I see the owner almost every morning at Trader Joe's loading up a large cart of flowers and plants and then I will see the same plant she bought at Trader Joe's for $10 hanging outside her store for $50. I think this is morally and ethically wrong! Do yourself a favor and walk the extra block and a half to TJs for your floral needs. Your wallet will thank you. read more

Also ordered for delivery at a specific time and it was delivered late( 1 hr later) this place is only 3 blocks away so traffic was not even an excuse. I know Covid times are hard but dont lie about prices my mom went to buy a dozen of roses and it was 45 so why were mine $108? dont waste your money here! read more

I was using 1800 Flowers for a while and I decided to find a local florist in my neighborhood. I found The Secret Garden and took a walk in to check it out. The lady who helped me advised on which were the freshest color roses and put together a beautiful combination. They were a huge success, my wife's favorite colors. We were concerned that they wouldn't last since we were going to be away for a couple of days. We came back to find they had really bloomed and were unbelievable huge and still looking fresh. Called yesterday and requested an early delivery Sunday. I'm really pleased they pulled the early delivery off but the arrangement lacked dimension. This was particularly troubling as it was for my anniversary. If you order red roses don't you think a bouquet should have some contrast? No contrast at all. If I wanted a grocery store bouquet I guess I could have dragged my butt up and done this myself Sunday morning. 2 stars for deliver the rest is unremarkable. read more

Instead of the standard cut flower arrangement (a la FTD), I was looking to send a basket of flowering garden plants (e.g., geraniums, lantana, etc.). Fortunately, the website for The Secret Garden contained pictures of available bedding plants. I contacted Monique and asked if she could fill a basket with bedding plants in their pots (so my wife could easily transplant the flowers). Monique replied "YES!," and asked for my thoughts. I am extremely impressed by the flower arrangement that i got from the secret garden. My boyfriend asked them to make a tulip bouquet with some other flowers in it with that little description-they knew exactly what to do. The arrangement is perfect. Comes in a beautifully shaped glass vase, with tulips and other beautiful flowers that really go perfectly. I couldnt have imagined a better arrangement. POOR QUALITY PRODUCT AND HORRIFIC CUSTOMER SERVICE! RUDE MANAGER! TAKE YOUR $ ELSEWHERE! I live in the neighborhood and prefer to support local businesses when I can. We have used the Secret Garden multiple times for special occasions and 'just because.' The past few times we used them their product has been extremely disappointing. Last Valentine's Day my red roses wilted in less than 24 hours. They came in a vase so its not like we cut them improperly and they were in a mild room away from any harsh sun or cold air. The flowers were replaced and we moved on. Then I received a birthday arrangement from there. For the price, it was lacking. It wasn't full, the leaves were brown on the edges and the flowers again didn't last more than 2 days. We didn't reach out on this occasion, but it was surely disappointing. This Valentine's Day was the LAST STRAW! My fiance got me flowers that were beautiful. However, we noticed within a few hours of them being on our dining room table that 3-4 of the dozen roses were beginning to wilt. Eventually, two of the flowers were completely sagging and wilted. My fiance called and nicely explained the situation and did mention that this is not the first time this happened. Initially, Secret Garden offered to replace the flowers and pick up the old ones. This was fine with us as we wanted them to see the issue with the product they provided. A few minutes later they rudely called back and said they would be picking up the flowers and NOT providing a replacement. This was disappointing as it was for our engagement and Valentine's Day. My fiance had to ask for a refund, which they didn't want to provide. The woman on the phone got extremely defensive and rude to my fiance. When he mentioned his disappointment and that this is not the first time this has occurred, he was told by the owner 'then don't shop here again...we don't want you as a customer.' We have given this business a lot of money (likely close to $1,000+). No customer should be treated like this for a defective product. Secret Garden could have easily rectified the situation, but instead, they treated a good customer poorly. We will certainly not be going back and recommend florist seekers go elsewhere. read more
