We went there on a saturday for date night. We entered the bar and as we walked in the female bartender started giving us dirty looks. I asked for a drink and she looked at me like i was crazy. I love this place. I think that the bartenders are very friendly and as far as I have seen attractive and sociable. That is why I like to go to neighborhood bars. I travel a lot and see a lot of great neighborhood bars, this one stands out. My only beef is $6.50 for a small shot of Jack Daniels is a bit much. But, $2.00 16 OZ cans of Bud Light (happy hour?) sort of makes up for it...sort of. Still great people come in and are obviously locals, I have always been treated well here even though I've only been a few times. read more

Greed over less tips resist adding more help... There's enough ppl buying booze to support the increase in manpower! The regular creepy drunks embarrass themselves often and it's overlooked because, "...it's so and so, and he's just like that." Don't let a groupon steer you here or order the burger and fries,they will Screw THAT up and then laugh it off. Avoid grandmas bland leftovers, canned chili dogs and shitty manwich tacos! No words to express the gratitude and love this place showed my boyfriend on his 40th birthday. We had dinner and i chose this place for an after dinner fun night and boy it was. Since bar rescue shot exchange formerly known as tailgate has maintained their newer nicer environment. Their newest DJ Cynful is straight out of Hollywood, Vegas, and New York. I've never seen so many people pack onto the dance floor like that in a long time until she started DJing. The bar may no longer be a sports bar but at least you can go there have some drinks eat and dance the night away! read more

Put one star only because there's no zero option. Husband came in around 2pm...he was the only person. Sat at the bar and Instead of placing the paper placemat and silverware in front of him, the waitress placed it a couple of places away from him. Ordered a Coors light in a bottle and it was warm. Told the waitress and she argued that the beer was in the freezer this morning and it should be cold. Ordered a draft hoping it would be cold. She took the almost full bottle of Coors and dumped it out and poured a Coors from draft which was not cold either. Ordered chicken strips and fries. The bill was 23$ and gave a $4 tip. (Did the right thing but will NEVER be back). By the way, waitress charged for both warm beers. Jeeeezus. This place is horrible. read more

I use to come here back when it was the Tailgate and they've shown vast improvement. The music can be loud at times but the food and service is much better than what it use to be. I no longer live in the area but look forward to returning as I do return once every few months. I look forward to my next visit. read more

One of the funnest bars around hands down, definitely not a dive! Happy Hour every day what more can I say. More on the younger side compared to most other bars in SCV I've been to. I went on a Friday night, it was just like a club but with no cover charge and I was wearing flip flops LOL. The dj was really good, mostly hip hop and some electro, the dance floor was full. The place is as big as a studio apartment but the DJ must have thought he was at Dodgers Stadium because the music was blaring so loud it literally hurt my ears. I don't know why people say bad things about this bar, i go there every weekend to chill and dance and i have fun every time. I never run into losers unless you attract them. The bartenders are always sweet and beautiful. I have never got a drink that's not strong. I can drink two and will feel good. You never have to spend a lot of money to have fun there. Came here for the Lakers game last Friday, good happy hour prices on beer, friendly bartenders, I never had to ask for a refill, they were on it. Recently stopped by this place. I moved to the other end of town and haven't been here since it was under the old ownership. First I was surprised because the bartenders are just as nice and just a cute as the old place. I was also surprised because it was still happy hour at almost 8pm on a Friday night. DJ started around 9 and played most of the newer top 40 stuff and some old school mixed in, overall good music. Was pleasantly surprised at 10pm they served 2 for 1 domestic schooners for only 5 bucks. By this time crowds were filing in and a few people were beginning to dance, would have loved to stay but it was time to call a cab lol. You owe it to yourself to at least check this place out. I wanted a place that had great atmosphere, good food and drinks for a Surprise Birthday Party for my wife......Gave the owner a call and he got everything set up for me. The owner and the staff had everything set up ready to go before the guest arrived. The place was decorated nicely and they had the appetizers out and ready.....Once the guest arrived, the waitresses took drink orders and had them delivered. The owner kept checking on everything making sure we had everything we needed and took care of anything we asked for.....All thru the night the waitresses kept the drinks coming and the cook kept the food flowing. You got to try their Lamb Sliders......wow.....All the food was great. There are 50 different shots you can try and I think my group hit half of them.... Our family and friends had a great time....Lots of Laughing, Dancing and Drinking.....A great party with Great Service... Special Thanks to the Owners and their staff. What DJ on this earth #1 when you request a song or 2 tells you he doesn't have it and #2, plays the same song 5 times in one night!! That means he sucks...I have the song I am requesting on my phone Mr. DJ....what the fuck do you mean you don't have it!! GET RID OF HIM!!! FIND ANOTHER! Driving around on a Sunday looking for sport bars out of our area, because there is none in Fillmore. Found this one on Yelp, stopped to check it out, it was actually a pretty cool lil hole in the wall place. Has 1 pool table, 2 dart board games, a few TV's w/the games on, music is off while games are on....which is kind of nice, had a free little lunch buffet. People were cool n friendly, even the bartenders. Prices were reasonable, would for sure go back. Don't know how it is Friday or Saturday but Sunday was nice n chill. read more
