The Shop makes you not even feel like you're in Binghamton, New York. It's a cozy atmosphere that also has the best crepes I've ever tasted. The drink menu is extensive and everything is fairly priced. Service is great and I'll definitely be going back soon. read more

Stopped by this spot after a campus tour with my daughter at BU, and loved it. The decor provides a very clean and modern throwback feel. I had an ice espresso which was straight to the point flavor with punch, my wife had a vanilla ice latte which was amazing. We have been to the Shop about 3 times and we have never been disappointed. Classy place with a great atmosphere and delicious food. We always get savory crepes and they are always wonderful! I love the sparklers too! I have not had a sweet crepe yet but I am certain they are great! I'm usually too full from the delicious savory crepes! I highly recommend The Shop. A stunningly good cafe, with delicious snacks, excellent coffee, exciting beers and cocktails, and the kindest staff in Binghamton! The crepes are especially wonderful --- everything comes out fast and fresh. The atmosphere is quite comfortable (lighting, music, temperature) and the decor is really cool and unpretentious. These folks seem to be genuinely excited to offer their patrons food and drink that they like themselves. Oh, and they have (hands down) the cleanest and fanciest bathrooms in the city. Brought an adult and two kids (6 and 3) on a Tuesday afternoon. Excellent, friendly service with lots of choices for small plates or crepes, and a full bar. I had the small plate with brie, toast, candied walnuts etc., and it was just the right amount, and very tasty. It was classy but not uptight. I HAVE FOUND THE TREASURE IN BINGHAMTON! This place is a gem definitely worth visiting. I originally found this place on Yelp because I was looking for a cafe to study at but damn, glad I came here. Went with a friend to study on a Saturday afternoon and wasn't crowded at all. It's currently Restaurant Week so I ordered the 3 course, $10 meal of Ham, Swiss, and Pepper savory crepe, a short draft beer, and a double espresso. Crepe tasted delicious! I can't wait to come back and try some of the sweet crepes *COUGH NUTELLA COUGH*. I was feeling a bit homesick so if you're as much of a Manhattan enthusiast and lover as I am, you'll fall in love with this cafe. Perfect ambiance, chilled music, and interior that reminds you of your daily cafe back in Brooklyn or LES, this is the place to be. Plus the service and servers were amazing, always kindly checking up on us here and there. We wanted to stay a bit longer after our meal so I ordered a Pomegranate Ginger Ale, lil did I know that they'd serve the Bruce Cost Ginger Ale *praise*. Great variety of drinks on the beverage menu. Free WiFi and couches in the back with a low top table for studying! Next time I'll stop by for a cold brew. I think the only downside is that there were a lot of fruit flies flying around, wish they could do something about it since it was bothersome when eating. read more

Ate lunch here during spring restaurant week. The menu has a wide variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, several sandwiches, crepes, and salads. I requested a chicken sandwich with regular mayo rather than the sriracha mayo listed on the mayo as I am allergic to hot spices. I explained this to the waitress to make sure that I was going to get what I requested. Unfortunately, she forgot to mention this when she placed my order so I received the wrong sandwich. She apologized and said that they were busy and she forgot. I did not expect such a mistake especially after making my needs clear to her. All in all, the food was very good but the restaurant was so noisy, it was difficult to have a conversation with having to raise my voice. I doubt that I will return unless they do something to help with the noise level there. read more

Was here in the summer of 2015 before they closed for several weeks. Was really sorry to see that they take such a long break right in the middle of the travel season! We would have loved to send our guests there. Portions are on the small side, but everything was served beautifully. I could make a habit out of the berry crepes. One of my Restaurant Week discoveries, and a good one at that. This is a great brunch place for Binghamton. A Brooklyn-style brunch though, and by that I mean come here not expecting a massive meal, but something small to eat that accompanies a couple really good drinks. On that note, the food is really good. I got the pork charcuterie, which came with a really good eggplant spread. Also, they have a great drink selection. Seeing the Bronx Pale Ale made me happy and reminded me of home. Topped off the meal with a good espresso. So as long as you're not expecting an enormous serving of food, this place is definitely a good spot with nice people. read more
