    12. Beef Tikka & Chicken Kofta
    Raeesa W.

I've been craving kebabs for a few days now and today, on a rainy and dreary Fall afternoon I decided to order from Aria Kabab and have my meal delivered. Best Decision!! I ordered the Beef Tikka and Chicken Kofta combo. It usually is served with salad and rice but I skipped the salad and just requested extra rice...cuz you know Rice is LIFE. All my cravings were satisfied with this meal and #winning I have enough for dinner. I got all the sauce option available and strongly encourage you do as well. The rice was fluffy and yummy and the meats were perfectly marinated and grilled to perfection. So excited to post this and go eat some more.

An old friend recommended this place more than a year ago, so I was glad to finally be able to try their food. What stops me from being even more enthusiastic is ultimately the food. While I enjoyed my lamb gyro and also liked the hummus and rice on my companion's mixed shawarma platter, it fell short of taking me back to the best gyro/kebab I ever had in Petersham, Australia, of all places. You could say it's a different style, etc. but I hoped for something outstanding. Despite being a fast casual joint, they do have a good number of tables and chairs, and have a comfy vibe, although I would've liked to see napkins on the table at a minimum. I also appreciate that they bring the food out. They have their own parking spaces right outside. I hope they continue to do well.

Absolutely amazing food with quick service. Highly recommend if you live nearby or are just passing through to stop here. Well priced for the amount of food you get.

Delicious food, sizable portions, affordable prices ($10 a plate), and nice interior. Went in here for a quick bite and was surprised at the quality and value. Service was quick and efficient. I've attached our meals, they looked amazing and tasted even better!

I've tried a few halal places around Albany, but the food at Aria Kabab just kicks. Their meat is so tender, flavorful, and delicious. I love getting their rice platters and the lamb shawarma sandwich; it really reminds me of the times when I used to live in Hyderabad, India. Also, a huge fan of their sauces! I also loveeeee the quantity of the portions. Their food is definitely a 10/10. The only reason I've given the rating a 4 is that I find myself taking out more, since the ambiance of the place is just average. But it is THE place that I find myself visiting whenever I crave halal.

Can't recommend this place enough, It is soo good. Food is phenomenal and so is the service! I love this place and I bring my family here all the time. We sit down and have a great time because the foods always good and so are the people that work here. I highly recommend their chicken or beef tikka. They also provide you with white and red sauce which is really good. If you come in with a lot of people, you can also get their combo which comes with a lot of portions for everyone. Every item also comes with salad on the side.

First time ordering from Aria Kabob. My niece and nephew highly recommend the place. Excellent Afghani foods. It is a treat from boring fast food and burger places. Ordered takeout for 6 and bill was about $70. including 15% tip. The food is plentiful! No skimping on meat here. The man who took my order was friendly and helpful. He packed up an assortment of sauces for us. The order was ready in less than 15 min while I waited. Ordered; Philly Steak Gyro, a steal at $7.49 Lamb Swawarma Gyros Chicken Gyro Zinger Fries were flavorful. Little spicy but not hot. An order was large enough to share! Mixed Shawarma combo plate which came with rice, hummus, and salad. Outstanding! My grandsons liked the gyros very much. Loved is the word they each used. We all enjoyed our meals. You can "eat in" on tables or in booths or "takeout." You can order ahead online and pick up. Parking outside door was convenient. Wish it was closer to my house, but 10 miles one way is not far enough to keep us away from a return visit.

For the cost, it is very good food. But for authentic, I wouldn't say authentic they don't make their own bread and the white sauce is more like ranch sauce with mayonnaise. I did enjoy it. The value is definitely there, but I'd rather pay a little more for homemade bread and metal forks while you're dining in. There's no selection of a side of chickpeas or spinach, but it was very good for what you pay for.

Love the food here. Good selection of Afghani dishes. Portions are generous. I enjoyed everything I had ordered from here. People are pleasant. You have choice of sauces available in squeeze bottles, the while sauce, green, and red, although they were out of red the last time I was there. Sorry I don't know the names of them. Green sauce has cilantro in it and a bit vinegary. White sauce is tangy and sort of like tzatziki? Red sauce is a hot sauce but not too hot. Modern payment system that takes NFC payments like Google Pay with option to send receipt to your email address if you so choose. Off street parking which can be tight at times.

Back side of Aria Kabob menu. This still isn't everything... the shawarma sandwiches and some gyros are missing.

I'm a fan. My lamb gyro was tasty and generous at $5.99... good lamb flavor, not overcooked, a generous amount of veggies and sauce. It's not on the printed menu so you have to order in house. The place was bustling at 1 pm on a Saturday. They have a shawarma spit but only serve one meat at a time.... today it was chicken which is why I went for the gyro rather than a shawarma sandwich (which would have been a dollar more). Hopefully they'll be confident enough of their business that they'll soon become a two-spit place.

There's a new kabab in town. If you like kababs, give this quaint little shop your attention. The menu has much to offer from kababs to sandwiches to salads and wings too. SO had a meal with a two kababs; one lamb and one kofte. It is served with a small side salad and a scoop of rice. My direction usually goes to a salad; so I ordered the chicken kabab salad. It had a bed of crisp romaine lettuce with what looks like salsa - diced cucumbers, tomatoes and onions. Was a lovely presentation. Also not offered in other places is a generous portion of black and green olives and chick peas on top of it all. Accompanying our meal was the traditional green and "white" sauces. (White sauce being similar to a tzatziki.) What I did miss is the spicy red sauce I've gotten at other kabab establishments. The chicken kabab was bite size pieces of tender chicken with a little spice sprinkled on top. A nice lunch with many menu possibilities for so many more lunches or dinners. This kabab house is very good at social distancing. Staff are all donning the required masks. My only complaint is that the parking lot has never offered much. Fortunately, I arrived at a good time and was able to park easily.

