Our experience with them was…read morea complete disaster from start to finish, and it's been the most frustrating and disappointing process we've ever been through. Timeline of Our Nightmare: October 2023: After our house was hit by a vehicle and ultimately torn down, we decided to go with Riverview Homes, believing their promise that modular homes are faster and more efficient than stick-built homes. We started the process by putting down an initial deposit. November 2023 - February 2024: Choosing finishes for the house was an incredibly slow process. Every time we contacted them, it took weeks to get a response. Our finish selections weren't finalized until February 2024 -- nearly four months after we started the process. April 2024: After a further two months, Riverview finally scheduled our closing meeting and placed the order for the house. So, from October 2023 to April 2024 -- six months just to get the house ordered. June 2024: The house was delivered to Riverview's lot, but despite the fact that our site was ready and prepped, the house wasn't delivered to our lot until a full month later. July 2024: When the house was finally delivered, we were told it would be "move-in ready" in a couple of weeks. This was, of course, a lie. While Riverview's crew managed to finish the exterior and some basic interior work within a week, everything came to a screeching halt when they brought in a subcontractor to finish the rest. August - September 2024: The subcontractor they brought in had never worked for Riverview before and made a complete mess of the finishing work. When we notified Riverview about the mistakes, they came out, ripped off the trim, stairwell railings, and carpets (which were stained), and ordered new parts. But when these parts came in, they sat at Riverview's warehouse for over a month with no work being done. They claimed they were "waiting on the railing." October 2024: When the railing finally arrived, it was missing pieces. Riverview's employee didn't even notice until five days later. Then, it took them another week to order the missing pieces, which were wrong for the house plan. The railing had to be ordered and reordered three times due to their complete lack of organization. November 2024: A month and a half later, another subcontractor was hired. But halfway through his work, they pulled him off to complete another job for Riverview. They then hired a third subcontractor to finish the remaining work, but he only managed to complete the trim and carpet. After a month of contractor roulette, Riverview's crew finally returned to finish the job -- over a year after we started the process. What Went Wrong: Massive Delays: Riverview's timeline is a joke. We were promised a quicker process than a traditional build, but this ended up taking over a year. Unreliable Communication: From the very beginning, communication was a nightmare. We had to chase them constantly for updates, and when we did hear back, the responses were vague and unhelpful. Subcontractor Issues: Riverview subcontracted out every part of our build, and when things went wrong, they blamed the subcontractors. The first subcontractor was completely unqualified, and when they hired others that were qualified, they were pulled off our job to complete other Riverview projects. This caused even more delays. No Accountability: Riverview took no responsibility for the mistakes made by their subcontractors. Instead of making things right, they just kept pushing the work further out with no sense of urgency. Financial Concerns: We were required to pay in full before the house could be delivered to our lot, which should have been a huge red flag. Once they had our money, they had no incentive to finish the job on time or do quality work. Awful Customer Service: When we finally reached out to Riverview about compensation for the delays and mistakes, they offered a ridiculous 0.7% of the sales price as compensation. This was insulting and showed how little they cared about our situation and their customers. Final Thoughts: Riverview Homes promised a quicker, smoother process, but it turned out to be the exact opposite. Over a year later our home is finally complete, but it's been a complete nightmare. The endless delays, poor communication, lack of accountability, and unqualified subcontractors make it clear that Riverview Homes is not the company they claim to be. Avoid Riverview Homes at all costs. Save yourself the stress, time, and money -- they do not care about their customers, and they are not equipped to deliver what they promise. I would highly recommend finding another company.

When I looked to see what he'd done to start the job he had taken out a piece of trim from the roof. Which is exactly "starting" the job. Even though, I had not signed the contract and I had not given him a deposit or permission to move forward with this job. It was all downhill from there. He then became angry and spiteful so he literally told me one day because I did not give him the rest of the work that he had taken on another job, and it was gonna take him longer to do my job. OK I said, not a problem. As he began to take longer and longer to finish the repointing work, I began to get nervous about the cold weather coming, and I still wanted to get some things on my roof done so I asked him to go ahead and give me a quote on the roof work. He comes back with a quote for $9900 for some roof work which I didn't think was a crazy number, until I had an actual roofer come and give me an estimate of $5500 for the same work and then another roofer give me an estimate of $6200. This guy is a fraud, he price gouged me the entire time because I didn't know and trusted him. He's not trustworthy. The pricing is one thing and if there was excellent work to go with it I really couldn't complain. When I confronted him on the terrible cement job that he did, he lost his mind. He yelled and screamed into the phone, called me all kind of names that I will not mention here trust me, do you due diligence with this guy do not hire him. He does not respect women which is why most of his reviews are men he worked with or did jobs for. "There's so many things that happened on this job; way too much to type in this review, however, you can let the pictures tell the story on the cement and how he left this job.
