Very well maintained mall. I am from Michigan and my boyfriend lives here in West Hartford and one day when he was at work I went shopping here and got here around 10:30 and it wasn't really busy which I really liked. All the malls in Michigan are mostly empty and this mall had a store in every thing and they are still adding more! First time at this mall. Very clean, spacious, walkable, with lots of seating on both floors when you need a break. On a Monday afternoon it was not overly crowded, mostly families with small children, or older teens, or retirees. It was fun to look at the Lego store and Game/Calendar store in particular. Everything already decked out for the winter holidays with "Black Friday" sales already advertised. I appreciated the Santa photo setup which was super festive. The elevator was next level fancy looking too, a hexagonal sleek capsule (I hate elevators as a rule but at least this one was mostly glass). They have an Apple Store, the usual Macy's/Nordstrom's/JC Penney's and then lots of shoe/clothing/jewelry/luxury brand stores. No food court, but a few restaurants and multiple chocolate or pretzel shops, a Gong cha boba tea kiosk, and a candy store. Anyway it was a fun place to walk around and people watch for an hour while staying dry and warm. read more

Great mall on the border between Farmington and West Hartford. I've heard it's one of the busiest and most popular malls in New England. There is a lot of parking. There are many stores, like Nordstrom, Macy's, and JCPenney. They have Tory Birch, Tiffany and Company, Louis Vuitton, Brooks Brothers, Athleta, Michael Kors, Lululemon, Vineyard Vines, and many more. It seems every time I'm in town; I end up at this mall. It's one of the few malls left that seems to always be buzzing with activity. It's got a lot of well-known stores, including high end ones like Louis Viotton, Tory Burch, Coach etc. Don't get me started on the Pandora store, that ALWAYS has a line outside. Plus it's got good restaurants like Sally's pizza which I wrote a separate review about and definitely worth a visit. This is a well kept mall, clean and enjoyable to visit. Its location is ideal being that you're only about 5 minutes away from a nearby plaza that is also chock full of wonderful stores like Trader Joes, five below, even an REI camping store. It's kinda like an LL bean, but what I love most is that there's a Doro restaurant nearby and that's usually where we always end up after shopping. I also wrote a separate review on Doro, and it is definitely worth the 5 minute drive from the mall. As far as malls go, this is one that has something for everyone. read more

A large and clean mall with plenty of stores. There are two levels and you can find quite a bit of high ends stores here. I deducted a star because there was no designated food court. I'm used to malls with food courts and a selection to choose from in one area. The food establishments were scattered throughout. We went the Friday after Christmas which was why the mall was packed. Parking was easy, we parked out near Nordstrom in the parking garage. This is a great place to shop, people watch, and get your steps in. read more

One of the last viable malls left in CT. Westfarms was my favorite for decades and has still been able to keep my interest by having higher end stores and usually attracting higher end clientele. I'm all for a day or specified time where a mall would charge you to enter and give it back to you as a shopping credit so that you don't have to shop amongst people who suck. read more

We all know the belief that online shopping and a handful of large box stores have made the majority of people saying in person shopping is dead. Especially when you are talking about malls. Being from Maine, with the reality of only one real mall still around and even our biggest mall is not that crowded or busy especially compared to this place. My wife and I were both surprised by just how lively it was here. Lots of parking as well as eating and shopping options available. From higher end to more generic brands as well as some I had not heard of. Was quite the trip of nostalgia being in a mall with some life to it. Likely a spot we would be frequenting if were living in the area. At least my wife would want to be coming here as she loves to even just window shop and look around. While it may not be as convenient as online shopping keeping this place going helps employ many with jobs and supports the local economy. Worth a visit if you like malls and shopping. read more

This review is NOT about the mall. I could not find the kiosk listed that I want to warn people about. Pin Straight hair straightener is a SCAM. They use unethical tactics to suck you in. They demo the hair tool and make you believe in it. Then they sell it to you at a high cost. We got stick for $250! We got it home and it did not do what the one in the store did. My 10 year old who used her birthday money to buy this was devastated. I researched to find many online complaints that are similar and that they don't take returns. So, I reached out to mall management. They were great. They encouraged Tomer (owner) to " Do the right thing". He tried to get us to come in for a lesson. He finally said he'd refund us. We went in and the girl working was quite nasty. After she attempted to shame us for Kerri g our daughter buy it, she was rude and barbaric with her attitude. She obviously has had to do this before with unsatisfied customers. She even claimed her mom is best friends with the mall manager when I mentioned contacting them. Then, I was informed that they won't do cash refunds only on a card. My daughter paid cash! We finally just wanted to be done with these horrible people so we did the refund via our credit card. We will be monitoring to be sure they did not access our card somehow. As of now the credit card company does have the full credit listed for us. Bottom line: STAY AWAY FROM PIN STRAIGHT and any other vendor who will not offer a refund. read more

