Wasn't my first time going to Scape Goat and won't be my last. We came for a master class on daiquiris and we learned so much! Beyond that, the atmosphere was amazing and the drinks were beyond. Can't wait to come back and get the full experience.

Dark, moody speakeasy in South Beach with a really fun menu of classic and contemporary cocktails. We loved all three drinks we ordered. One thing to note: it's very loud (hard to talk) which kind of takes away from the speakeasy feel. That said, the world-famous espresso martini absolutely lives up to the hype and is a must-try. The bourbon drinks were also a delight! Friendly staff!

A really great spot to get a drink or three if you're in the area. Actually, even if you're not in the area, you should go by. We stopped by here for a pre-dinner drink, and I was able to try a couple happy hour drinks since their happy houris is offered daily from 5-8 PM. And again from 1-3 AM. That tells you that not only is it a good spot for the earlier evening, but it will be there for you for that late evening. They have a handful of classic cocktails on their happy hour menu for $10 each. I tried a daiquiri and honestly think it may be one of the best ones that I've had. This is coming from someone who actually learned how to make a classic daiquiri during the pandemic. If I can't make as good as this one myself, I might as well get it here. The daiquiri was fresh and flavorful without being overly sweetened. I was also able to get an old-fashioned before we had to leave. It is carefully and solidly made, despite the use of a well bourbon. The use of a clear ice cube always commands my respect. The whole place is quite small, with four or five hightop tables surrounding the bar. We ducked in after dinner and found it was pretty packed, mainly because it doesn't take a lot of people to get it full. You will get a mix of visitors from out of town and some locals, but the local feel is definitely there. The finished wood decor and soft lighting, along with an ever-changing playlist of different genres (maybe chill beats earlier, hip hop later in the night) make for a comfortable place to get a drink, no matter what kind of night you want to have. Kenny the bar manager is well-versed in his cocktails and was pleasant to chat with as he served up our drinks. If you go by, and I hope you do, say hi to him for me!

Scape Goat is an awesome little cocktail bar found down in the South Pointe area. And when I say little I mean tiny but in a great way. We stopped in after a great meal at Joe's Stone Crab for a few drinks at night. Scape Goat is small enough they can handle everything with just two people, and they did a great job. Kenny was a fantastic bartender and the bar-back was great as well. Not as much of a clubby vibe as a few places we stopped in around Miami Beach, more of a classy/relaxed vibe. We had the Black Magic and Hemingway Daiquiri's first and they were good, but next we had the French Martini and Sazerac that were absolutely perfect. I think we could have watched Kenny make drinks all night. Great spot, convenient to a few top tier restaurants such as Joe's and Carbone. Definitely worth a stop at The Scape Goat.

My group and I wanted to check out Story but decided not to when we heard how much cover was for an artist no one was that into. We decided to go get a nightcap at Scape Goat. It's a cute bar with lively music and it was also HH when we arrived around 1AM. We all ordered the French Martini for $10/each. Wow, the drink was decent with fruity flavors coming from the pineapple and raspberry. There was also enough alcohol in there for a good buzz! I highly recommend Scape Goat to pregame. It was fun and I wish we were going somewhere after!

Cattycorner to Carbone, this cozy cocktail bar was recommended by our captain for a perfect after dinner nightcap. The spot is dimly lit and the soundtrack is varied, loud and perfect to keep the party going. They have seating at the main bar, a couple of couches as well as hightops which is where we sat to celebrate a birthday. The menu has "fancy shots", classics as well as sweeter dessert drinks. We started with the Snaquiri (essentially a mini mojito) for me and Cecilia enjoyed her Tazita (espresso martini). Since it was her birthday, these smoothly blended and strong shots were comped. Our main courses., as it were, were the "Tuxedo" for birthday girl and the "Tia Maria" for me. My Tia Maria was a great blend of aged rum and curaçao and the mezcal gave it the right amount of sweet. Although I'm not a gin fan, the tuxedo I sampled definitely had a bite. I wonder if the absinthe led to some "interesting" conversations :)

Ariete is one of my favs so I was excited that my buddy suggested we check out Scape Goat from the same group. We took some citi bikes from his place so when we got there we were a little warm. I was looking forward to cooling off with a beverage. They had the open aire thing going which is fine, but there was only two fans I saw and they were pointed at the ceiling. There was no air moving and it was so hot. We pushed through and got some cocktails. My buddy was excited to show off their cocktail prowess, but since it was cinco de mayo, they were on a limited menu. I got a mezcal old fashioned and was reminded very quickly how smokey mezcal is. To be honest, neither of us loved our drinks so we closed out and moved on to another spot. I would gladly come back to give it another go, but this time wasn't it for us.

