I also noticed that they drop prices so if you're willing to take a risk and wait, keep checking. Restocked regularly. I came two weeks apart and saw a whole bunch of new interesting merchandise. For my fellow parents with small children: The other shop is large and has shopping carts where you can place your kids. This one does not as it's smaller and in a house. However, we were able to navigate just fine with my toddler inside a small umbrella stroller. I wore my baby in a carrier. The staff is very nice.

There's also a decent selection of furniture that's in nice shape along with plenty of wall hangings. However, the store itself is only about 5000 ft.² or about the size of a large convenient store. They have three dressing rooms but no public bathroom. Much of the merchandise such as books are in line with Goodwill pricing, but some items are higher. Virtually all the pants, dress shirts and jeans sell for six dollars each. However, the store is only open 5 to 6 hours a day Tues-Sat.

There are some things the store does very well, and some areas that are clearly struggling. First, the space is much larger than the previous location. There is plenty of room for merchandise, and they seem to have many kind volunteers working there. The furniture and home goods section is organized fairly well. However, the shelves are extremely packed with merchandise, which may be related to the pricing. Many items feel overpriced for a community thrift store, which likely slows down how quickly things move off the shelves. The layout is also a bit confusing. It almost feels like two completely separate stores. Furniture and home goods are on one side, while clothing is in a different area. What makes it more unusual is that you cannot pay for clothing on the home goods side, or home goods on the clothing side. You also have to go outside to enter each section. It seems like this setup requires twice as many volunteers and makes the shopping experience less convenient. The pricing on the clothing side is actually very good, but the organization is quite poor. I found high-end men's shirts, such as Brooks Brothers, mixed in with women's clothing. There were several other similar examples of items being misplaced, which made browsing more difficult. I have visited multiple times before writing this review because I hoped that, after the expansion, the shopping experience would improve. That in itself told me that one hand knows what the other is doing, and it's obviously really organized. Second, when we went in the thrift store side, it smelled clean. On that side, they were super nice too, and my eBay purchase pick up was super smooth. Purchases that you make their go toward providing food for people who need services from the food pantry. The owner, Kris (might be wrong spelling), is really sweet and made my mom and I feel so welcome. She sells cute and trendy clothes at much better prices than places right on the square. If you're looking to buy home improvement or furniture, I guess they're OK…read more If you're looking to donate, they're difficult. Donations are accepted one day a week on Saturday for 6 hours. I had some items that were low value (about $30) but more likely to sell at Habitat than elsewhere. They couldn't stop leaf blowing long enough to avoid creating a dust storm around me while I was attempting donate, but I didn't complain. Apparently it's also a hassle for them as a 503(c) to generate a blank donation receipt, so instead they chose to mock me by suggesting a value of $69,000 for the receipt. I shot back that they were more valuable than the president's underwear. They took umbrage to that. Gaslighting at it's finest. Rule #1 in charity is to respect all donors great or small. The small donor you belittle today won't be back to donate or buy bigger things tomorrow. And don't confuse this location with the more respectable and accessible Habitat for Humanity Austin. They are two different organizations.
