Jeffy (RIP) getting a Mohawk from Auntie Bri !

Bri and her team are the only ones I trust in the Des Moines metro with my fur kids. She treats them like family and has always taken good care of my pups. My first poodle Jeffy would get cool colors and Mohawks, he was always happy to see her! When he passed away she was very sad too. Then I got my new poodle friend Emily and she has been taking such good care of her!

They did such an amazing job, my sweet boy smells so good, is so soft, and looks extra handsome in his holiday tie!! It was his first time at the groomer so he was nervous, but they made me feel so comfortable dropping him off. I cant wait to take him again!

The staff was very helpful and understanding with all my concerns! My baby girl left looking so cute and happy!

Bri and her team always do a great job with my puppy! I am not from the Des Moines area originally and tried a few other groomers that did not do a good job with a Goldendoodle puppy. I found Bri through a recommendation, and I am so grateful! Willie loves going and always come back looking fantastic! Bri even took time to show us how to brush him out properly and which tools to use. We love Clipper-Doodle-Do! :)

I would definitely not recommend Clipper Doodle Do in Urbandale. I took my two boxers there for their first grooming and they sent one of my dogs home with a broken tooth with no explanation on how it happened. There was no empathy or even an apology that it happened in their care. I called Saturday morning and they were able to get the dogs in that afternoon. We went over pricing and was told one dog would be cheaper than the other as they go by weight. One weighs 100 lbs, the other weighs 73. I told them I would check with my wife if their time worked and would call them back. It had been 15 minutes and I hadn't heard from her so I called clipper doodle do not wanting to leave them hanging and let them know I am still waiting to hear back and should be soon, they said no problem. 10 minutes later I called back and confirmed the services and time. I told them I couldn't find their vaccination papers and they were ok with it because they don't get inspected on Saturday's. When I got there they changed the pricing and said both dogs would cost 120 a piece and that they prorated the cost apparently. Whatever, I went with it and didn't say anything. After 2 and a half hours the dogs were done. When I walked into the shop to pick them up one of the employees said "I have something to show you" and came smiling showing me a tooth they found. I asked how it happened and they said they don't know, said they saw a tooth on the floor, checked all dogs and found it was my dog Charlie. Obviously not happy I said "well that's not a good experience". They didn't like that. I checked my dogs tooth and his front canine was broken down to the pulp. I didn't know what to say at that point so not much was said at all. I asked again to confirm why the price was the same for both if one weighed 30 lbs less than the other, and said my dogs weighed more than I said, which wasn't true. Whatever again, I was upset and didn't argue so I paid for the groomings and left with out saying anything else to them. There was very little communication so at no point was I rude other than looking upset which should be understandable. I took Charlie to the vet Monday and was given a 992 dollar vet bill because the tooth needs extracted. I called clipper doodle do and left a message to speak to the owner. She texted me back instead. She accused me of being rude and irrational. Of course any dog owner would be upset walking into that, but I kept my composure and handled it very well as I was still shocked it even happened. Below are her texts and how she decided to handle the situation. Now she is claiming he broke it on the kennel and i should have given them a heads up Charlie doesn't do well in them... also that it was "probably" already loose. He is 3 years old, has always been fine in a kennel and grew up in one so it's nothing I'd ever expect to have happened. She says she has video proof I was rude to her and her staff so I would encourage her to post it as it's not true. She is very unprofessional and not how an honest person/business owner should react if a dog is harmed while in their care. Instead she lashes out and finds excuses to deflect from herself. She clearly packed her shop full that day and wasn't sufficiently staffed or able to tend to all the dogs she had.

After our golden sheepadoodle's first grooming where the groomer completely skinned him and cut the tip of his tail, causing months of healing, cone wearing, vet visits, infection, countless blood splatter clean up, bandaging, and partial amputation; I was terrified to take him to another groomer. Being a 70 pound dog and the breed that he is, we desperately needed to find a groomer. This time I did my homework, searching the Doodle Lovers of Iowa page and seeing that Bri had a rare quick opening (scheduled on Wednesday for Saturday) I jumped on the opportunity and I am so glad that I did, we certainly found our FOREVER groomer! I was simply amazed at her work. Our pup feels like a real life teddy bear, while still looking like a doodle! I keep asking my husband, HOW DID SHE DO THAT?! Her work is magical!! Better yet, she is the instructor of DMACC's new pet grooming certification program at the Southridge campus! I am so happy that she is sharing her skills and knowledge with others!

Have had good success in the past. Trying to make appointment for a cut and groom for my dog. Wife has called and left messages to make appointment, no response. I decided to just drop by, no one would answer the door. People and pets clearly in shop (could hear them) rang 3xs after 10 mins left. Not the best way to run a business. read more

Bri and her team always do a great job with my puppy! I am not from the Des Moines area originally and tried a few other groomers that did not do a good job with a Goldendoodle puppy. I found Bri through a recommendation, and I am so grateful! Willie loves going and always come back looking fantastic! Seriously love this place!! I am going once a month from now on ! Today I dropped my golden retriever off and when I picked her up she looked so cute! They give your little pup a cute souvenir to go home with!! And she had so much fun when she was done getting groomed she got puppy time with her friends! Was extremely overpriced! All I wanted done was my dogs hair shaved short because it's hot outside and his tangled to be gone and when we went back to pick him up she shaved his face short and left everything else long, she also failed to get the tangled out and she shaved his butt in short patches. We will not be taking our dogs there anymore, due to the high pricing for the lack of work. read more

