Carmel churro, white chocolate bunny, and passion fruit (left to right)

This was really good. It was so good that I forgot to take a picture before I started eating the mochinut this time.

Craving a guilt-free indulgence? Have you tried Mochinut located in Chattahoochee Foodworks? Sink your teeth into the perfect blend of crispy, golden churros and soft mochi goodness. Baked, not fried, these treats are not only delicious but also healthier than regular donuts. The caramel churro was the perfect treat and it was not too sweet. Treat yourself without the guilt! Staff is friendly and will help you select the right treat.

Mochinut can also be found in Chattahoochee Works. The service was moving slow. I decided to eat and come back later. There was only 1 person in front of us but they were very indecisive. We need what we wanted and could wait. The staff was ok. I wouldn't say overly friendly. They were ok. They pointed out the different flavors and asked what we wanted. We got the one with raspberry drizzled funnel cake and chocolate oreo. I am going to Mochinut is a different concept. I tried the raspberry funnel cake. The consistency was very chewy. The presentation of the product looks great. The various flavors look good and there is variety. I thought it was okay. Too chewy for me. For the price, which is $3.75, there were not my cup of tea. However, they were not horrible and encourage others to try something new.

I'm loving all the mochi donut shops pop up around Atlanta! Mochinut is a popular brand of mochi donuts based in California. They have locations all over the US and in Asia. They have a few locations OTP and more opening soon, but this location is the only one in Atlanta so far and the first one in Georgia. Chattahoochee Food Works is the perfect setting for Mochinut. They're kind of tucked in the back, so you have to look for them. Once you get there, you are immediately welcomed by the cute and colorful donuts on display as well as the sweet, sweet smell. I ordered a caramel churro, peanut butter chocolate, and passionfruit. I've only had two other mochi donut brands prior to tasting Mochinut, so not many to compare it to. However, I really enjoyed the flavors and the chewy, fluffy dough. The flavors were on point and not too sweet. I shared the donuts with two other friends who had never had mochi donuts before and they loved them!

I have never tried mochi donuts before, so I have nothing to compare this experience too but I really liked them! I recommend trying them if you haven't! They are located inside Chattahoochee Food Works, in a cute stand that is pretty hidden. Though they didn't have a large variety they had 6 different flavor options! Enough for you to find at least one flavor you like. All of them were beautifully decorated. And they put them in cute decorate boxes. Mochinuts, in my opinion is fantastic, even better than regular donuts. The texture of the donuts was dense yet light. They were chewy with a crunchy exterior and soft interior The dough itself wasn't too sweet and had a mild rice-like flavor. The glaze also was flavorful and not too sweet. For instance I appreciated being able to taste the cinnamon and caramel in the cinnamon caramel sugar flavor without it being overly sweet. I tried the red velvet, fruity pebbles, hazelnut, cinnamon roll and caramel churro flavors. I enjoyed the caramel churro and the hazelnut the most, but those are my favorite flavors in general. I can't wait to try them again!

TikTok to real life. This chain caught my eye on TikTok, for the Las Vegas location. What I didn't realize when I set out for a 40 minute drive to check it out, was this is a smaller version of that chain, in a food court setting. What is missing from the menu is the corn dog options and the Boba options. The mochi donuts are amazing. We got a half dozen. Flavors we recommend; original, strawberry, and churro. Skipable flavors; cinnamon toast crunch, raspberry funnel cake, and hazelnut. They have an amazing chewy texture, very dense, and all the glazes were spot on delicious. Flavor recommendations are simply based on our tastebuds. Workers were extremely friendly, fast service, and they understood our disappointment at the smaller menu and did not downplay our disappointment. Highly recommend this when you visit this market. It's a great conversation piece. The doughnuts break apart into smaller hole pieces. I will definitely look forward to bringing other people to this location for this tasty treat.

Overall, a great spot for a sweet treat at The Works! We tried the apple cider donut and a donut with powdered sugar and a black cherry drizzle. Both were tasty with a wonderfully chewy texture. I loved the powdered one! However, I didn't like the apple cider donut. The glaze was extremely sticky and had a weird gelatinous gummy-like texture. The flavor was overwhelmingly artificial- it reminded me of green apple flavored candy but not in a good way. However, all of their other donut's I've tried have been better! So, I would still highly recommend giving Mochinut a try!

Interesting sweet stuff. I'm glad I had the opportunity to try. I would not go out of my way to enjoy another. Best when warm.