A good and generous takeout meal. We had the lamb and chicken kofta, mixed shawarma and chicken tikka rice plates. The Shawarma plate came with homemade, very good hummus. All meals came with a nice mixed salad with cucumber, tomatoes, onions and lettuce. My son had whole pieces of lamb whereas I had ground lamb. All were similarly flavored but at least the flavor was good. They came with mildly spiced rice. We chose white "spin" sauce and green cilantro sauce to accompany. Overall a decent value. Fresh and tasty if not a remarkably different meal.

I deconstructed the Cosmo, which was a splash of peach and kettle one which was a three dollar of charge for an $18 drink. We had the back room for a large party (9)Servers staff were friendly and accommodating. I was surprised at how long it took too get seated. The seafood tower of lovely had asked for warm butter. The side dishes are all à la carte but the potatoes and the asparagus excellent. Mistakes were done as ordered just been prepared for price shock. I recommend the crème brûlée for dessert and the naughty Irishman coffee.. overall was a nice experience with attentive, weight, staff and creative and with a sense of humor! I personally cannot afford to go there except for very special occasions. A meal at Ruth's Chris feels like an event. There's so much anticipation. Yes, the prices are high but it seems that you get what you pay for. A wonderful meal with top notch service and ambiance. I did not find it pretentious. I was concerned that it might be. There is no dress code. While some dressed up, others were casually dressed. One man even showed up in a very wrinkled shirt and the staff treated him as well as any other guest. The wait staff is amazing. Our server was Valbon. He was gracious, helpful and very thorough in describing food preparation. My friend had a Porterhouse Steak prepared medium well done with just a bit of pink. It was a massive steak. He said it was prepared perfectly. Same for the mashed potatoes and asparagus. I don't eat much red meat. Valbon recommended the sea bass for me. It was remarkably tender. I enjoyed the sautéd vegetables, too. I was amazed that I finished my entire meal. My friend took part of his giant steak home and enjoyed it the next day. I asked for a light cocktail. A vodka-based Lemon Drop martini was recommended for me. It's a popular drink there. It was just right. Ruth's Chris is a chain. I know that some people frown on eating at restaurant chains because of quality concerns. But Ruth's Chris is fine dining and the food preparation is apparently held to high standards. Our meals were enjoyable. It was our first time trying this restaurant to celebrate my wife's birthday. They added decorations on our table and also gave my wife a small cake and candle which was a nice gesture. Steak was great and service was excellent. Our server was very friendly and even the manager stopped at our table to greet us. We will definitely come back.

We went on a Friday night and dinner and this was one of the few places we could get into with less than a two hour wait. Parking lot was packed but most people that were waiting had ordered Take out. We were seated right away which was great. This by far was one of the worst meals we have had at Ralph's though the turkey sandwich looked good, tasted good, and was loaded with Gravy. The pasta was disgusting overcooked with watery and sweet sauce. Though what made it so bad was all the oregano in sauce which overpowered the dish. Tied for worst dish of the night was the potato skins. Skins were small, cold with very little bacon bits. And like pasta the same heavy headed chief put tons of Cheese Whiz on skins. I don't care for cheese whiz and in all the years I have ordered skins this is a first that cheese whiz was used rather than shredded cheddar cheese. The cheese spread was globby, overpowering definitely not good. To add insult to injury the skins were not cheap and sour cream which normal comes with skins was extra. At the end of the day skins were more than the Turkey sandwich. Should have stuck with family favorites as the skins and pasta were not it. While we were seated right away we had to wait awhile for server to take our order and for food. Think they must have been understaffed as server was running like crazy but did not see her until end of meal. Please note with mobility challenges it is tough getting in and out of restaurant and there are no handicapped restrooms. Also cash is king here. They do take credit cards but you pay a hefty fee to use card. ATM is available in vestibule but with ATM fees probably a card is best

Joe's Grill is not a place to go see and be seen. It's not where you go chasing the latest cult beer can release. One might look at it and think it's not a place to go for the food either. Those people would be wrong. Are there regulars in there, sucking down beers on a Saturday afternoon? You bet there are. If you get there early, you might even inadvertently sit in one of their seats. But don't worry about it. You're just visiting. They know you'll be gone before too long. Actually, if you order food, you might be at Joe's longer than you might suspect. The food is cooked to order, and it's worth the wait. The wings are seriously good. Now I want to go back and try the pizza. Actually, I want to try a lot of the things on the menu. I'm not entirely sure about the dining room. There's a pool table right in the middle. And while nobody was playing, I found sitting at the bar felt like a much more natural place to be. But this isn't the place to come with a group. They have beer on tap. But beer in bottles is probably a better option. Judging by the empties, It looks like they go through a lot of bottles, so I would expect product cycles through with some regularity. When drinking macro brews, I prefer them to be impossibly cold. But old refrigerators aren't quite up for the task. Still, that's okay. Because do you know what Joe's has that places with colder refrigerators don't? Character. And it's not a character that can be created or imitated. Maybe you can have the car pick you up or drop you off next door, and you can walk the 90 feet to Joe's. Then maybe you could feel like you're part of the neighborhood. More than anything else, this is a neighborhood tavern. And Albany's taverns are this region's diamonds in the rough.
