And I thought I would have to give up on my desire to pop back in to The Ruck for a pint. On the way back to my hotel, I decided to just check to see what Dave and crew had on tap. Egads! Seriously folks, this bar is an embarrassment of riches. I only wanted to have one beer, but I left with three. Two I enjoyed on site, Hill Farmstead's Susan and the brewery's Society and Solitude #13. These are heavy hitters, and even just two five ounce pours put me in a place where I felt it would be imprudent to have a third. Fortunately for me, the crowler machine was fully functional, and I was able to grab an oil can of Weldwerks Xtra Xtra Broccolli to go. Beer names are stupid, but they will not dissuade me from drinking something delicious. Sadly, Dave wasn't there, so I didn't get to say hi, or shake his hand, or thank him for his hard work of managing such an epic tap list. Regrettably I rolled in late in the evening and the kitchen had already closed. No wings for me. Not even one of their special deviled eggs... which sounded delicious, btw. The bun had caraway seeds and coarse salt all over the top of it which complimented the beef deliciously. It also had a horseradish sauce on the sandwich, so good.
