My poor flilipina mother must have been so disappointed in her son that eats nothing from the ocean when her own father would use his own hands and tools to get his 8 children food from the ocean. Yes - it smells like fish here. We call it the Filipino Chuck because there is a Chuck E Cheese here and a Jolibee. We love riding the furry animals around the mall and then have some Chuck to close our shopping with. There's a bakery here i get pandisol from. Mmmmm. Sometimes someone is singing karaoke to prove they sell a karaoke machine and it reminds me of any holiday gathering (if there is one older filipina lady at your gatheringand a mic. The dollar king is top. Therr are claw machines here. One real estate lady sells peanuts with garlic in it. Mmmmm. It's another dying mall. There's a fitness 19, market, and miscellaneous discount shops that don't have very good pricing. Outside there's a section of the parking lot closed off, in the "employee lot" there's equipment and fixtures piled up and left outside. I guess for locals who have a gym membership can workout and then go down to seafood city to buy groceries. I don't find this plaza appealing at all. I don't think I'll ever come back read more

Wow this place still exists! I remember it from my childhood. I'm really surprised it is still around considering nicer malls have closed. I came here for the Chuck E. Cheese and was pleasantly surprised by how big it was inside! I don't remember this mall having a Chuck E. Cheese when I was a child. I remember a Macy's which has closed and left that side empty. The mall does smell like seafood thanks to seafood city which is not enticing for a mall. I didn't get a chance to check out any of the other stores but likely will come back for the Chuck E. I love this mall because it's small and has enough for you to shop. I miss the Macys located at this mall but overall, it's still cool without it. The service is good, the staff is always nice and the prices are reasonable for shopping. Nice Filipino eateries and sushi. Great selection of choices. This plaza used to be great. Haven't been here for over 10 years and things have changed. Most of the stores are closed. Target, Seafood City Market, Jolibee, a few clothing stores, and Chuck E Cheese's. Service is okay. Didn't buy anything. Underground parking is available as well as upper level parking. read more

Not a mall to go to for lounging, sightseeing, etc. Now this plaza has become more of a place for people to do errands at. The Macy's closed down, marking the change of pace in shopping habits consumers do here. It used to occupy an entire side of the mall, and the closure has now left that area dusted and abandoned. The Seafood city market is what my family and I mainly go here for; fresh fish, Filipino food, rice, etc. There is a local gym upstairs on the second floor that I see lots of people head to. A Target occupies the other side of the mall, and it receives good business and shoppers as well. In terms of restaurants to eat at, there's just the Seafood City: Grill City Filipino fast food spot, Jolibee, and Chowking now. Nail salon near the front entrance is always active, as well as an eyebrow/face threading/hair salon upstairs. A couple other retail clothes stores and phone provider stores are still around. Chuck E Cheese is still active on the second floor. But overall the liveliness of the place has significantly gone down, there needs to be a revampment here to make the plaza trendier. - lots of free parking - lack of public bathrooms (only Target and Seafood city) read more

Having been to this mall a couple times in fifteen years, I'm fairly shocked it's still in business. It has all the features of a dying mall: empty storefronts, few kiosks and generally dilapidated appearance. The Eagle Rock Plaza first opened in 1973. It was quite popular due to the inclusion of big-name department stores, trendy shops, and family friendly restaurants, such as Bob's Big Boy, all under one roof. Over the years the mall has gone downhill. Most of the big names have left. Occasionally, I go there to pick up something from Target and recently paid a visit to Valerio's Tropical Bakeshop. Glancing at the directory I noticed there was an AT&T, T-Mobile, Jollibee, & Chuck E Cheese. Seafood City Supermarket occupies a big space on the lower level. I've heard they have good deals on seafood and carry a wide selection of Filipino products. The parking lot is large with ample parking, which is convenient. read more

Half the mall is empty and the other half-which is just the Target alone-has half empty shelves half of the time. Just depressing. And I have no idea what they keep in the back because it stinks like hell, no wonder there are so many roaches that come out at night in the back of the mall. read more

This mall is okay, what really holds it up is the Target, Jollibee, and Seafood City, there's a few clothing shops and a Dollar King. They also have a recycling plant, there used to be a Macy's and back in the day a movie theater...maybe they should bring that back. Other than that, this place is pretty dead. read more

