First time trying their breakfast and it was worth the 42 miles. My friend and I sat at the bar or our food and breakfast cocktails along with some banter from the bartender. 2 breakfast meals and 4 drinks the bill was about $35 is what I call a deal. Its A Great location to have a bite to eat and drink after floating down the Turtle Creek. This is your normal rural bar. They had some outside seating but not enough available for our group of 9 A great waitress took our drinks orders and returned to take our orders. We started with some appetizers, my personal favorites were the cowboy ball , a breaded ball made with corn ,cream cheese and jalapeño. They were yummy and not to spicy. My 2nd favorite was the pulled pork tachos, ( tator tats) loaded with cheese, tomatoes and soir cream. The kids got pizza they thought it was great. The BLT was made with Texas toast and fill with nicely cooked bacon. Everyone was very happy with there meals and the service was great. Met friends to watch the bears game and there was a huge meat raffle! Great food and drinks. Staff were friendly and service was speedy!

Fried cod was very dry. My husband loves fish fries and we have been to numerous restaurants throughout Wisconsin. This was far from the best fish fry in the state in our opinions. Sides and drinks were good though and prices reasonable. read more

I've only ever had the fish fry and it never disappoints. Free popcorn while you wait... although it seems like you grab a beer and your buzzer is going off before you know it. The fish fry is delicious--usually share a piece of baked and fried with someone. The loaded potato is a unique side that I enjoy. Friendly service! read more

Very good wings! Also loaded tatter tots are good. Gave fish another try it was good but I definitely prefer and highly recommend their wings. Have come here once a week for the last 3 weeks for the wings. Yumm! Friendly service. Ordered lunch for work here last week and they even delivered it to Beloit for only $2! We've tried fish fry all over the region, there were a lot of contenders, however this place is hands down the best we could find. Usually find ourselves waiting for a table because the food is so good, they have a nice outdoor area with picnic tables to visit while you wait. The staff is very friendly and you'll usually find the owner pitching in to help his staff make sure everyone is taken care of. This place has become our go to for fish......at some point we should try their other food, I hear it's just as good. read more

Came in and got a Bloody Mary. Best Bloody Mary I have ever had. Had a bite of my food (bacon egg and cheese burger, double) and couldn't help but tell myself, "this is the best f***ing burger I've ever had". I'm not a local but I will never not stop here. My husband and I went to Shopiere Tap this past Friday for the first time. My husband had the fried cod and I had the fried cod with the grilled cod. Everything was absolutely delicious! The fish is seasoned to perfection. Great food, great little bar with a scenic view and a great server! We will be back. read more

We went out for a burger for first time since shutdown in March...scared a bit but no worries...sat at least 15 feet from others...which were WI people I'm sure ..for they were parties of9-12 people at tables! Hugging and enjoying their lunch...which we envied but being in our 70's we are hesitant about socializing just yet. We enjoyed our Spotted Cow beers ( another reason for going to WI!) and burgers...and evening apologized to our waitress Carly for being ANTI social and wearing masks...she was so nice about it...first time to Shopiere and loved it...hope to venture back for their delicious fish fry we have always heard about..thanks again Carly! read more

The food is very good. The bartenders are kinda bitchy and their covid response is a joke. Theu clearly don't have any regard for the safety of their staff, patrons, or general public. I'd heard about this place and finally had the opportunity to go with some friends last Friday night. A group of six of us arrived around 5:30 on a Friday night, and the place was already packed. It was going to be a half hour wait. They have a covered picnic table area where you can sit and wait, or you can choose to sit outside. The bugs weren't bad and it was a beautiful evening, so we decided to sit outside. There was a sand volleyball pit out back and a creek/stream. Party of two offered their table to us as they were not yet finished paying their bill but planning on leaving. We gladly accepted! Our server was busy, but made a point to greet us and take our drink orders immediately. Once they came we ordered appetizers of fried smelt which I have not had since I was a child, and an order of cheese curds. You have to specify white curds or yellow. We were perplexed. Frozen, unable to decide as to which color of curd! The waitress explained the difference. Still perplexed. My friend asked could we have half and half? No. We were in Wisconsin and had to make a choice. We are used to mixed or no choice in Illinois! Our server chose for us to end our dilemma and said, "Just get white!" Lol. She returned with the appetizers and we quickly passed them around. Cheese curds we served with ranch and were very good. The smelt were heavily battered and smelled fishy when you bit into them, but were tasty as well. We all ordered fish. I got the 2 pieced fried cod with a baked potato. All the men got the two piece fried walleye. They all got different potato options. One baked, one fries, one waffle fries. My friend ordered the three piece baked cod with potato pancakes, which they offer applesauce or sour cream with. My other friend ordered the friend shrimp with potato pancakes. Our dinners came with a pre-packed container of coleslaw and tartar sauce, a slice of French bread and some butter. Mine came with sour cream for my baked potato. Everyone enjoyed their dinner. My cod was lightly battered, good flavor, the fish itself was light and flaky. The outside batter was not cooked but not crispy. Not sure if it should have been, but it was very good. The walleye came out in two long pieces and the guys gobbled them up. The shrimp tasted fresh and not frozen according to my friend. My other friend loved her baked cod that was seasoned with lemon pepper. We had a great time and a great dinner. We saw some friends of ours that just arrived in a party of six and offered our table immediately upon finishing. We are always looking for a good fish fry. We have been pretty hard core to another great fish fry spot for quite some time. Shopiere tap takes the trophy now in our book. The service was great and the food is second to none!! This is honestly the best fish fry we have had!! The food was to our table very quick. They make a great brandy old fashioned also. The atmosphere is great with people having fun all around. If you're not into the "bar scene" there is an ice cream shop across the street that is owned by the same people that does the same fish fry but less of the bar atmosphere so we were told. We will definitely be coming back. This is our new favorite spot. read more

Best. Bar. Ever. My husband and I were introduced to the Tap almost a year ago by close friends of ours. The event? The Friday Fish Fry. Since we first began, we now have our home away from home on Wednesdays and Thursdays because the food is awesome- even their taco's are tasty. We started going so frequently not only because the food is good and my husband can get a pitcher of beer for about $7, but also because the servers are great. Our favorite, however, is Bri. She takes the time to make each guest feel like they are family and we have yet to see her not remember a regular's order. She is the absolute best server I have come across and if I could steal her to work for me, I would because her customer service skills are top notch. With great food, inexpensive prices and awesome servers, Shopiere Tap is tops! And did I mention they have weekly meat and gun raffles? read more

The TAP as it is know by us locals is a great place to meet friends and hang. Voted BEST Fish Fry in Rock County and that is saying a lot considering Rock County is Norwegian West in the US. Great drinks and a very friendly staff. The owner is a very big supporter of "Vets Roll" and has donated over $50,000.00 to the cause. Since new ownership the food has improved dramatically ! I have only been there for the (I get the walleye) fish fry on Friday nights . It's wonderful - once you get a seat, the food is served fast, hot and it's a large serving. The place can be crowded and noisey on Friday nights but it's a fun and friendly place. read more

Debit card was charged twice for our bar tab. Five days after notifying them of the problem, they we're still not returning phone messages. Our bank had to step in to subrogate on our behalf, and rectify the fraudulent situation. read more
