This is my favorite place in Bing to grab a drink. They close a bit early, but if I'm available to grab a drink before 11pm then I always want to go here. I would definitely recommend sitting at the bar, we always get great service there. The bartenders are always super nice and friendly and my boyfriend and I are big fans of the Cucumber Chili Margarita and the Jasmine Gin and Tonic. The crepes are really good too. The only negative I have is that the prices night be a tad expensive for your average university student, but honestly the customer service is so good here and I would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Binghamton. read more

The interior of The Shop momentarily whisks you away from the city of Binghamton with its laid back/hipster ambience. I ordered a cappuccino & prosciutto salad w/ roasted chicken (+$2-3) while my friend ordered a chai latte & ham/manchego cheese crepe. The food was really good and surprisingly filling! The cappuccino was also great and my friend said her chai latte was a bit too sweet but otherwise enjoyed it. Overall, would recommend. On a quiet Friday night we arrived to The Shop 219 to a great social environment. We were warmly greeted by owners Eugenie and Zoran the moment we entered. We started with the cayenne mocha latte and a whiskey blueberry mixed drink that were absolutely amazing. Their variety of small plates vary from Brie and figs to different assorted cheeses. For our entree we were very pleased with the assortment of crepes. All in all, the shop provides a great environment to hang out with your friends and family and enjoy some of the best food and drinks binghamton has to offer. read more

The food was great, quinoa chicken salad was delicious , chicken was marinated perfectly. Brie and my lady's crepe were also fantastic. She got a blueberry lemonade with vodka that she said was good, but they f'd up my beer. A bit annoying... I ordered the "double IPA" that the waitress said they had on tap... got it and it tasted like an Octoberfest... (I hate to admit it, but I've drank enough beer to tell the difference). Worst part was when I inquired they told me it was "only a single IPA". I'd rather have they'd just taken it, and admitted they f'd up. It wasn't a "single IPA" either (has anyone even heard of a single IPA? me either). Too bad, it would have been an above average experience but this killed it. read more

Great crepes and cozy atmosphere. Both times I came at night and the space is dimly lit with candles at every table. It sets a nice mood and is a calm space to hangout with friends. Really great food. The service seems to be a bit disorganized and we had to wait for stuff, but at the mere mention of a missed item or drink, they rectified the situation graciously. The Shop is probably my favorite building in Bing. It's gorgeous. It is trendy and hip but it is also excellent! The food menu is small but adequate and everything tastes great. (I'll take a small menu with deliciousness over a large mediocre menu any day.) They also make amazing Euro-style coffees and have terrific beers and wines by the glass. We had a brunch while visiting my son at the university. I ordered a butternut squash soup which was very good, not too salty, not too sweet, and not too creamy. There's clearly some thought put into the drink menu but the food menu seems uninspired, needs more variety. Look, the place has a great vibe and if you're just there for some drinks it's great. But when you charge me $10 for a proscuitto crepe (i.e. a little flour and a single slice of prosciutto) then you better at least have good service. My husband and I came here for brunch today. This was our first visit. He heard about it from online reviews recommending the crepes. I had seen it on the Binghamton Wine and Tapas Tour last weekend but didn't make it in. We sat inside and started our meal off with coffees. I had a vanilla bean cafe au lait. He had a vanilla bean chai latte. The drinks were fantastic. I like my coffee drinks very sweet so these were perfect for me. They came in huge round mugs with a pretty swirl on top. My husband found his too sweet for his liking but enjoyed the chai flavor. He usually drinks straight espresso or black vanilla iced coffee (maybe one sugar). Next came the crepes. I am usually a fan of sweet crepes but the savory crepes looked so good I had to try them. I got a crepe with prosciutto, spinach, and swiss. The filling was warm and melted, the spinach nicely wilted. It came with a small salad with a simple vinaigrette and a couple pieces of tomato. I highly recommend this. It was huge though, like the coffee, and I was unable to finish it. The waiter had no problem packing my leftovers for me to take home though. My husband got an egg, bacon, and cheddar crepe. His looked to have a little bit heavier filling than mine but he seemed to thoroughly enjoy it as well. It also came with a small salad. The interior of the restaurant has a cute downtown loft feeling with high ceilings and exposed brick. Our waiter couldn't have been nicer and was very attentive without being bothersome at all. I think the location is a little off the beaten path of downtown and could easily be missed if you didn't know it was there. I felt compelled to write a review as I was so impressed with this place and the quality of its food. They have a nice selection of wine, beer, and coffee drinks, as well as charcuterie/cheese plates, salads, sandwiches, and crepes. Great ambiance, they usually have good music at a reasonable volume playing. The crepes are way overpriced though. I can't figure out how a $6 crepe in any major city warrents a $12 price tag in this torture called Binghamton. They have a good alcohol section and coffee too. Alcohol again is overpriced and needs to be a dollar or two less to get me to come here with any frequency. Otherwise it's not worth driving downtown. read more

This place was at one time a decent restaurant. My girlfriend and I were in there the other day and had a sub-par lunch. What took me by suprise was the additional charges from the restaurant. We were charged for ice in an "iced coffee"! Yes, an additional charge for "Ice." Other charges included a 1.9% credit card fee. We have eaten all over the world and have never incurred a fee like this. Lastly, I asked if they had some powered garlic to put on this dish I ordered and was told I can have some fresh garlic as they don't have any powered garlic as a condiment; of course I had an additional charge for this as well. I guess we wouldn't mind as much had we been informed of these additional charges on the menu or verbally from the waitress. Beware of this place if you are dining in downtown Binghamton. read more

We checked out The Shop about a month ago and absolutely loved the experience. Our waiter was super friendly and very attentive. I got the prosciutto and swiss crepe, and the other two in my party got the roasted chicken, bacon, cheddar, and spinach crepe. All three were delicious and filling. Without a doubt the best place in downtown Binghamton!! The atmosphere is AMAZING!! Everything in the menu is unbelievably tasty but you should specifically try their vanilla ice latte and eggplant & red pepper crepe. Waitstaff are super sweet and they also have amazing playlist. A great spot for something different for lunch --we had our party of six somewhat crammed around a high top but we managed. Service was fine despite the 1:00 weekend brunch/lunch rush. We had hummus and a charcuterie platter to start, then an array of crepes (and one prosciutto pizzette). The crepes are decent sized but we were glad to have had the appetizers to round out the meal. I enjoyed my red pepper eggplant spread/havarti crepe, my husband was less enthused by his egg and prosciutto one. My daughter had a veggie version and her bf had a chicken one that they both liked, but the table winner was my other daughter's bf's French toast crepes swimming in maple syrup with three large clouds of whipped cream (that one earned oohs and aahs). One small caveat is the fifty cent charge for ice (for my chai latte) and the 1.9% fee for credit cards --those were annoying enough to knock off a star. read more
