They have absolutely horrible customs service. The one in Des Moines would give a call the day before your appointment every time. Never missed a confirmation call at all. Then switching to the one at Ankeny they never would call the day before. So I would try and check my calendar and call to make sure we were still good to go. Then one day I didn't catch my calendar the day before and call and I missed the appointment. So I called and apologize and let them know that I was sorry I missed the appointment and they said we called you the day before and confirmed and I advised them I had no reminder call. I informed them that I take half credit for missing the appointment but I'm used to getting the reminder call cause they do it at the other location regularly. So I feel like they should be half responsible. She said that it is a curtesy that they call anyway and that if I miss the appointment that's on me. So she said if I wanted to rebook I had to repay the full booking fee! So I asked for the owner I. So the owner called me and was rude and said that they would credit the booking fee but one of my three cats would no longer be able to come and get groomed because she was an issue. This after bring up that the Ankeny location was having tons of issues. I guess they are short staffed and can't handle the business they are getting so I said I would be taking my cats somewhere else and the own was ok that fine and hung up the phone. I am traveling with my new kitten and she got diarrhea and I had to take her to the ER. She is fine now but I wanted to get her a bath before driving back to Iowa city. The kind woman on the phone said they do not take kittens but would be happy to help if Alicia the groomer consented. She did, so I brought my kitten mango in. Not only were they so gentle and kind, they made sure to get to know mango and my's backstories. I even heard the groomer make it a point to meet the parents of other dogs she has just groomed to ensure she was 100% happy. I was nervous mango wouldn't like it, but she was so calm and sweet with them. I expected to pay about $20.... but nope! FREE OF CHARGE because all they wanted was for mango to get home okay. They shaved my golden retriever, we asked for his normal cut and they shaved him bare in some spots. They called us and said "we cut it too short in some spots" but it was an utter hack job. They then lied and doubled down and said we asked for him to be shaved, this is a lie because I know cutting a goldens hair too short can lead to permanent damage. They must not know that. They offered no apology, no refund, nothing. They should not be in business.