Honestly worst grooming experience Ive ever had with my dog benny. I dont review much but after my pup coming home limping and acting weird I dont know entirely what happened but will never return. The cut was horrible and when I asked the groomer what happened she was extremely rude and tried to shove it off. anyway beware. read more

DO NOT TAKE YOUR FURBABY TO HER IF YOU LOVE THEM!! *** LOOK ON GOOGLE TO SEE PICTURES OF MY BABY AFTER CLIPPER DOODLE DOO HAD HER*** First of all... Animal ABUSE! Only if i could give her a negative rating. I decided to try and support my local area businesses but that was the biggest mistake ever. When I picked up my 7lbs baby, I was holding her and she was acting weird, the way she was clinging to me I could tell she didn't like the pet salon. In which I said out loud right in front of Bri THREE TIMES, "Awww whats wrong you didn't like it here?!?!" And all three times Bri CHANGED the subject. My baby wanted down so I put her down and then she kept rubbing her nose with her paws and the floor.. I stood there and literally was watching her behavior and said to Bri, "She's acting weird... What is she doing??? She never acts like this..." AGAIN, Bri changes the subject and wouldn't stop talking about her next day Vegas trip. After I left, we came home and my baby laid on the floor like she was depressed... Im pretty in tune with my baby and I know when something is wrong. She kept rubbing her face again.. So I thought maybe she didn't like the shampoo that was used so I washed her face. And BTW the shampoo smelled like cheap strawberry scratch and sniff sticker and thats a nice way to say it. Also my baby has not stop scratching herself since!! Dont waste your money on Clipper doodle doo.. After washing my babys face we stepped out on the patio and the sun was glistening on her face, which is when I saw a HUGE cut on her nose where she was trying to tell me. I went back to look at the rag I used to wash her face and Bri tried to cover it up with makeup or something!!! I COULD NOT BELIEVE MY EYES!!! I felt sooo bad for my baby as she was depressed after that for a week and didn't want to go to anyone or played like she used to. After I texted Bri, she DENIED everything!!! But then 2 seconds later sent me a link for rash/ burn ointment. She had it on hand you all. She must do this a lot!! So I first tried to be nice but when she took NO ownership of it and told me how she "never even used clippers" I then asked her if she didnt know how to use sheers then because this did not just come from no where! Bri then went on about how she could SHOW me a clip of the camera where she was singing (sure she was) and how matted my baby was... In which I brushed my baby the night b4 to make the groomers job easier and yet she still shaved her to the skin when i asked for a trim!! When I said it was short at pick up, Bri said... "Oh its hot and its summer.." like seriously?!?! I gave her my email to send me this lovely clip but still have not received it.. Wheres the clip Bri? I want to see you singing and playing with my baby as you claim. Deny deny deny.. All she did... Then had the nerves to say that I sounded hostel... I then told her how its sad because all I wanted was some ownership but all she did was argue with me. She is VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!! She is NOT WORTH $75. Bri was very helpful with proving information & setting up the appointment in response to a FB advertisement. She emailed a client sheet & a request for proof of vaccinations the night prior to our appointment. As a new client- upon arrival she asked lots of questions regarding my pets prior grooming experiences, if there were any concerns to be addressed, and if there were any areas the pet was sensitive to/didn't like being groomed. She provided a detailed overview of what the grooming process would be & an approximate timeframe to complete the service. She sent a text 20 minutes before the session was completed & called one my pet was available for pickup. At pick up she went over the services provided, requested a follow up appointment & when I explained my pet's grooming preferences she recommended I follow her page on FB & look for quarterly specials. The services were very fairly priced (shampoo, conditioner, de-shedding, blow dry, eat clean, nail trim & teeth brushed - with hypoallergenic products). The store is conveniently located & very clean. I look forward to bringing my pet to her in the future! read more

Hands down a great experience from start to finish! Bri is very professional with vast knowledge and experience to ensure you and your pet are in great hands receiving exceptional service. She has been in the business for many years and has a great group of groomers working along side her. My little Marli Jo loves getting pampered and always leaves looking and smelling amazing. I have witnessed nothing but top notch service tailored to each individual client executed with skill and patience. They have always treated all dogs that visit their salon like their own and I would never hesitate referring anyone there. Be sure to call well in advance to get your pooches in. They have a list of regular clientele that keeps their calendar full. I promise, they are worth the wait. I would not trust my girls with anyone else and will gladly wait for their availability! My Tucker went to see Anna today. I was very concerned because he had never been to a groomer. He not yet a year old and I just didn't know how he would react. Anna was great in letting me know that she would do as much as Tucker would allow. I was intending on picking him up and only him having a Feet, Face, and Fanny groom. To my absolute surprise, he was fully groomed and looked amazing! I'm am 1000% satisfied! Tucker loved her and he honestly didn't want to leave the salon! lol She let me know he did great and I'm so glad. Tucker has found a new friend and we will now be a regular customer!!!! This was the first time I met Clipper Doodle. I adopted a very over grown dog and needed a grooming very fast. I contacted Brie (the owner) and she squeezed him in. Brie is an extremely accommodating owner and a genuine dog lover. She did a great job on my newly acquired dog and I would highly recommend her.