There are some hand sanitizers available for customers to use throughout the mall/plaza. This mall has establishments that are available for take outs and has some indoor seating available with limited capacity. They are not sanitizing high touch areas at all and frequently. COVID-19 Vaccination Proof: This establishment currently does not require proof of vaccination. While I was window shopping in this mall several days ago, I asked if they allow pets in their mall. The security guard said no, unless it's a service animal Parking: The parking lot for this establishment is massive. There is an underground parking lot and a above ground parking lot. When you see the big signs of Chuck E. Cheese, Macy's and Target, you would think that it is your typical American mall. However, if you'll enter the mall through the middle sliding doors from the lower level parking lot, you will be surprised to see all the stores offering goods and services from the Philippines. Upon entry, you will first notice Jollibee, a Filipino fast-food chain selling Chickenjoy, Jolly Spaghetti, Palabok and Yumburgers. Across from it is the Chowking Restaurant where you can get noodles, congee and dimsum. Craving for some lechon? Head to the newly opened restaurant, Rick's. Lee Lin Bakery offers cakes, cookies, pastries and breads. They also offer buffet breakfast on weekends. And of course, you won't miss Seafood City, a major grocery chain specializing in Filipino staples which include hard to find fruits and vegetables, either fresh or frozen. Where else can you go that has a Target, Macy's, Chuck E. Cheese's, Jollibee, Valerio's, Chow King, seafood city + Grill City, fitness 19 gym, dollar king, and new sushi spot all in one location? I'm inclined to think nowhere else they also have other stores as well .. a vape shop, a little Japanese themed store, LBC. It's great coming here because you can get multiple things done in one trip. Is it an older building? Sure, but talk about convenience. This little plaza is not the best looking plaza and if it's your first time visiting, you may find this plaza a little iffy, but don't turn your cheek. Inside this plaza they have really good food and nice little shopping places for you and the family. The reason why I felt this place is only a 3 star plaza is because a lot of people come here and there's plenty of business, so why don't they upkeep the place. With the amount of people coming in and out to give the plaza business, I think they could keep this place a little more tidier to bring other demographics in the area other than the typical demographics already coming. You'll never have problems with finding parking as there's plenty of room, and the plaza is located in an okay neighborhood, I just wish it was more inviting so we didn't have to feel like we're visiting some underground facility. Once you get past all your feelings, definitely try the food inside, you won't be disappointed. You'll find it wasn't so bad after all. read more

Yes, it is an old and outdated mall. I will age myself, when they had theaters, I watched 1984 Red Dawn with Patrick Swayze, here. However, Chow King, Jolibee, & Seafood City Supermaket, the trifecta for Filipinos in LA, makes it a "go to" destination when I visit my parents. There is so much potential here, but I've been thinking this for many decades. On the other hand, I am kind of happy not much has changed about this mall. There is a certain charm to coming to the Eagle Rock Plaza. Having Target here was most likely one of the best things to occur here years ago. The Target here is nicely situated and it doesn't feel so weird to see them here at a Shopping Mall. The shops still remaining are eclectic and interesting. They are not so much your traditional storefronts. The Seafood City Market certain adds to the flavor and smells. On busy holidays, Eagle Rock is a great alternative to avoiding some of the crowds that may congregate at Macy's. There is also a Chuck E Cheese here if you need to stash some rugrats. (Just kidding) The parking is always a much less challenge also compared to others. No pretentious valet here too, and the plaza here is conveniently located next to the 2 Freeway. read more

I don't know if I came in here at the wrong time because the plaza was soooo crowded. There was a Filipino Food Event - EAT. PLAY. MOVE. at the parking area next to Target which was also a horrendous. I don't know how it's 70% parking lot and still there is still no parking for everyone who comes in. Everyone's honking at each other. It took us 20 minutes to go in and what felt like an hour to get out. The plaza itself has nothing special. There's seafood city, Jollibee, a nail salon, T-Mobile, Target, Rick's - which is another place that deserves a review of its own. If you need to shop and or do groceries, save yourself and find a different plaza. I'm honestly surprised that people actually waste their time here. There's not much to do, not many nice people, and takes forever to go out. read more

Eagle Rock Plaza was like a me no speakee english mall. I am not a Target fan but appreciate it being in this mall. Macy's is on the opposite end. There's no Gap. There's a Chuck E Cheese and Jollibee's to say the least, but if I were seeking to eat... Rick's and ChowKing would be it. Also, there's a supermarket, dollar store and travel agent in the middle of the mall. They have a church or ministry at the mall next to classes for martial arts. Clothes and food are cheap but I know why with the cost of handmade holiday decorations from overseas. Save here, spend there. read more

Eagle Rock Plaza. AKA Filipino Town. Not your typical mall. How can you not love this mall. It's in a great location and very convenient. This is the one mall that has a Target, Seafood City Market, Macy's, and a Chuck E Cheese all in one roof. They also have diverse collections of little stores such as Just a Bargain, Sanrio, Cali, and Rue21 to little booths/stands that sell prepaid calling cards to Filipino movies and karaoke. Craving Filipino food? Then stop by Goldilocks, Chow King, or Jollibee. Goldilocks also has some good Filipino baked goods to satisfy your sweet tooth. Yummy! Parking is huge so you will have no problem finding a spot. Overall, great little plaza. It will take you back to the Philippines, LITERALLY!! read more