I've seen this chain pop up in just about every metro city, so just had to try it for once and for all. When I visited this place (in the Chattahoochee Food Works), I was in for a big disappointment...in that the selection wasn't optimal. They carried about 6-8-flavors, but not in any of my choice flavors...Matcha Green Tea or the Black Sesame! Turns out that they change their menu of donut selections every 3 days, and you can check it on their Facebook or Instagram pages. Guess I should have researched that first before rushing over here. For some reason, I thought this chain carried many more flavors (at all times)...with an array of toppings even. I was sadly mistaken. I had to resort to Blueberry Yogurt, Strawberry Truffle and Ube Pebbles. Luckily, despite not being my choice 2 flavors, these random flavors were thoroughly delicious! If I had to pick my fave from the 3, it was probably the Strawberry Truffle. I tried to eat only half of each donut (since the donuts were probably 400-500 calories each!), but it was near impossible. SO GOOD!!! I can't wait for this chain to finally make its way to Charlotte! Hopefully I can then try my fave flavors, along with other flavors. Yes, I want to try them ALL now. As amazing as these donuts were, I was SO disappointed with the missing flavors (and toppings!), I have to dock a star.

Omg yum! Korean corn dogs AND mocha donuts?! Say no more! We got the hot Cheetos Korean corn dogs and a couple different donuts. This was a great place! They made everything fresh and you could watch them make everything.

Matcha and Ube Mochinuts were delicious!!!

This location is inside of the Chattahoochee Food Works. Chris and I stopped here after enjoying dinner at an adjacent food stall reviewed separately. Because this location is in a small kiosk type environment, the selection is smaller than the other Mochinut locations. The Mochinut donuts are made with a unique rice flour that gives them a distinct flavor and texture. This rice flour creates the base donuts which are then utilized to create various flavors with the addition of frosting and toppings. Chris and I love these donuts! The rice flour gives them a unique malt/toast flavor that pairs well with the various frostings and toppings. I could eat a dozen of them on my own. Individual donuts are on the small side when compared to a traditional size donut. Each Mochinut is approximately 3.5 ounces. Herein lies one of my criticisms- they cost $3.75 each. Purchasing one or two dozen to take to the office gets expensive quickly. I realize that the cost to operate in this food hall commands an expensive price premium and that food costs have increased, however I do question how long this place will survive at these prices. Purchasing four donuts and two beverages plus a tip makes this an expensive snack. My other issues were the sheer volume of plastic used to serve the donuts and beverages. Nothing was compostable or sustainable. The donuts are served in plastic containers. At the time of ordering, I asked if they could serve our donuts in napkins. The server explained that they don't have any napkins- like none at all.... I was surprised that a food establishment doesn't offer napkins to patrons. Chris and I ended up asking for napkins from the adjacent Mexican kiosk. This food hall doesn't recycle. I asked the staff in multiple kiosks as well as some of the cleaning staff. Every trash can was overflowing with plastic containers, cups and utensils Totally unacceptable in this day and age. The counter service was friendly and efficient and we LOVED all of our Mochinuts! Overall, Chris and I will be back to this location and we recommend it BUT we will be bringing our own reusable containers to help combat the sheer volume of plastic trash that this food hall generates. Hopefully the property management will one day mandate that all businesses utilize compostable containers.

    Strawberry and cookies and cream

Really cute donuts! I got the strawberry, cookies and cream, and original. My favorite was the original. The icing was a bit too thick for me and I prefer less sweet desserts but overall it was cute and I enjoyed it! Would recommend as a novelty speciality dessert for a special occasion but I probably wouldn't get these on a regular basis. I got these when I was at JapanFest but I don't think I'd go out of my way to get another!

This location is in the Summerville area which is heavily changing. There's a new Publix across the street and many new things withing walking distance. They have an outdoor patio behind Pete's Hotdogs but also some cozy inside seating if you like the old hamburger shop with countertop service. Their burgers are worth noting as well as their breakfast sandwiches. They add a bit of their own flare with a pepper jam on their breakfast sandwiches, which if you're into putting jam on your breakfast biscuits, that might interest you a bit. I'm not big into that, and I still enjoy it. The burgers and chicken sandwiches are also using fresh buns with fresh ingredients which you can't really find a lot of places in the city making their own buns. Most will use Martins, which i'm not complaining about those, but to find a fresh made bun hamburger in these times is amazing. As I'm finishing up this review, I'm reminding myself I need to go here more often.

The sesame seed bun seems to be made from scratch, and is crusty on the outside and chewy and fluffy on the inside. The pork sausage patty is moist, tasty, and juicy without falling apart, and very well seasoned. The egg was fried to perfection, and although there was a bit of runny yolk, it was not so much that it soaked the bun or made the sandwich needlessly messy. The sweet and tangy Hero Pepper Jelly is the perfect foil to the fried egg, cheese, and sausage, and for lovers of all things sweet and salty (such as myself), it amplifies the flavors of this sandwich to the next level.
