The first time I walked in, I was skeptical. I pointed at my head and asked 'do you cut Asian hair?' (in my comedian voice) "Of course," they said. Then, I was promptly seated. I simply show the barber the hairstyle I wanted from a photo. He cut it so precise. I have been satisfied with his skill on my haircut. I felt in love with this establishment ever since. I talked to a couple of my coworkers, who are long-term customers at The Sharper Edge. Hearing their testimonials: One said, "when I moved to Houston, I didn't know where to go. I searched all over town for an experience barber. Most of them talked loud to each other with foul language. Once I found them I never want to leave." Like the other reviews say, if you're not black you'll have to wait for hours. I waited for 2 hours and when I did get my haircut, I asked for a taper and trim off the top since I had a dyed patch. I asked to cut off the dyed patch and cut the rest of the hair the same length. He just cut the patch off and left the other side of the head the same length and he was done? I had to go to a different place so they could fix it. read more

I came in without appointment on a Monday afternoon and was seated as soon as I sat down. The guys here know what they're doing, I usually go to visible changes but I decided to try an actual barber shop. I think it's safe to say I will be back. They were talking about meek mill and drake and had me cracking up hard! I don't listen to that genre a lot but it was hilarious. The guys are courteous and experienced. The guys at Sharper Edge are very talented. Went in there a first time and got a great haircut. Second time I went I was in the waiting line behind 4 other people. Waited an HOUR AND 20 MINUTES for the first person of the waiting line to be called. The worst part is that people came in out of nowhere, gave one of the barbers a handshake and sat down ready to get a haircut. I would assume they signed up for an appointment if only Sharper Edge had a website for you to do so. The only way to set up an appointment here is by texting one of the barbers. There should be a way to expect how long you'll be waiting for a haircut or at least a way to set up an appointment without being a "bro" of one of the barbers. Been going to sports clips over by willow brook mall, heck I've been going to sports clips since I was a kid, but today I decided to try something different and went to Sharper's Edge. First thing I noticed was this was your Average barbershop you see on BET lol waited around an hour with only 1 person in front of me the whole time so I would definitely recommend appointments over walk ins unless you got a couple hours to kill. You can tell these guys are passionate about they're craft and will work with you until you get it exactly how you want. Honestly don't think I've ever had a better cut than these guys . This is now my new place to get cleaned up . Highly recommend to anybody and I think I've only done 1 other yelp review in my life so you know I'm serious lol read more
