Kohl's was founded in 1962 and has approximately 1,174 stores in the US. It's a retail store that sells clothing, footwear, accessories, beauty products, toys, furniture, electronics, accessories, and more. Kohl's is known for its value and selection of brands for the whole family. They also have great sales and coupons; the more you purchase the more coupons you get. Also, it's a convenient place to shop because they offer online shopping, in-store shopping, and they have an app. You can even do Amazon returns there. I've always enjoyed shopping at Kohl's because the prices are usually good. I'm a bargain shopper so you will find me at the clearance racks. The best time to go is during the holidays (fourth of July, black Friday, end of summer, etc.) There is something for everyone and a great place to shop for gifts too. I like this store because it's two levels, organized, clean, and has great parking. There are escalators and an elevator. It's conveniently located in the Shops of Farmington. The service was good. We made a quick visit here for some women's clothing and did not explore the entire store, so let's call this maybe an "interim" review. We like Kohl's in general. They carry good merchandise and their prices are usually quite affordable with abundant sales. We liked the clothes we found, and even one likable dress that wasn't on sale was not priced too high. It's a good sized store, so you'll do some walking to get to the men's and children's sections. There's also a second floor easily reached by escalator or elevator, and you'll find everything here from clothing to electronics, from jewelry to shoes. We did have difficulty find help, however. When we did, they were helpful, but there didn't seem to be a lot of them. There's also a large Sephora store within Kohl's that seems to cater to grown-ups. Lots of parking outside -- a good stop for us at the Shoppes at Farmington Valley. read more

I hit the jackpot at Kohl's in Canton CT last evening. Three fantastic staff assisted me - returns, purchase, and floor person. The nicest people I've encountered in retail. EVER. Great selection of toddler, girls, kids clothes on sale. Even picked up great items for my dog. 50% off the sales price - plus extra coupons - prices were unbelievable. $5 boys Nike shirts etc. Store was immaculate. read more

Kohl's sells all kind of goods. I usually get their coupons for 20 - 40 % off in the mail. This is where I got my vacuum, it was under $70 and it works like a dream. Recently Kohl's opened a Sephora inside it's stores. I don't really like this since none of the coupons can be used at Sephora, and there's a free standing Sephora store in the same shopping plaza that's a five minute walk from the Kohl's, that I'd much rather shop at. Kohl's is also great for Amazon returns. It's quick and easy, and they even package it for you. They're a great place for holiday decor, as well as for dressing your kids and infants. When something isn't in stock you can order it off their in store kiosk, with no shipping fees. read more

This location is conveniently located off of route 44, and there is plenty of parking for the store. It's setup a little differently than most Kohl's because it has both an upstairs and downstairs level. If you have a stroller or shopping cart they do have an elevator. It opens up to the customer service and restroom area of the store on the second floor. Seasonal items and children's clothing is upstairs, and this time of year there are lots of great clearance deals. I was in to pickup an online-order, in-store pickup, was in and out in less than 10 minutes. Friendly staff and my order was accurate. read more

l asked 5 separate people for help to find one item (a jewelry tray). The first person (at the jewelry counter) told me they didn't sell them anymore. I then went to their website, saw that they sold them, and pulled up a picture of one. I used that picture to ask another worker where it would be, which she had no idea and told me to try upstairs. I went to a cashier who also didn't know and called another worker over. She then helped me look in the bath section, which to no surprise it wasn't there! Then, I looked in another section she suggested and still couldn't find it. So as a last resort I went to the service desk, which the lady preceded to not even try to look on her machine and told me "Someone probably has it in their cart and it's probably not in the store". Please find some competent people to work there before I lose my mind. read more

I just return packages to the Amazon lady, who is super annoyed by just helping customers and doing her job! I would never want to ever come back to the store to be help by her again. She started by saying how busy she was , next slammed my watch I was returning on the table, after she kept asking how many more items I had going back to Amazon! We love Kohl's. We seriously love Kohls. They are always running promotions for 20 or 30% off. If you are a frequent customer, you get extra coupons to save even more. Clothing selection is amazing here. Casual, business, whatever. They have huge markdown sections for 60% to 80% off. Whenever we need a baby gift, this is the place. They have a huge selection of baby clothes and toys. Oddly, K-Cup coffee pods are usually a good deal here. They usually have nice $5 toys and stuffed animals by the registers, and I stock up here for my Christmas donations. Easy access into the store, a huge 2-story parking lot, and really nice folks up front. One of the best addition to the Valley.... read more

It's not a bad layout - there's an upper parking lot that brings you to the top floor with children's clothing and housewares, and parking downstairs by Shop Rite that brings you in by adult clothing in jewelry. The store is usually very clean and organized with ample stock. However, they put a LOT of pressure on you to sign up for their charge card. I think saying no once should be sufficient, and didn't appreciate the continued sales pitch. I don't shop at Kohl's often enough to begin with, and it's not a motivator to go back more frequently. read more

