So we had to choose a new breakfast place as our usual stop is closed on Monday. This choice was basically accomplished by using Google and seeing the massive list of places in the area and choosing one we haven't been to yet. Oh my gosh I'm glad we did this one.. Isn't much to look at when you walk in but it's basically a diner so what do you really expect? . Menu isn't huge but what they do they do very well. First thing I noticed when the breakfast came to the table was that the potatoes were fried in butter. A lot of places we have gone to use a little oil on the flat top, nope this place uses butter. And not that cheap imitation butter either they use some real butter. Those potatoes were incredible. We both had the steak and eggs, we both ordered the steak or air which for a breakfast steak is about a 25 second window before it's overcooked, and these guys nailed it. Everything else we had was really good including the French toast. A lot of places have it rather soggy, this wasn't crispy but it was well, let's just say less soggy. We asked him about other things we like for example the sausage biscuits and gravy which they only do on Saturday so we have to go back now. I also want to try their breakfast sandwiches because I was talking to them about these, and for those that are in this area that remember a place on I think Broad Avenue called Pasquale's.. well Pasquale's used to have the best breakfast sandwiches, and the Clinton diner here is telling me that they make theirs a little bit bigger. Definitely has my interest peaked. So anyway yes, I definitely recommend this place. The prices were not too bad really, all of the food we have here I think was about $30. For two steaks, and basically a third order of French toast, I'd say not too bad. read more

Cute local diner with a hometown and retro feel. We stopped through when we were passing by on a road trip. We only needed coffee but the staff was friendly and accommodating. They told me they use a special blend of 2 kinds of freshly roasted beans to get a perfect flavor. We were just in time for a fresh pot! Coffee was hot and fresh. Not quite as strong as we usually prefer but it was perfect to sip and kept us caffeinated on our morning drive. Plus at $2 a cup it was a steal. If we are around here again we would absolutely try their breakfast. read more

The BEST diner in Binghamton! I have been to all of them. The sausage links/patties are amazing, I believe they are homemade. The only dinner that knows over medium eggs. Great price and patrons have been going here for 25 years. I wish I knew about it for 25 years being a local gal. Whether you are from the Bing or an out of towner.....know that this is the best place to have an EXCELLENT breakfast with good people sitting all around. Pretty decent little diner. Good service and cool vibe, classic counter top seating along with tables and some cool old pictures of Binghamton on the walls, as well as some 50's throwback signs. For breakfast I've had pancakes, home fries, and a bacon egg and cheese sandwich. The pancakes were very good, they had a great texture, they were soft and fluffy and they were very filling. the home fries had a good flavor but the ones I got needed to be cooked longer, they were a little tough. the breakfast sandwich was good but i've had better, the bread overpowered everything but the bacon on it was really good. For lunch I've had the bacon cheeseburger here as well as the chilli dogs. the burger was just ok. again, the bacon on it was great, but the bun was just an average burger bun you can get in an 8 pack at the store, and there was nothing on it, i was expecting mayo, lettuce, and tomato. the chilli on the dogs had a good flavor but the actual dogs were just ok. There was a special for 2 dogs and fries for about $6 i think, which was worth it, but the fries were nothing special, they were pretty limp, not crisp at all. Id give the breakfast a 4 and lunch a 3, so overall a 3 and a half rating. nothing amazing but you'll get a satisfying meal. read more
