The absolute best donut I have ever tasted in my life! This was my first time trying The Salty Donut, and I am completely hooked. The flavors and texture are unmatched. When I visited, there was only one lady working. Even though it wasn't super busy at the time, she was doing a great job, and the overall ambiance of the shop was amazingso welcoming and clean. I'm definitely going to come back here to study, sip some coffee, and try another donut soon. I can't wait to go back!

Yum! I rarely review dessert spots these days, but The Salty Donut wow'ed me enough to warrant a review. The husband loves sweets so he had to look up places to go for our dessert after our anniversary dinner. We came in around 9 PM on a Friday night. The place was empty but then a few folks wandered in. Though I suppose the pastries wouldn't be the freshest at this time of day, we were still impressed. We purchased the banoffee pie ($4.75) and pistachio cannoli ($4.95) donuts. Banoffee pie: With such an impressive name, the first bit did not disappoint. Though this donut looked more plain, the flavors were impressive. I guess the flavors were a mash of banana and coffee so hence the name. It was really delectable. Even the dough at this hour was still chewy and anything but stale. Pistachio cannoli: Impressive in presentation, but it's still more like a donut than a cannoli. Once you bite into it, you'll know it's more of a donut consistency than cannoli. The chocolate and pistachio coating added nice textures and flavors, but I wasn't a true fan since I was eyeing to have a true cannoli. The flavors were there, but it's just a donut dressed up as a cannoli. The Salty Donut is located in the Krog Street Market space. It's more on the street level around the perimeter than inside the market.

I only had two doughnuts because they were basically $5 each and I'm not made of money. It was surprisingly delicious. I had the pistachio cannoli and the bannoffee. Both were delicious. The pistachio cannoli was sweeter and didn't have a strong pistachio taste but it was large. The bannaoffee was banana/toffee or maybe coffee flavor and it was delicious. I liked that it wasn't overly sweet. It could've used a little more cream at the top. After taking a bite of the two, I immediately wanted to try the other flavors, but the wife prevented me from being a glutton. I liked how there was a self-serve water station. More bakeries need stuff like that. Would I come here again? Yes This will be my staple dessert if I'm at Krog. Jenni's ice cream is overpriced to me.

get there early because all the good ones sell out fast we came at 11:15 and they only had maybe two or three left. We got the pistachio cannoli, which was absolutely amazing. I was skeptical about the root beer doughnut but it was actually very good.

LOCATION: On the Beltline. I usually walk here so not sure of the parking situation. FOOD: $5 STRAWBERRY CHEESECAKE: specialty donut glazed on a soft brioche donut filled with a cheesecake cream. VERY SWETT, very soft & fluffy, delicious if you like specialty donuts. $8 ICED OAT MILK VANILLA BEAN LATTTE: it was OK. Pretty watered down in my opinion. Should've got a hot coffee to go with my sweet donut.

Krispy Kreme has met their match! We've come a long way from the days when our only options were Dunkin and Krispy Kreme. I stopped in while I was waiting on my table for Superica, so why not eat dessert first? It happened to be a Saturday night around 7:30 and they weren't crowded at all. The donut selection of the day consisted of 16 flavors, half of which were still available. After an agonizing decision making process (lol) I decided on the Samoa donut (yes like the Girl Scout cookie). It was delicious! The donut batter itself is semi sweet so the toppings do most of the heavy lifting. This is fine with me because I don't usually have a sweet tooth. Donut prices ranged from $3.80 to $4.70 each. They rotate certain flavors seasonally. The space is modern and clean inside with seating for about 20 people inside with a couple tables outside. They have wifi if you'd like to post up and get some work done while you enjoy sweet treats. Staff was friendly and the ordering process was quick and efficient. Parking is available in the Krog street lot ($) or you can hunt down a spot on one of the side streets for free.