100 degrees outside and this store had barely any AC. I was not the only one complaining about the temp. I needed to buy a dress for a wedding and all the extras but I couldn't bare shopping with drops of sweat coming down from my face. My friend who loves the heat couldn't bare being in there also. After being in the Plainville location this Friday that I have to say I found a pretty great deal on 2 Adidas track suits for my son. It was obviously crowded with it being black Friday so I got what I wanted and scooted out of there and I have to say there were pretty quick with my check out anyways I earned some Khols cash and that is why I am at the Canton location today. This is my first time being at this location since moving closer this way it is very very different from other locations I have been to. The parking was excellent there is ample parking for the store. The layout is completely different with the 2 floors I have to say I was a little confused at first as it was new to me . There was so much to shop through I think they have anything and everything you could possibly think of! There is something for everyone the children's department has many good deals as well as the men's and women's. They also have a huge variety of makeup perfumes and jewelry for pretty decent prices. They have cookware, shoes, toys, home decor i was overwhelmed with the variety this location has. Also if they don't have what you want in stock you are able to order it to be sent to the store for pickup. To be honest I do think the weeks people have Khols cash the prices are a little higher and there are less coupons that can be used but that is to be expected. I do belive Khols can be your one stop location for all of your holiday shopping needs!! The staff was very nice and helpful answering all of my questions about where I can find certain things. The staff also did a great job with trying to keep up with the aftermath that some leave after shopping through things . The store was crowded as to be expected this time of year but all in all I did get some of my shopping done and I was happy with my experience. I do recommend Khols at every location !! read more

Normally I get great customer service here but I think they are having trouble getting good help. This young girl in customer service was the rudest person I've ever come across. I will walk right out if I ever see that disrespectful girl again. Kohls needs to do better at training their employees. read more

If you don't have a credit card or coupons, kohls can be quite expensive. This location isn't any different. If you need help, you'd have to go to a register cause you'd be pressed to find someone working. read more

My only criticism of Kohl's is that most stores don't seem to carry many big and tall items. That being said, I was in the store in Canton last Saturday with my friend and we received top notch customer service! Both of us are disabled. A woman associate (I forgot to get her name) helped us the entire time we were there including ordering items with the kiosk. I wish I had gotten her name because she deserves recognition. I was very excited when I received my 30% off in the mail. So I rushed over and picked out a perfume and a pair of sandals. The cashier tells me the 30% won't work on the perfume (which was obviously more expensive then the sandals). Very disappointed that the store doesn't accept the coupons on 'beauty products' anymore. A manager is called and they give me the online price to match another store. Bad news - it's a pain in the neck and a time killer. Shouldn't have to do it. My slip on shoes were starting to look a lot like crocs with all the holes. Without any prior knowledge of sales I waltzed into Kohl's looking for a deal. I wasn't surprised that in every single department shoes, ties, wallets, shirts, and pants for all occasions were anywhere from 20-60% off. I think I was lucky with the fact that Summer is almost over and new styles are coming out. I'd recommend Kohl's for not just shoes, but especially ties, boxers, and socks for men. You're paying about 1/2 of what you will pay for these at Macy's and sometimes more (essentially your accessories for everyday). I don't normally buy dress shirts, pants, or suit parts here - I save that for West Farms Mall. There are many more options there for that! read more

WARNING! BE VERY CAREFUL and DO NOT SIGN for a Kohl's charge card at a register. Their seemly quick cashier sales procedure and billing process caused my credit score to drop more than 90 points from an 830+. I paid off the full balance within 30 days but still incurred fees and charges months beyond and my continued efforts for resolution failed. I have not and will not ever shop there again. read more

I honestly downloaded yelp just to give this place this review... this past weekend I went here with my boyfriend to get a pair of vans that I've been wanting for a while which were 63 dollars. The cashier said if I get a Kohl's REWARDS CARD I would get basically 10 dollars off. I was all for it until this other lady comes up to us and asked me to sign a paper and answer questions.. first I didn't think much of it until they asked me for my social security number and my annual income... this didn't sound like much of a rewards card to me... I realized that she was tricking me into getting a Kohl's CREDIT CARD I said I didn't want it anymore and canceled all the questions I had answered on the machine... I told her I just wanted to by the shoes and that I didn't want a credit card cause I barley shop there.. she continued to force it on me while I was paying looking at her co working who was cashing me out saying "ok so we had to cancel we had to cancel" even while I was walking away she was nagging about how I could have saved 10 dollars.... looking back I really wish I asked to speak to a manager.. even though she very well could have been the manager.. I'll never be stepping my foot back into this store again.. read more
