We've only been to lunch, so keep that in mind. Service was excellent, though they were clearly short-handed by the time we left. Waitress' English was limited but understandable and she was patient and cheerful. We loved that the portions weren't the usual American gigantic; they were perfect for lunch. The green curry is wonderful. The soups are good; if I had any quibble, it would be that it's too salty. Ambiance is lovely. Pad Thai is American-style, a little too sweet and "gluey" for my taste, but my wife adored it. (And they use large shrimp, which makes for a nice change.) Dumplings are good too. Wanted to try this place with my family as we saw that it was new, the pictures and food looked amazing but unfortunately we left disappointed, angry, and still hungry. Upon arrival was seated immediately but the server didn't even come to us until after 30 mins of waiting. She then proceeded to take our order and had to wait over 45 mins for apps which all did not come out the same time. 2 crab rangoons, lemongrass dumplings, bowl of soup, and pani puri shrimp cocktail. After which we then had to wait a hour for our entree and during that time they came back a minimum of 4 times to ask us what we ordered again. Only two entrees came out and while my husband and our youngest finished their food, myself, oldest child, and my mother waited. By then we were annoyed with the long wait, seeing 3 families coming in after us to be served before and leaving too. Our bill came out to be 200+ USD (if you don't believe I'd be happy to break down the cost of our meal) which would have been fine had the food and service was worth it but it wasn't. Just the drinks alone Thai ice tea ($8) and canned soda ($6) amongst other up-charges was ridiculous. We will never come here again there are better Thai restaurants that are owned by Thai people with better service and won't change you an arm and a leg for small portions. read more

We've been driving by watching for the opening of this new Thai restaurant which was replacing the former Celadon Thai restaurant. This Thursday evening the stars aligned in our favor as our first choice to have dinner had too long of a wait to get a table. Arriving about 6:45 pm there was no problem being seated. While they had a grand opening sign displayed outside we understood from our server that they had been open for about two weeks. The best part of our experience was the food. I'll mention the just opening jitters that still need attention later. Two in our party of three ordered hot green tea ($2 each) while we studied the menu. I ordered Thai iced tea ($4), always a favorite of mine. The green tea is the bagged variety and our server returned with more hot water to freshen the cups about halfway through our meals. I thought my Thai iced tea could have had more tea and less dairy, but that's a preference that I experience at many Thai restaurants. We started with an order of Lemongrass Dumplings ($12) to share. The six dumplings were served piping hot with golden brown seared bottoms. The very flavorful mixture of vegetables and lemongrass was a real hit for all three of us. My wife ordered the Thai Som Tum ($13). On the menu this was the only dish that included a statement "Ask us for employee yummy versions." Our server explained that this was to allow the customer to specify how spicy they preferred to have the dish prepared. My wife specified mild. When it was served I tasted it and warned my wife that it was very spicy. We both enjoy spicy food and are accustomed to it; so, this was not a case of a couple of wimps unable to withstand the heat. Otherwise, the vegetables were fresh and all the ingredients were very flavorful. Our dining companion ordered the Steamed Fish with Ginger ($19) - tilapia with ginger, scallions, and cilantro in a light soy-based broth and a splash of hot oil. He exclaimed without anyone even asking, that the preparation was quite good. As a sucker for wide noodles, my choice was Lahd Nad ($19), a popular Thai Chinese comfort preparation with broccoli and carrot added to the noodles along with a thick gravy. I added pork as my choice of protein. The pork was tasty and tender, the gravy was flavorful, although not thick, the noodles were very slippery as expected, and I enjoyed my meal even more after I started using my spoon in addition to my fork. Speaking of the utensils, it was intriguing to see they were gold colored when slid out of their paper holder. So, what were the opening glitches that still could use some attention? The amount of time we waited for our server to take our order seemed unreasonable since there was only one other customer in the restaurant and he arrived after us. After our appetizer was served the three main courses came out one at a time with several minutes between each dish. While there was the issue of the Thai Som Tum being served very spicy when our receipt showed that the order was submitted as "not spicy," no one else at our table was ever asked how spicy they wanted their dish prepared, or informed if that was even an option. Again, reviewing our receipt after dinner we noticed that each entrée had been submitted as "not spicy." Ending on a positive note, our server was pleasant enough and the ambiance was warm and inviting. They may be awaiting some type of alcohol license for the bar area with about eight stools. read more

We were looking for the Thai restaurant that was at this location previously, and saw this new one replaced it. We thought, sure why not, we're here. The food was good, the service may be inconsistent - the server of the other table check on her customers more frequently, however they may be regulars, idk. Our server also did not offer a drink menu, however there appears to be a full bar with bartender. So, do we order drinks at the bar? Anyhow, the restaurant was clean, as are the facilities (which is shared with art studio next door). The hot Thai tea was very good (came in a glass pot), as was my entree. I was looking for something light, and the steam dish in light sauce fit the bill. read more

