can wait another 10-15 minutes, she is really close to being finished with her current client. At 1:40 I go back to the receptionist and ask if there is ANYBODY who can cut my hair any time soon? Her reply was that Ms. Brown was so close to being done. I waited until 2 pm then left without rescheduling my appointment. Don't schedule an appointment with Ms. Brown and if they are running late expect the receptionist to lie to your face about how long it's going to take. I will not be using their services again. ALL I F***ING WANTED WAS A HAIRCUT THAT SHOULD HAVE TAKEN 30 MINUTES MAX. read more