I hadn't notice the name back to Eagle Rock Plaza! It's struggling to stay open from what I can tell, always lots of parking, that alone is a big negative! The name had been Westfields mall for a while but if you were raised around the area it's name has and will be Eagle Rock Plaza! The Australian company that purchased this property finally came back to their senses! It just got super ghettofied over the years! There's a Chuck E. Cheese where there was once a Theater! I'm talking years ago! Apparently someone thought it was a good idea to put a seafood market in the middle of the mall! All this makes the Macy's in here just look cheap, like it doesn't belong! Location is great! Right of the 2 and the 134! (Yes, that's how I know my freeways, not by the name :D) This place needs an emergency makeover! I hope it doesn't close down! I scanned through some of the other reviews for this place, and couldn't help noticing a lot of comments about the smell in here(??) and the massive arrival of filipinos and the general decline of an apparently once-glorious shopping mecca. Hmm... here's what I think about that: Bring it on. I haven't lived around the area long enough to know about any Bob's Big Boy or whatever, so I guess I don't have the perspective of "omg look at how low Eagle Rock Plaza has gone." All I know is that, as many others have pointed out, it looks like somewhere along the line, the pinoys and pinays descended on the bottom floor of this plaza like a horde and succeeded in liberating it from whatever shops used to call it home. Hey that's awesome. Cause Panorama City is too far for me to have to drive to get some shrimp chips. Just kidding; I actually don't like shrimp chips. But I do like longanisa. And mango spears from the RP. And fucking pork fat. And "all-day breakfast" from Chow King. So bring it on, man. Furthermore, this plaza has the closest Target to where I currently live. Do I care if over 75% of the other folks I'm working my bulging shopping cart around are filipino or mexican? Nope! Why? Beause I'm more concerned about getting cheap toilet paper than bemoaning the great white flight from an Eagle Rock mall. In short, I love this place. I personally don't come here for a glamorous shopping experience or to check out girls (and even if I did, the influx of colored women would be a plus for me, not a minus). I come in my fucking hoodie and baseball cap and leave with a bunch of Target bags and "smelly" fish (bangus for those who are down) in a takeout container hanging from my arms. Honestly, I think this place rocks. It has seriously been revived since the days it served as Avril Lavigne's music video backdrop. Now Glee used this place to film their mall scenes. If you're not Filipino, you'd only come here for Target, Macys, and maaaaaybe for Seafood City. But I love everything about this mall. It's small, not too big, and kitschy.I can usually find everything I want here. Parking isn't atrocious, even during the holidays. If I'm craving Filipino fast food, I know this is just a drive down the CA-2. No, there isn't anything high-end about this mall. But you'll find all you need here. I've been here multiple times over the years, so it's "fun" comparing how this place used to be and how it is now. The parking lot is massive, but everyone parks on the covered ground level. Eagle Rock Plaza has heavy Filipino influence since it is known to be a community center for the Pinoy community of Northeast LA. This is obvious from the presence of Jollibee, Chowking, Valerio's Bakery, Leelin's Bakery, Grill City, Crispy Town, and Rick's among other Filipino establishments. There are also international shipping companies and the famous O Skin Care & O Skin Med Spa clinic owned by Olivia Quido. Yes, there's an open floor Seafood City in this shopping center. I'm personally not bothered by the smell of meat or fish, but then again, I'm used to those types of markets. The anchor stores are Macy's and Target--that's it. It's convenient for those who leave nearby, but there is really no "shopping" culture or experience to be found here. In short, you pretty much come to Eagle Rock Plaza for two things: 1) Filipino food and/or 2) Macy's/Target. read more

Nothing really to say. Doesn't feel exciting like a mall should feel. I only go for Jollibee and Seafood City... and sometimes Target. Many storefronts are empty and feels like a ghost town. Anchor stores are Target, Seafood City and Macy's. I'm sure at one time, this mall was the place to go...I hope it can attract some well-known stores soon...it seems like it could do really well considering the size and layout. Tackiest mall ever. But I used to get a kick outta shopping here back in high school for a change of pace from the Galleria. You can grab a churro (though I hear now you can grab some decent Filipino grub here as well), take a few goofy pix with friends in their photo booth, and spend some time browsing what are mostly "filler" stores at other malls. Most of the businesses/brands you've never heard of in your life, including lots of stingy Korean-owned Forever 21-wannabe stores that sell bargain trendy LA Fashion District crap and of course, essential 15-year-old-hoochie-clubbing-with-a-fake-ID outfits. Another amusing facet about this mall is their shabby movie theater, where you can catch up on really old movies that are no longer playing and already out on DVD. If you go now, you can probably still catch Titanic and The 40 Year-Old Virgin. read more