Had a really great experience at the Scapegoat. Last week, I flew in from NY to Miami Beach for my birthday and wanted to try a speakeasy/cocktail bar before dinner. Scapegoat wasn't too far from my hotel, and as soon as I arrived, I was greeted by David, one of the main bartenders there. He immediately made me feel like a regular as I ordered the Paloma happy hour cocktail which was good. But then, I asked if he'd make a caipirinha next which wasn't on the menu, and honestly was one of the best I've had. Highly recommend this bar, and please look out for David upon arrival. Very professional and welcoming at the same time. You won't regret it. Will most certainly come back here on my next trip. read more

Wandered in this place on a Saturday because it was a block away from the club, but i was pleasantly surprised!! Got awesome 80s music and a list of drinks that goes to charity!! (25% goes to educate tomorrow) I got me a $10 Moscow that was pretty good! Loved that it came in a copper cup, not every bar does that nowadays. 5 stars hands down read more

What an amazing experience! The bartenders are friendly and wonderful mixologist. All I had to do was say what I like and they mixed something exactly how I wanted it. The spot is small and intimate which is perfect for a date or small group outing. The music was good and there is a tv in case you want to keep up with a sports score. Went after dinner and so glad this came up in our Google search. Small, quaint, dark spot with great music choices. Got the last 2 seats at the bar. Used to be the room, this place is awesome! It's dark and has a slight grime that the beach needs more of. Bartenders are fun and friendly and the guests are generally the same. Have a "mixology" cocktail or sit back and enjoy a shot and a beer! This is a great Miami Beach bar to belly up at. read more

They only stock American liquor and beer, which doesn't stop them from making excellent drinks. Talented bartenders - their house drinks are great, and they nailed a recipe I described to the hostess without any measurements. The bar is well-lit and the crowd was laid-back. Stopped into this place for a drink...big mistake. It' the Size of my master closet. Everybody in there was a waiter or busboy from the restaurants in the area, it smelled like fried shrimp. The place fits 12 people, again all drunk smelly waiters getting hammered. Not a place to meet kool people. All the positive reviews must be paid Hypers. read more

Awesome, swanky little spot in south beach and the people here make it better. Met the owner at a different bar and came out to see his spot and it was so worth it. Easily the favorite bar of the night. The drinks were tasty and the vibes were perfect. You'd think you walked into a speakeasy with the atmosphere here. The Scape Goat is a tiny bar specializing in cocktails that have some love in them. The flavors are clearly well thought through and never made in haste. I enjoyed a thyme and rye concoction that provided just enough that was intriguing to the palate but didn't take away from the distiller's presence. Here is where an evening should feel slow to appreciate the craft and get to know your neighbor. The small atmosphere creates and cozy but at times crowded space. Bartenders are easy to chat with and they definitely take their skill seriously. In a location surrounded by others that serve flashing fish bowls of alcoholic sugar water the Scape Goat is a beacon and worth a visit. I was a stranger in a strange land that night but thanks for making me feel briefly like a local! read more

Usually love it here. Vickie is awesome and cocktails spot on. Had a weird experience last time I was there. The bartender was not on top of things. He might've had a few drinks too many while serving. Then, we were the last ones left in the bar practically, but it wasn't closing time. And they started cleaning with bleach. I'm allergic to bleach, but that's beside the point. Being in a hurry to close might deter regulars like me from returning. I hope this isn't a regular occurrence because I was really a fan before this experience. read more

This is actually one of my favorite bars ive ever been to in my life. Planned on getting a drink or two and ending up staying the whole night. The music was absolutely fire and the service was great. What an amazing addition to South of Fifth. The drinks are incredible and the staff is amazing! Having Yan, Gardenia, Kenny and Sue in the neighborhood has sealed the deal as my number 1 happy hour spot. There's so much to say about the Scape Goat (the Goat)....the design and layout is beautiful pulling in a bit of old world charm with snaps of deep, rich luxurious emerald velvet mixed with solid hardwood slabs for bar height tables. As for drinks, the Goat offers a mix of American based booze and beer. Drinks are well made with solid pours. The staff's knowledge of mixology offers its own gift within American spirits--the team is fantastic and energetic. I definitely recommend a visit to wet your booze palette for your journey of making the Goat your local haunt. read more

A great cocktail bar, tucked away from the more frequently visited tourist areas. If you are staying along the beach and want a quiet place to have some quality cocktails, the walk is well worth it. All cocktails are made with American liquors, which makes for an interesting take on drinks like the Negroni (they call it a Negroni-ish).! read more

i usually will go here for drink this place itsboretty new to my the bar tender with the long hair pretty nasty guy not the short guy the other guy. Had a crazy hair on my old fashioned pulled it out and he gave me attitude and still charged my mate for the nasty drink he made. will never to back to this place... what a nasty person if you don't want to work go home and scratch your ugly head. A hidden gem and an unexpected surprise in my visit to South Beach. This is class. A small, intimate, beautifully designed cocktail bar. The menu was simple and perfect. The drinks were delicious, the ambiance was elegant and the service goes above and beyond.
