I used The Shade Store for all of the window coverings in my new home, and I am super pleased with how everything looks. We moved in during the start of the pandemic April 2020, right as workshops across the US were closing. We had a little delay and a fabric mix up for the drapes in my husband's office BUT TSS was amazing- they tracked down the correct fabric and remade our order. Lance at the Cherry Creek store was amazing- helpful, patient, and followed up every step of the way. Since moving in, we have added a few sun shades behind drapery panels and we added roman shades on 2 stairwell windows and a fun velvet drape to close off our tv room and help dampen sound (2021). We did all of these with Lance, all coordinated by phone and email, and they all turned out beautifully. I'm now helping my older parents move to a new house and I when it gets time to order window coverings for them, I will use TSS for all their windows. Good fabric selection (you can also provide your own fabric), reasonable pricing, fastest fabrication out there, and quality customer service from Lance are the reasons I will return to TSS for window treatments. read more

My husband and I recently bought 12 shades for around 11k. The 4 roller shades turned out pretty nice, except for the shade at our entrance missing an inch of width. We chose Shade Store because we fell in love with a certain fabric for the roller shades, and I now wish that is all we had purchased from this business. The remaining 8 shades are roman shades with blackout backing and they are extremely disappointing. In our master bedroom, each of the 3 shades is seriously lacking in width and the room is extremely bright with the shades closed. We have actually stopped sleeping in the room if we are planning on waking past 7am. Take note that The Shade Store made the measurements, not us. The rest of the shades are OK, but the installation was not done the way we expected and some of the shades do to even hang straight. The cords are also inches inside the shade, meaning that you have to move the whole shade to get to the cord and then locking the shade open involves bending the fabric shade. When in the store, I had asked about the color of the cords and was told that they would be matched to the shade - our shades are beige and the cords are black (it definitely does not look custom). For weeks, my husband has left messages to the customer service line, the main office and this store, but have yet to hear back. Any customer service seems to be totally non-existent with this store. read more

I want to preface this review to say the store in Cherry Creek is attractive and the person who waited on me was very nice and helpful. But that's where my good feedback ends. The shades I ordered and paid $1000 for (just 2 of them) arrived with a metal ball cord open and close system. It never worked right. They hung crooked from the start and opening and closing the shades was difficult as you have to reach your hand behind the shade to operate the system. I was never asked at the store what kinds of opening system I wanted. I would have chosen the cord pulls. So I called customer service told them I had crooked shades and they asked me to return them to replace the cords. We went through having a rep come out take them down, box them up, use paper shades for 2 weeks and then reinstall when the shades were delivered with the new cord system. Well now they hang straight, but the cords are a tangled mess. There are little metal magnets attached to them that have made it ever more of a tangled mess. So now I can't close the shades. I have asked for a refund and have been told they can't do that because they are "custom." I really regret buying these shades. The last pair of Roman Shades I had lasted 15 years with none of these problems. read more

EXCEEDED OUR EXPECTATIONS! The experience with the Shade Store was outstanding in all respects and absolutely exceeded our expectations. We were pleasantly surprised as the wide variety of fabric options for the roller shades we sought, and the professionalism of Julie Shull who assisted us in the Denver location was great. Julie went out of her way to answer every question we had. If she didn't know the answer she got owners of the company involved (including offering pictures of different installations, etc.). We were impressed that one of the owners of the company who works in operations proactively reached out to us during our decision process to offer his insight and assistance directly. You can tell this family-owned business is passionate about customer service! We were also surprise as how competitive the prices were. Due to the high quality of the fabrics, the store, and the entire operation, we assumed the quote would come back much higher than alternatives we'd been considering. When the quote was competitive it was a no brainer to select the Shade Store's offering. Once we did so the customer service continued at a high level including a follow up from Julie to determine if we were happy post-installation. We couldn't be happier with our experience and we DEFINITELY plan on purchasing more roller shades as well as some curtains from the Shade Store in the next 9-12 months for additional areas of the house! read more

They replaced my shade with a new shade with a heavier fabric and a more substantial mechanism. The new shade looks good and works very well.
