It's very festive this time of year! Christmas music is piped through speakers throughout the property, lots of lights, a huge Christmas tree (because who wants to go all the way to NYC!), and a large fire pit to warm up by. Plus, Dude's donuts is right there by the fire so stop in for a hot beverage. Great place to stroll around & just enjoy.

Awesome outside shopping

My friend's aunt suggested we check out shopping center. I am so glad she did! We were lucky to have nice weather this past weekend. What better place to walk around and shop. This shopping center is peppered with high end stores with your traditional mall doll stores like Claire's and Justice. There is something for everyone. Plenty of choices for food. Just a really gorgeous walk on a nice day. I love dogs and I met so many that day. This place is very dog friendly. Parking can get tight on the weekend. We were lucky to find a spot in an over flow parking lot. My favorite part is the cozy fire pit outside of Ben and Jerry's. It was magical to just chill out and talk in front of the fire. Def check out this shopping center if you are in CT! FYI - Bonefish Grill is closed there.

HUGE fan of Evergreen Walk. It's a great place to stroll around during the warm weather months. Many of the stores are higher end, which is nice. They have some of my favorite stores, like Banana Republic, Williams-Sonoma and LL Bean. They also have Bellini's and Burton's for dinning which are super yummy! I feel blessed to have this "mall" in town.

It seems the thing that has been given the best face-lift here is the name. Driving around the…read moreoutside you can see numerous businesses that have closed and not been replaced, including a Sears, what looked like a Ruby Tuesday's or some similar restaurant, and a Bob's (wow!). You can see many additional empty stores as you walk around on the inside. On the plus side, it's very clean inside, and the stores that are here are still nice and varied. It's a pleasant place to shop if they have what you're seeking (which, fortunately for me, they did). The outside parking area is huge, and the outside of the access road tends to have new big box stores and hotels. As empty as it is, I've seen worse, and I've also seen other malls and shopping centers bounce back from worse, so perhaps there's still hope here.

This huge mall is also known as Buckland Hills Mall. It opened in 1990 and has about 145 stores…read more It's in a convenient location near the highway. There are two levels and parking was plentiful. The anchor stores are Macy's, JCPenney, Barnes and Noble, to name a few. They have plenty of restaurants and fast food in the food court. There's a carousel which reminded me of Warwick Mall in RI; however it was $5 per ride which is pretty pricey. My toddlers loved the play area; for some reason, that area was super hot when we went. The mall also reminded me of Aventura mall in Florida. I've never seen a tattoo shop in a mall but they have that. They also have a dentist office, hair salon, nail salon, spa, and eyebrow salon. A hotel is nearby. I loved that they had a dollar store in there too. You can pretty much spend a couple of hours there and it has most of your lifestyle needs. The perfect place to walk around in when it's too hot , too cold, raining, and/or snowing out. The place wasn't too crazy packed either, so it was an enjoyable experience.
