Compared to what I recall, the arcade feels somewhat empty, and many of the stores are now closed. Even so, it was intriguing to revisit and relive parts of the past. The building has a lot of beauty and personality; all I can hope is that more businesses will eventually come back and revitalize this special Pasadena location.

This Vons is one of their larger locations. Wide aisles and great selections. Their liquor and wine selection is top notch. Chase Bank is also located here and has a big footprint facing Colorado Boulevard entrance. There are a number of stores along the driveway coming in off of Colorado Boulevard entrance. There are food, hair salon, nail salon, juice bar, UPS Store. I've tried the boutique to go / dine in restaurants that are located here and they are all about quality and flavor. There's also a dentist located here. On their website they have a directory. It is very inclusive and you will be surprised at the number of small stores, offices, and food establishments located in this area. The parking situation is unique. As you come in from either Sierra Madre or Colorado Boulevard there is parking immediately as you enter. What a lot of people don't realize is there is a second floor parking area. The ramp is located between Vons and the small businesses on the west side of the location. There is also an entrance off of Walnut Avenue. This is just North of the Vons store.That parking area is very convenient. I've always been able to find parking and there is an elevator to take you to the main floor of the Vons grocery store. Not only is Pasadena Plaza filled with great stores and convenient parking, it also gives you a chance to get some good footsteps in. Very few places can accomplish more than one thing per visit. With proper scheduling you can save time and gas coming to Pasadena Plaza.

Space was nice and clean. Lots of tables and chairs for hanging out with family and friends. What a great place to chill and relax! Hope they will get new tenants to fill the vacancies soon. The first thing that caught my eye were the charred mountains. Next, were buildings being reconstructed everywhere. It was heart wrenching. At the same time, it was hopeful. So many signs around Pacific Palisades are about being resilient. There are also mirrored sculptures that talk about being broken, but still here, still together. The reconstructed Village is elegant, clean, and beautiful. It truly feels like a welcome. You can tell that a great deal of effort was put into making this a celebration. So much was free: parking, food, drinks, postcards, keychain charms, even a lawn chair. There was a surprise jet formation flyby. It was my first time seeing a robotic dog in person. It was so weird. I wish they would put a head on it. It freaked at least one big, fluffy real dog the heck out. It freaked me out a little, too. They had guest speakers like Elyse Walker and Caruso himself, but it was too crowded for me to see anything and at one point the speakers cut out, so I couldn't hear anything either. As a result, most visitors just started chatting with each other. "Did your house burn down?" "Are you rebuilding?" "I'm glad things are starting to look hopeful again." If anything, that's what this reopening represented: Hope, rebirth, optimism. Update: I went back for the 8pm event where we didn't know what we were going to see. All they said was that it would blow our minds and it did. They had guests like Anthony Hopkins, Kate Hudson, OneRepublic's Ryan Tedder, and American Idol's Pia Toscano, along with a full orchestra and a drone show. Plus, the stage looked like a mini Hollywood Bowl, but everyone was close to the stage.