I don't go to the mall often, but when I do, walking through is never a pleasant experience. I'm trying to get to where I need to go minding my own business and I'm attacked every five feet from the people at the kiosks trying to sell me whatever junk they have. I would really love to be able to walk through and not have perfume shoved in my face and someone trying to get me to let them touch my hair. I'm good, thanks. read more

Westfarms has great anchor stores. It's not too far from Massachusetts. Only drawback is that there is tax on clothing. All stores had great service. I can't say that there is value because that is in the eyes of the shopper. read more

Honestly, this is probably the one and only mall left in CT that's worth the drive. A bunch of other malls have so many businesses that have vacated. This one has had the same, but unless you were coming specifically for Lord & Taylor you're out of luck, it's going to have everything you need there. read more

As far as malls go, Westfarms is pretty nice. They've redone the bathrooms since the last time I went, and I'm very happy about the number of hand sanitizers spaced around the mall still. I wish there was a food court here instead of just individual restaurants. read more

This is definitely one of my favorite malls ever since the Westfield Mall in Meriden started lacking in shops. There are a bunch of common named brand stores here like Hollister Co., Loft, North Face, Lush, Apple, etc. Definitely check the rest of their shops out on their website. Walking around the area and window shopping is always a fun feat when it's a dreary day out! Everything is usually looking pretty clean and polished. The bathrooms seem to be cleaned regularly and the trash cans aren't overflowing with garbage. Security staff in most areas. Parking is fine, nothing really to complain about. I love this mall compared to Buckland. It's clean, the stores are more established and of a higher quality than Buckland, and there's even covered parking in the garage near Lord and Taylor. There are coffee places and restaurants and an Apple store and clothing and shoes options. You can even find your next piece of Tiffany jewelry here! The only reason I go to Buckland anymore is for comedy shows at Funny Bone, but if I'm shopping and heading to a mall? This would definitely be the one I'd go to in the Hartford area. read more

"The upscale shopping mall".....Housing quite a few name brands LV, Tory Burch, MK, coach, anthropology, J.crew, pottery barn, William Sonoma..and lot more. The very first thing that comes to mind as u walk in is "lavish"......Laid out really well....can't believe this is almost 40 years old.... Ofcourse constantly being upgraded... We were down the road in Manchester and had pretty much shopped the area. Checking Yelp for other malls we saw Westfams. When they have 3 different main entrances you know the mall is huge. Lot of nice stores and the mall itself was very clean and quiet. I liked that they had chairs pretty much everywhere to sit and plan our next shopping experience. read more

West Farms is a great property with great tenants and parking. It is clean and safe and I have never had an issue going there or working at Apple. One trend that is disturbing is the kiosks (some not all) in the main corridor of the mall act like carnival barkers and low-class flea markets. Upscale folks do not decide to buy photos, fix their phones, buy sunglasses, take beauty treatments, sign up for Infinity/Comcast based on a survey or intercept by an aggressive salesperson or beautiful woman. it is so annoying. I honestly can't remember what happened to me a few days ago as I was having a low blood sugar moment. I just remember being very uncomfortable. Still a wonderful mall after all these years. The Mall tried to kill WEHA Center in the 60's. Recently, Taubman got caught allegedly financing or influencing residents to oppose Blue Back Square. lol The mall has Nordstroms and Apple, period. It is great. Blueback has Crate & Barrell. LaSalle (WEHA Centre) has owner-managed local shops. We are very lucky in Central Connecticut to have great places to work, shop & eat. Same old staple mall, it's super busy again since Covid but with some turnover of stores. Great place to walk around, kill some time, have a bite/snack, or even...play Pokémon go. Though this mall is quite a ways away from our house, it's almost always worth the trek. It's got the important anchors stores like Nordstrom's, Macy's (they've even got a separate men's and house wing), etc., a bunch of nice boutiques like Louis Vuitton and Tory Burch, as well as the tried-and-true go-tos like Ann Taylor, LOFT, and lululemon. The one surprise I had a few weeks ago was that there was no Abercrombie & Fitch here, though the kids' abercrombie exists, so if you have an A&F return or exchange, you'll hafta shlep to Providence Place Mall. All in all, it's a big mall with all the basics and then some (including a random Peleton platform in the middle?!), which makes for a nice one-trip shopping stop. Especially if you've got little ones in tow to see Santa or check out the Disney store. However, the one downside is the fact that there's no real food court. Sure, you've got the attached restaurants like P.F. Chang's and CPK, and the fast "sit downs" like Dunkin and ABP, but if you want a place to lounge around, graze, and people watch for a while, you're outta luck. Despite this small quirk, I am very happy that we've got this mall, and I'd gladly make the trip for some decent shopping. Woo hoo! read more