I came here on a recommendation, and was disappointed by the service. We were not given lunch menus. I did not realize they had a lunch menu until a table seated after us was given them while we were finishing. We had two different waitresses with one being nice and the other being incredibly rude. I ordered the Tom yum noodle soup which has its own photo and section on the menu. She seemed a little confused, but I pointed to the photo and said I wanted the meat that was listed in the dish when she asked if I wanted any meat. There did not seem to be a language barrier that prevented her from understanding my order as she spoke with an American accent. What she brought me was a small vegetable Tom yum soup. When I said I don't think this is what I ordered since there were no noddles she was quite rude about it and told me this is what I ordered. I restated that I got tom yum noodle soup and she said they didn't have it. I asked her to bring me the menu and pointed out that the item was listed. It turns out there was an error and it wasn't listed in their system even though it was on the menu. I asked if I could get the soup I ordered instead of the soup she brought. Her first solution was just to bring a side of noodles for the tiny bowl of soup since she said it was the same. I told her there was no meat in the soup either and the dish listed three different meats. She told me there was meat in it, I showed her there wasn't. She then asked if I just wanted pork like I originally said, which I did not say, so I stated I would like the dish how it was listed unless they did not have the ingredients to make it. She seemed annoyed and said they could remake the soup, which I agreed to. It took a while, but I got the soup. She was more polite afterward, but it seemed more like she had realized she had messed up and was very rude in the beginning. Overall this interaction soured my mood. The soup was $19 and I would have been appalled to pay $19 for a small veggie soup with some noodles on the side. The appetizers for fried wontons were fine. My dad had no issue with his meal and enjoyed the yellow curry. The dessert was fine, but a bit on the smaller size. Total was about $71 after tax for lunch for 2 adults before the tip. My dad is much kinder than I am and left an appropriate tip where I would NOT have after the trouble I went through to get what I order. The second waitress was fine. The decor was nice. read more

Thai restaurant so I was eager to give it a try. The plaza had tight parking because of another popular restaurant nearby. The space is clean and bright. The staff were very kind. I had the vegetable summer roll, which was expertly wrapped with homemade peanut and sweet chili Thai sauces. These were quite good. For my main dish I had sizzling basil tofu. The portion was extremely small for the price. I ordered hot, but really felt no heat. They were able to bring jars of chili pepper, which made it better. The dish was also somewhat oily with thick sauce. I would definitely try something different next time. For the summer rolls and basil tofu the bill was $32. read more

We really enjoyed the food (Pan Puri, steak Pad Thai, northern Thai curry noodles, Thai iced tea, mango with sticky rice, and crispy banana rolls with vanilla ice cream were all excellent). Lance was a great server, offered good conversation, and an even a little bit of Thai tourist guiding. Since we came on Mother's Day, they even gave my wife a rose. Service was beyond slow, no drink menu of any sort was available, asked for one and had a bit of difficulty attempting to list them all verbally. My family's experience at Si Uthai was one of the worst we've had. We walked in and they seated up immediately. It was not busy, they had maybe 3 tables filled. Gave us the menus and didn't come back to us for 45 minutes! The menu doesn't have drinks listed and we sat there wondering while no one came. Finally I waved someone down, they gave me a hand gesture for one minute and 10 minutes later they came to our table. We asked what they have for drinks and they proceeded to say "lots of different beers". Mind you there is two kids at the table. I asked if they have Thia ice tea, any sodas, water etc and I got "Yes we have those". Finally proceeding with the order we got our drinks and water 15 minutes later. (A hour into sitting down and looking at the menu) More customers started to come in and they were seated and ordering. About 30 minutes later we got half our appetizers. Another 15 minutes go by and we got the other half. Other customers were getting all of the food they ordered ( 5-6 tables of parties of like 3-4) Two hours in we got two dishes out of our five. They came to our table and asked what we were missing. We told them about four times what dishes we had left on the order that we were missing. People that were seated after us have already left or were eating their food. While we were waiting Two and a half hours in we finally get our food and everyone tried a little and was over it. One child ate his food while we were just going to get a to go container for everyone else. Get our to go container and get the bill. -They charge extra for different meats (beef, shrimp etc) don't think it was stated in the dine in menu - soda was 6$ from the can - Thia iced tea was $8 191.27 meal Tipped 30.00 (which is the lowest I've done percentage wise on a bill like that) I feel absolutely disgusted that I even tipped for that service and I really shouldn't have. Food: Appetizers were very decent lemongrass dumplings, shrimp pani puri, and the CraB Rangoons Entrees were very lackluster. The drunken noodles flavor was good but the portion was small for what it is. The pad si eew, northern Thai curry noodle and the yellow curry were lacking a lot of flavor for what they're supposed to be. We took the food home to add some seasoning nonetheless. Great new Thai restaurant, replacing one that recently closed. Our go-to restaurant is Thai Kitchen, but this one is very close by, and very good. They have lunch specials, $15 or $18, depending on meat. Chicken was very good in my lunch, with panang curry. Food was ample and very tasty. The server was very nice. You get an appetizer, I had lemongrass pot stickers, soup, I had Tom Yum, and a main course, the curry. Very close to any meal I had in Thailand. Drinks are extra. For lunch courses the selection was very good. Located on Grooms road, a nice addition, and variety, a departure from pizza and subs. Very authentic, will need to try desserts next time. read more

Great food! And we're kinda picky about our Thai food, but didn't disappoint. First time here, we went with standards to gauge, spring rolls, lemongrass dumplings, Tom Kha and Tom Yum soups, and then our usual mains, Pad Thai for her and Drunken Noodles for me.
