    Table bread

This is an easy review, overall 3 's Warm inviting atmosphere with an attentive staff. They have an extensive wine list but honestly, it's the food that matters most. The table bread was okay and overall, I look for more flavor/seasoning in my meal. As Italian restaurants go, the food was mid. Highlights; my wife throughly enjoyed her salad with the house vinaigrette and the tiramisu.

We stopped by for dinner upon coming into town and were completely blown away! The service was EXCELLENT and they were all so kind and accommodating. The food was delicious with generous portions. The ambiance was cute and we enjoyed eating outside. We had the oysters (so good) and seafood pasta 10/10 recommend!

SUCH friendly staff that were accommodating and hardworking the entire night. They have a pretty extensive drink menu consisting of specialty cocktails and wine- Kiwi Mojito and the apple cocktail with moonshine were both super refreshing, 10/10 recommend. The tortellini bolognese was our favorite- it was so flavorful and cheesy. The margarita pizza was pretty good.. I'm a sauce girly so I do wish it had a tad more sauce but I really liked the crust. This is a great date night spot!!

Came here for a bachelorette dinner. We were a group of nine ladies. We ordered a bunch of wine and sparkling wine and we had a grand time. I had the steak with potatoes and vegetable. I thought it was good, but I asked for my steak medium rare and it wasn't even close. Still had good flavor. Everyone else seemed to enjoy their meals. We also ordered dessert and it was delectable. The main thing I loved was the singer and accordian player who came around to all the tables. That was fantastic and really leveled up the entire experience.

The first time I came to Osteria Salina the experience blew my mind. I got a wood fired pizza and just wow. Additionally the staff is very friendly and the atmosphere is romantic. The second and third time I visited I ordered pizza for the table and after a long wait we received the wrong pizza order... we didn't want to send it back and wait another 20 mins (it was packed and short staffed) so we ate it anyway and it was incredibly amazing and allowed me to try something I would have otherwise not tried. It was so good I forgave the mistake. I recommend this place to anyone visiting the area. If you want to feel some authentic Auburn-Italian culture- this is your spot.

The 3 stars is only for my husbands NY steak with a reduction sauce sauce and roasted potato with veg on the side was delectable! I ordered a pizza with different cheeses. By the time it came I ate halve of my husbands potato and steak. Did I mention how wonderful it was!. Pizza was good and i will eat it later but will not order it again. The drinks where very sooolw coming. Like they did not want to make them for us. They took our meat and and cheese plate left overs. When we asked where they where he made it look like he did not even know we ordered it. Then said he would have them make a "smaller " plate that concisded of one extra cheese and tomato that I did not want. Not happy with that. We waited a long time for everything. That would of been alright if we did not have too, flag down one of many people that waiting on us, for a refill on a drink to go with everything. Never asked how any thing was. Never asked us if we wanted deserts. It was a nice place but the service sucked big time!!! But did I mention how awsome the NYS steak was!!! We agreed we would eat this at the bar and not bother with table service!! We waited like 15 minuts after we finished our drink and a woman came over grabbed mikes glass and the card right out of his hand! " thank you"!!! No check just took his card! WTF was that!? Then the guy came over with the receipt. I checked it to be sure it was what we ordered. Then mike signed. I was floored. The whole time we where there the conduct of the lady that was helping with water or what ever, kept on making flertaouse moves while the male was at the register! My husband made comments I cane not repeat here. Good luck if you visit here. The parking on the street was confusing enough, add in bad service and you have a desatetous comination. What a waste, but the NY stirp made it worth 3 stars.

We've been to Osteria Salina twice now and enjoyed both times with tasty food and attentive service. Our latest meal was complemented by two glasses of red wine from a long list: a Valpollicella and a Barbaresco. The restaurant is known for its pizza, but also it's Calamari and we started with that - excellent! We had the seafood special and the veal special - both were very very good. We finished our night with no dessert unless you count the delectable house-made limoncello!

