This was a last minute decision and I'm glad we did it! The sailboat was large and reasonably comfortable. We had a lovely date for sailing and the crew was really personable. 2 hours did seem a little much as there's no narration and we saw little to no wildlife (just a pelican which was pretty dang cool). I understand that seeing dolphins and such is never a guarantee so we were a little sad but overall enjoyed the experience.

Captain Dan was great, the crew was awesome, and overall had the best time. It was my favorite experience in Charleston and would definitely do it again and recommend to anyone.

When I was researching all the things to do in Charleston- this one stood out. I don't think I realized how much I wanted to go sailing! I've never been sailing on a sailboat (I have toured sailboats in port) and I honestly think this was a bucket list item I didn't even know was on the list! Because this tour was that good! Easy to find- right next to the aquarium, easy boarding. They have drinks available for purchase and try to grab those orders right away as we are leaving the dock. We motored out passed the bridge and they opened the sails up and let them fill with wind. It was a perfect night for it- the wind didn't really die down at all, which apparently can happen. You could tell the crew were passionate about being out on the water and were excited at what a beautiful evening it was. The sunset was a little lost behind some clouds- but I managed to grab some photo's before it slipped away and the pink clouds around us after were stunning. We saw dolphins a couple times and the 2nd time they were right next to the ship! I was just so content tonight and that's a rarity lately. It was a perfect birthday gift and I am so happy I got to go!!! I would do it again in a heartbeat! Highly Recommend!

This is such a hidden surprise! After years of visiting Charleston we were looking for something different. This was such a fun way to enjoy the Harbor. The dock is a little out of the way but we took a bike taxi to help save some time. So worth it! Our captain Sarah and her crew were friendly and knowledgeable. It was a great afternoon on the water.

I planned a weekend getaway for Mother's day and the sunset sail was the kick off of our Friday night. We had such a wonderful experience! We dressed for the heat of Charleston but brought jackets due to their recommendations of the chill on the water. It is not a "guided" tour but all of the crew are willing to answer any questions. The sheer beauty and atmosphere was enough to keep us constantly smiling! Aside from the views, a wonderful gentleman brought a cooler of small tapas that he shared with his date and then the rest of the guests around him! Such a great idea that we will remember for next time! TOTALLY WORTH IT!

We enjoyed a July sunset cruise around the Cooper River on the Schooner Pride. The crew, weather, and views were all fantastic. I appreciated the selection of local beers to purchase. I did feel that the sail was incredibly crowded; I would personally would have preferred something more intimate. (That's my issue, not the fault of the crew.) We were able to find a spot to sit, but quite a few guests had to stand (or sit on the deck) during the sail. There weren't any cushions or anything, so I'd bring a stadium cushion next time to sit on. I enjoyed the sail and would go on Schooner Pride again.

It had been more than five years, but last week I took the tour with my three kids and it was just as amazing as ever! We were on a week long vacation and literally added a night in Charleston just for the Ecotour. Both our boat captain and the gentleman driving were incredibly knowledgeable and very approachable. Just good people. They taught us about the ecosystem and various animals that inhabit it. We pulled crab traps and got to handle wildlife as we learned about it. You get time to walk the Boneyard on Capers Island and it is an experience like no other. It is the most pristine beach I have ever seen. Before we boarded our boat to go back to the marina, our captain took time to show my middle kid how to throw a casting net. Very cool people. Perfect mix of education and fun! If you don't do anything else on Isle of Palms - do this!!

We came for the 4th of July Holiday Cruise, so I'm not sure if it's always like this but there are many docks with many different cruiselines and it's very confusing. We almost missed our boat even after being there early. The food was average and there were different options apparently on the 1st and 2nd floor, with no desert being on the 2nd floor where we were so we didn't get any. It wasn't very organized and not good signage. The staff was nice, boat ride was easy going, perfect for firework show and loved being so close to it. Highly recommend it if you want to be on the water for the show, the cruise was spot on with timing from start to finish which was awesome.

My family just finished two, 5-day, back-to-back cruises!…read more First, I highly recommend doing back-to-back cruises! They make it so easy! You stay on the ship and either stay in your cabin or move cabins. We changed cabins and the change was easy! We packed up our belonging and left them in the room. While we were enjoying brunch, they moved all of our things into the new room. We never got off the ship to see/explore Nassau, Princess Cays, or Half Moon Cay! We LOVED staying on the ship during those days!!! The ship is quiet and you have the place to your self! Note: everyone that did get off loved the beach!!! The food is AMAZING! Guy's Burger Bar exceeded all expectations! Done right is exactly what you get every time! Unlimited Soft Serve Ice Cream is glorious! So refreshing!!!! The restaurants are all beyond AMAZING! You get to customize every meal! And, the Marketplace offers several buffets offering sweets, entrees, and salad areas! Everything is just perfect! The pizza area is glorious (we loved the 4-cheese pizza). The custom sandwich bar is great for making a hot or cold sandwich! The staff is perfection! Joel (sounds like Noel with a J - should be a Team Lead Supervisor for his every attention to detail), Efenfi, and Suraj made every meal perfection! I do not have the words to properly describe their excellence! James Love (Cruise Director) is beyond AMAZING! If James is hosting an event, ATTEND! The comedy on the Ship is worth it! You will laugh so hard you may cry tears of joy, find yourself clapping because you are laughing so hard, and sometimes you will laugh so hard no sound will come out as you loose your breath! Just FUNNY! ! Lastly, the music on the ship is TOP NOTCH! May Bell (duo so good you feel like they should be on a big stage), Marc (a solo act that will make you melt), and a duo that will blow you away! Phew....ONLY POSITIVE VIBES! Most Sincerely, Dayla

I feel like at the time there was a lot of unnecessary walking to keep crowd control down with the lines. Luckily one of the attendants allowed me to cut a line when they saw me struggling. I was grateful to finally get on the ship. Seeing the ship move for the first time is an amazing thing. The ship has a lot to offer. From bars, restaurants, shopping, shows and other activities. I did not go to a specialty restaurant or the sail away party. I will fix that next go round. Nor did I take advantage of getting off the ship. I just wanted to be able to do what I wanted to do which wasn't much. The one thing I really liked was the attentiveness and kindness of the room attendant. He was pretty thorough to have so many rooms to service. The food could stand to be revised. I ate in the dining room most days. I think I preferred breakfast over the other meals. The Buffett was a NO. Big disappointment. I thought there would be more variety and food that had some taste. I know it's hards to feed so many but I just wish it was a little better. I had no problems with the cleanliness of the ship. It is an older ship so some things are not super modern. I will be sailing again in 2024. This is the last year the Sunshine will be in Charleston. They are moving to Norfolk I believe so it's doubtful I will ever be on this ship again.