EAT DONUTS HERE! These babies are quality. Was I skeptical at first? Perhaps. There seem a fair number of donut shops in ATL (not that I've tried them yet lol), though when you drive/walk past several in one day you start wondering if they're all good. Happy to say these treats will satisfy any sweet tooth! I tried the candied pistachio, chocolate whoopie pie and regular chocolate glazed and enjoyed all of them. Given the sugar glaze I was concerned they'd be too cloyingly sugary, but surprisingly the inside flavor and glaze balanced each other so I didn't feel like I was eating a sugar bomb. To be specific I didn't eat the entire donut just a piece of each. Came by on a weekend late afternoon 4:30pm and the donut cafe was pretty devoid of eat-in customers, though seemed to have a steady trickle of customers getting takeout orders to go. The donut selection of the day consisted of 16 flavors, all of which were still available. These were traditional glazed, chocolate glazed, bacon&butter&salt, vegan cinnamon sugar crumble, GF chocolate whoopie pie, birthday sundae, gingerbread French toast, pumpkin pie cake donut, maple twist, candied pistachio, and strawberry shortcake. Donut prices ranged from $3.80 to $4.70 each. They swap out some flavors seasonally. Other not donut pastries were their apple crisp cinnabun, Oreo cookies&cream roll, butter pecan pop tart, which ranged from $3.60 to $4.80 each, and 6 donuts holes for $3.60. The space is modern and clean inside with seating for about 20 people inside with a couple tables outside. They serve cold and hot drinks too.the staff was friendly, ordering took about 5 minutes to place the order and for them to box up. Bathroom available. No dedicated parking lot but you can find street or structure parking nearby.

The donut cravings were real and GrubHub had The Salty Donut so I took the opportunity to order. I ordered a Mixed Berry Cheesecake, vegan PB&J and chocolate cake donut holes. I was surprised how big these donuts are and even got an extra donut hole! The mixed berry cheesecake was filled with cheesecake filling that wasn't too sweet - tbh not my favorite flavor though. However, the vegan PB&J is where it's at! The blend of salty peanut and sweet glaze was the perfect combo. The cake donut holes were not crumbly and moist. Solid sweet offering from The Salty Donut!

Amazing spot for a coffee and a decadent snack. Their lovely display of current offerings makes it easier to pick and there are always a fair amount of seasonal flavors that make it worthwhile to drop by again. They also close late for a donut/coffee place, so it's really great if you're craving a snack later in the day. I recommend the variety donut holes if you're looking for something lighter as their donuts are pretty big! My favorite so far has been the candied pistachio donut- sweet with slight crunch and salty notes. Seating available indoors and outdoors. It gets fairly crowded during peak hours. Parking options nearby: limited street parking (basically only available 11-3 on a weekday) or paid parking at the Krog St Market lot/garages.

The interior (and exterior) is clean and well-maintained. The bathroom was spotless. I believe this shop is an offshoot of the Kaldi's brand. The line can get pretty long but the two baristas working on this day were strong and able to get people in and out. Service was efficient and friendly, but they do show warmer interactions with people who are clearly regulars. Can't be mad at it. I got a strawberry matcha latte and a bacon/egg/cheese which apparently comes on a bagel and isn't customizable at all. Matcha was good -- typical more than anything. The sandwich was pre-made slop. Fake egg, limp bacon, flavorless and doughy bagel. I would have skipped on this entirely had I known they were going to grab a bag from their grab-n-go section and put it in a microwave. Totally not worth $9. Skip unless you're starving and simply need the calories. Luckily they offer a discount for anyone who works in Ponce City Market, which is sweet and made me feel better about that horrible sandwich. It's a great place to sit and people watch if you can manage to grab a seat.

As such, let's talk about my recent visit. The location sits towards the rear of the high traffic area which is perfect for finding parking. Upon walking in there is an assortment of treats that capture your eye. The ambiance of the location is super chill and artsy. The paintings on the wall are not only amazing but they are for sale as well. Talk about a win win! Being this was my first time I wanted to go outside of my usual coffee order. I decided on the Coffee of the Day with a shot of Almond and Vanilla. The Murder Blend has a smooth Coffee taste. This is the perfect blend for someone (such as myself) who enjoys the authentic taste of coffee. As I love a good Dark Blend. This Medium/Dark Blend allows the roast flavor to be very evident. The flavor profile has a heavy body, and the flavor is prominent but isn't spicy and has the authentic bittersweet tang, subtle chocolate and caramel flavors, with hints of smokiness. Yeah! As you can see, this is a perfect coffee for any moment of the day... The flavor shots are strong which pair well with the heaviness of the Murder Blend. The young lady who helped me originally was nice, however, as she wasn't as much of a coffee drinker I was unable to get her take on any of the other blends. As such, I will be back again to be surprised by the daily blend. Overall, this location is great for a break from a busy day, a chance to meet with friends, or even a quick business conversation. All of the aforementioned will fit in this location with any blend of coffee.
