Very nice portion as well and not for an extravagant price; I fully recommend. So far the best Chinese I had on the Island ( and I lived 3 years in China) thank you very much for a delicious lunch. I will come back very very soon.

I have often walked past and taken no notice of what looked to be an ordinary cafe. I have to say I…read moream very pleased that I finally ventured in to give it a try. The decor is basic like any typical British cafe until you see Chinese writing hanging from the entrance to the kitchen. (see photo) I was immediately drawn to the Oriental Corner part of the menu which offered a meat choice with noodle in Soup. If you have ever had Vietnamese Pho then this would be like a Chinese version. (not as intricate as a proper Pho or with the proper noodles) I ordered the meat dumpling with noodle in soup and my friend ordered the roast pork version. We also ordered a portion of Chinese pan fried meat dumplings (this was pork and shrimp, known as Jiao Zi if you want to get technical) When the noodle / meat soup came out it looked very appetizing, was light in flavor (they give you soy and homemade chili oil to deepen the flavor to your liking) I tried both dishes and have to say the roast pork was tender and light and the dumpling was excellent. I can't believe this was only £4.50 a portion! Yes, £4.50! A crappy sandwich from a shop would cost £3.50. This is much better! The side of pan fried meat dumplings were very good although I wish the dipping sauce was a bit more interesting maybe some garlic, chili sesame seed oil or something. The staff in here are also really nice. Very friendly, warm & smile a lot. Gives the place a good vibe. I will definitely be coming back to try some of the other oriental dishes. (They do other typical cafe / British dishes as well and I may give those a try at some point also as I imagine they will have the same high quality and great prices.) I suggest you give this place a go. I for one will certainly be coming back!

Lucky for me that I remembered this place and convinced my wife we should walk the 2 mins in howling wind and rain to get to the promised land. This place has been here for years and while maybe looking slightly dated in terms of modern coffee shops has a really good vibe with friendly staff, lots of snacky options and of course good quality coffee. The macchiato I had was great and my wife went for the cappuccino - these both came to £4.50 which is a fair price to pay. Just be warned though that they charge 50p to use your card if less than a fiver - so make sure you have enough cash on you as I didn't clearly see any cash machines close by. Hot chocolate is supposed to be awesome here too. Wifi password is: spillthebeans

Well situated out on a limb on the west coast of the Isle of Man in Dalby (10 mins drive from Peel)…read morethe Niarbyl is a stunning spot full of natural beauty. From it the coast line is stunning all the way down to the South and on a clear day you can see Ireland while also looking for basking sharks, seals and dolphins. To be here is the good life and even if the weather is awful (like it was for us), there is something amazing about the power of a storm lashing the coast! The visitor centre does good traditional pub/cafe meals - so be expecting things like Fish and chips, beef burgers, pies and the usual starters and desserts. They also do a great selection of sandwiches. My wife and myself ordered the cod and chips and it was more like whale and chips it was that big - very light batter and a taste of just by the seaside. The chips where homemade and were lovely, plus it all came with fresh (possibly homemade )mushy peas and tartare sauce. My grandma had a child's size portion of this but it was still the size of a normal portion somewhere else. My Dad decided to break the cod and chips rule by having a crab and watercress sandwich which he thought was excellent and their sandwich selection was pretty impressive with lot's of variety. All in all, lunch for 4 plus soft drinks and a tip came to £45 which isn't too bad when it came to enjoying a day out with family in a lovely unique setting!

Roast here was a choice of ham, turkey or roast beef, carved to order, and then a buffet of your typical Sunday roast accompaniments (vegetables, two types of potato, etc). The meat was good but not something that makes you stand back and say one of my best meals ever. I would say it was a very typical Sunday roast. Service is very friendly but inconsistent. It does not seem like they were really trained, they sometimes forgot tables, but they were trying hard and were quite nice. I'd love to try the restaurant on a different day, the menu seems quite interesting, and would even go back again for Sunday roast but you need to enjoy the view as much as the food.
