Parking spots are in the middle and outskirts, but the traffic flow is mildly off. There is a stop sign in the middle of the lot and you can take a u-turn. This makes it hard to see oncoming traffic; it's kind of hard to explain unless you see it yourself. I do like the shops and restaurants in there; Applegate Market, Little Oak Cafe, UPS, and Ace Hardware to name a few. There is a new rooftop restaurant being added as well. Entrance and exits are on Albany Turnpike and Dowd Ave. There's an empty building towards Dowd Ave. Hoping they revitalize that!

Raising Cane's, a fast food chain is opening up in there as well, opening in the Fall 2024. There's also a go-kart track and movie theater. Other retail establishments are a Stop and Shop, Walgreens, Party City, banks, gym, and various others. This is a convenient plaza to have that has most of your lifestyle needs.

The Hoyt Cinema is a great place to see a movie. They have Luna Pizza, a Chili's, a Bed Bath and Beyond, a drug store, a card store, a gym, and a few more tenants. We have seen some turnover during the years. Oddly, 2 ice cream places including a Stone Cold Creamery have folded over the years. One of the major recent changes was the replacement of Borders Books by Home Goods. Plenty of parking. Nice easy access. You can get in and out fast, and just about always can get what you need somewhere.

I've always enjoyed shopping at Kohl's because the prices are usually good. I'm a bargain shopper so you will find me at the clearance racks. The best time to go is during the holidays (fourth of July, black Friday, end of summer, etc.) There is something for everyone and a great place to shop for gifts too. I like this store because it's two levels, organized, clean, and has great parking. There are escalators and an elevator. It's conveniently located in the Shops of Farmington. The service was good. I love their clearance racks which can be found at the end of the aisles. A great place to bargain shop. I've always loved TJ Maxx and Marshall's is essentially its sibling. The following types of products can be found at Marshall's; footwear, clothing, bath, bedding, home decor, furniture, beauty products, jewelry, housewares, toys, giftware, and per supplies. I loved their candles and random skincare, and soaps. The clothes were pretty decent if you dig around the racks. The employees were friendly. Overall, a fun place to shop and you can find some treasures; as their slogan says, "Your surprise is waiting and never boring, always surprising."

However, when I went to the register to make my purchase today a grouchy old lady with a huge stick up her a** had the nerve to tell my twin 9 year old sons to not touch the candy bags on display if they weren't going to buy them. I quickly wondered why she would ASSUME we weren't going to buy them and I asked her if she was in a bad mood. I followed up by saying that I've never heard that people can't look at candy bags or show their parents for possible purchase. She said that many customers won't buy an item if it has been touched. WOW! Is all I can say. The nerve. Everything is touched in their store! Candles are smelled, pillows are squeezed and the list goes on. This lady had some nerve and even the manager behind her told me it was fine if my kids picked up and looked at the candy bags. I mean what's the point of having tiny gum-ball machines right next to the register if NOT TO ENTICE children?!!!!! Anyhow, people are just rude and all I can say is that if you're damn near 80 years old and working at Marshall's just chill the F*ck out. You don't need to act like you own the store and try to make up these crazy rules to try and assert your non-existent power. Maybe CUSTOMER SERVICE IS NOT THE JOB FOR YOU. If you do have grandkids I pray for them because you do not know how to talk to or treat children.

It's not my type of store. Currently it's primarily an athletic store for men and women. I am actually surprised it's still in business. I just went the other day, because they sell men's Levi's jeans in tall sizes and I needed them for someone. There is also plenty of Under Armour, Nike, Champion and Reebok athletic gear. They also have bathing suits and sneakers. The store isn't busy at all, but it is well stocked and organized. They have a rewards system, for every $50 spent you earn a $10 coupon for next time, so they're working on bringing back their clientele. Bob's Store is a decent store, but most of the items they sell can be found at other retailers for a lower cost.

The employees are friendly, helpful, and efficient. The parking lot is big and there are enough cashiers on duty where you don't have to wait in line too long. Now for the items, it's a wonderland full of fantastic and affordable items. My favorite would be the food section (duh), because you can find snacks that you can't find in other stores. They sell all sorts of items from kitchen stuff, seasonal items like shovels/sleds, jackets, shoes, clothes, home goods, etc. Most likely what you're looking for is at Job Lot and for a fraction of the price. Sign up for their Insider's card for coupons. They are also a great company because they often donate to charities. I'm a regular because I love that store!

They also have a big selection of window blinds. As with any other discount store similar to Job Lot, the inventory isn't always guaranteed. This store is large, filled with snacks, pet items, paper goods, holiday items, and plenty of home items. When I was at this store a few days ago, they were having some issues with the light. It was walking through a tunel at night, it was so dark inside. Whatever you may find at Job Lot, the prices will be a lot lower then anywhere else.