I've never eaten boxed pastas and will not eat at restaurants that do or have make their own. With all that said. I can no longer make my pasta, and it's been a struggle. I finally wised up, and googled fresh homemade pasta. Bingo! The Pasta Shoppe came up and had 4.9 stars. I bought Spaghetti, Tortellini, their bolognese sauce, and meatballs. I wanted to surprise my husband, because he has been taking care of me, while I've been sick (cancer) I brought this home and made him dinner. Neither of us cared for the meatballs. Which we kinda expected. Cooking meatballs and then freezing them, makes for a rubbery meatball. But if they could figure that out, they would be great, because they had nice flavor. So if you're used to precooked meatballs this is your place. If you are only used to homemade. I'd recommend skipping. The spaghetti was perfect, 3 minutes and whole, just like I make. I enjoyed them very much. Have not tried the tortellini yet. I froze them. But I'm excited for them, they look fantastic. Bolognese sauce was wonderful. I would buy again, but will probably try a different sauce next time. Haven't try them all, right? I'm so happy that Incan gets the quality pasta I'm used to, without all the work. It may seem expensive to some, but it's better than any restaurant, so it's cheaper than eating out.! And if you ever made your own, you know how much hard work and love has to go into it. It's impossible to make pasta without love, so worth every penny.

Parking is easy and if you're in a real carb binge vibe, you can pick up some Balsam Bagels right across the street. The shop itself is quite small. You'll see coolers on the left hand side and fresh cut pasta in the case by the register. I grabbed some sauce for my sister from here. I don't think one thing inside the store is vegan, so I didn't end up with anything for myself. My sister said the sauce was life changing and the variety of pasta has me excited to try them out in a future, non-vegan moment of my life. Friendly staff, community vibes all around. Go scope it out!

Having made reservations for 7:30pm, we arrived early and waited for our table to be ready. We made a note in our reservation for a booth on the fireplace side, and the woman (host) worked hard to make sure that happened. After sitting down, we placed in a couple appetizers. The bacon-wrapped scallops were delightful. The bacon, crispy and the scallops incredibly tender. Served with a side of drawn butter, but these were delicious on their own. As for the loaded potato puffs, we received a generous number of puffs, and each one was also very tasty. The sriracha ranch sour cream was the cherry on top. For mains, we opted in for the prime rib, and Delmonico "cowboy" cut. The prime rim was incredibly tender, juicy and perfectly seasoned. Served with a phenomenal au jus, this is the best prime rib I've ever had. I can confidently say that about the Delmonico steak as well. This 20 oz. center-cut, bone-in was grilled to the perfect requested medium-rare. Seasoned perfectly, tender and juicy. Although I didn't care much for the gorgonzola cheese sauce, the steak was amazing. We also ordered a side of lobster tail. This was also incredibly tender and really brought the meals together. To end all things, we ordered their creme brulee served in a chocolate shell. This was a great dessert, although I would have preferred the custard to be firmer, and less chocolate sauce overall. I found the generous amount of chocolate sauce on the bottom of the plate, and on top of the creme brulee, on top of the chocolate shell they're served in to be over the top. Nevertheless, we enjoyed this dessert. I want to point out, all the staff members including the owner was very kind and welcoming. From the initial host to our server Lauren, to her boss who came around to ask us how everything was, the staff are very hospitable. Add in a warm and cozy dining room area with a fireplace, this is easily a 10/10 experience for us. We will make it a point to revisit more often and not years in between.

The server didn't seem to be having a good day and my friends noted that as well. They both did, however, enjoy their dinners. Also, be aware of snarky hostesses. We made a reservation for 430 pm on a Thursday and arrived about 10 minutes late. We did let the restaurant know we were on our way. When we were seated, the hostess said "Just a reminder we have a 15 minute grace period on reservations." Ummm...the restaurant had plenty of open tables - I could understand if people were waiting to be seated. They weren't. This kind of thing does nothing but make me put this restaurant on the do not visit again list. Not a smart move.

When I asked the barista how many ounces of espresso went into their lattes or ameicanos, they didn't know, and then explained that they just press buttons. If I wanted coffee made by buttons, we could just go to Starbucks or McDonald's. It hardly justifies $5 for a latte, which should ideally be made by a person. That said, the my coffee tasted great. Unfortunately, my friend ordered an americano. When I saw the barista pumping a thermos into his cup, I asked them what they were doing. They said "Oh, we pre-make it so it's easier for us." I didn't know that coffee shops are made to be easier on the purveyors. And they clearly don't know that within 15 minutes, the precious and delicate and delicious qualities of espresso disappear. I'm still shocked by their response. Also, his Americano wasn't hot as most of those thermoses don't keep things hot enough. But at least they didn't have to stress, which seems a large concern considering no one else was in the place. Ugh.