I am a mall girl from way back. I like to get a coffee, do some shopping, get a bite to eat, do some more window shopping.. etc. Westfarms has a nice variety of stores. The mall is clean and bright. Parking isn't to terrible. The Starbucks is handy and centrally located to fuel walking around. It's really a great mall to spend time in except for the people who harass you from the kiosks with/about samples. It's makes shopping unpleasant especially if you are making the rounds shopping. I've been asked 6 times already this morning. I've ended up avoiding those sections of the mall just to avoid being accosted. It stinks :( read more

Came to here to shop around with the family after brunch at the Cheesecake Factory. The mall is bright and clean. It has lots of stores to choose from for everyone in your group. I also loved the food selection especially the Cinnabon. I love that it has a parking garage for those wintery snowy days like we had. The mall was spread out so it didn't feel very crowded. I would definitely stop here again. read more

I remember going to West Farm's Mall 30 years ago. It was lot different back then. Certainly a lot more causal and kid oriented, since then It's grown and become far more sophisticated with more expensive and yuppier type stores. For most of my needs that are other malls that I prefer but West Farm's has found it's niche and exploits it well. Last time I was there it was packed and parking anywhere near the mall was difficult to find and not very many stores inside were vacant so I guess it's doing pretty well in a lousy economy. One good thing, at least for shopping, is that the entire area around the mall has developed into a vast smush of stores which makes coming here convenient if not particular pleasant to look at. read more

Next to Danbury, this is my favorite mall. They just need a Lush, and then it might trump Danbury for me. Kind of odd configuration with corridors, but there's a decent mix of stores. An obvious omission is Old Navy, but it's right across the street so no big deal. Give me Sephora and the Body Shop and let me eat at CPK and I'm a very happy girl. Free of the raggies and hood rats of other malls (Meriden and Waterbury, I'm looking at you) this is a very respectable mall that should meet most people's shopping needs. Yes, there's Nordstrom, Tiffany, Louis Vuitton and Coach galore, which are out of my price range, but there's a decent selection of reasonable mall staples to keep me happy. read more

This mall has Nordstrom's, Macy's, Sears, LV, Pottery Barn, True Religion, gelato, nail salons, Anthropologie etc. It's slightly on the higher end side compared to other malls because of stores like Nordstrom and Anthropologie. There's also the Rainforest Cafe which is a fun place to grab lunch. They also have Dunkin Donuts (which I noticed was popular in this city). The Mac cosmetic, Disney store, Macy's, Jcp, anthropology, bare minerals, Clair's, H&M are a few stores to mention. California pizza kitchen, bricco, frozen yogurt and much more for lunch/dinner. The parking is huge and is good during winter time too. The Black Friday night is good to shop here! read more

I like to come here, although I'm not a big mall person. There are a lot of good stores here, especially high end stores like Louis Vuitton. They also have a starbucks, which I also like. Almost always the place is hopping with people, shopping or just hanging out. I was dying for a Louis Vuitton purse, which I couldn't find the size I wanted in the store in NYC, so I took a chance and came here, and voila! they had the purse in the size I wanted! The staff was helpful, although I felt the first time I arrived, they were a little slow to assist me. I wasn't able to tell if they were just giving me a chance to browse, or if because I was dressed in jeans.... I don't want to make assumptions. Either way, once I got assistance, I was in and out, and was pleased with my purchase. read more

I have a long history with Westfarms. Having grown up in Bristol, it was always the closest mall. I have memories of going to the mall as a kid, driving their in high school when I first got my license, and now I even take my kids to the Santa near Christmas time. There are some great elements to the mall, and some things that I wish were improved. On the good side, Westfarms has a great selection of stores. Many of my favorites, including Brooks Brothers and Tommy Bahama, have shops at the mall. It is a bit more of a high-end mall than others in the area, but there is a good variety of stores at different price points. There have been a ton of new stores coming in over the past few years as well that have improved the selection even more. On the downside, for a mall of this size and quality, the food options could be better. There are some chain restaurants and quick-stop places, but I always feel like they could have much better options. There is some good news on the horizon though, as Shake Shack is apparently moving in across the street (where Sears used to be). All in all, I definitely recommend Westfarms for shopping at almost any price point. read more
