We just celebrated a 39th birthday party here yesterday and had such a great experience! The venue was clean, spacious, and really fun for a group celebration. Everything was well organized and the staff made us feel welcome right away. The food was amazing--the wings, cheese sticks, and pretzel bites were huge hits with everyone at the party. You can tell the kitchen cares about what they're putting out. Chef Angel was especially friendly and professional, and it was clear he takes pride in the food. The service was excellent too. Chris and the bartenders/servers were quick, attentive, and super friendly, even with a big group. Drinks were coming out fast and everyone felt taken care of. Overall the whole place was clean, accommodating, and just a really fun atmosphere for a birthday celebration. My first time visiting The Break Room, and I'm sure I'll be back. This is a large, nicely-maintained pool room with assorted other games available (darts and such), a great digital jukebox system, and plenty of TV's playing sports. The decor is "industrial," but it's clean and airy, so there's no sense of being in a "dive" -- in fact, this is a family-friendly place, and I saw some youngish couples playing pool on what seemed to be afternoon dates. The physical bar is relatively small, with only about 8-12 seats, but that's because they're keeping as much space open as possible for game play. The staff was friendly and chatty, and seemed quite intent on making sure everyone had everything they needed. The menu is wider and more interesting than one would expect in a pool hall environment, with creative pizzas, burgers, sandwiches and salads promising a more unique and memorable meal than the average hangout. I opted to try the Pastrami Pizza: a traditional tomato and mozzarella pie topped with what they call "mustard fried pastrami," onions, chopped pickles, and a drizzle of yellow mustard. It's a good-sized pizza, larger than a true individual pie, and enough for 2 people to share. The pastrami was savory without being too salty, while the pickles, onions and mustard all added nice pops of flavor without feeling like a gimmick. My one disappointment was that the pizza was not prepared well-done as requested, making the crust more doughy than crisp. Also, the temperature in the venue was darn near frigid, so my pizza got cold very quickly, which reduced my ability to enjoy it as much as I would have if the pie had been piping hot. Other food being enjoyed in close proximity to me looked and smelled very good (wings and burgers), and like I said, the people were all top notch hosts. So, while the final pizza prep could use some improvement, I think these folks are doing a very good job of making bar food that's more interesting and memorable than you'll find anywhere else in the area. The break room was such a surprise highlight of my weekend spent up in Santa Clarita. When my friend suggested coming here for dinner, I was kind of confused. However, after spending a full night there hanging out, having fun, I see why she wanted to show me this place. Everything between the vibe, to the food, to the drinks, to the friendly people there; made it an amazing experience from start to finish. The portion size here are huge so we were able to share everything! We got a folded sandwich the turkey hamwich, their TBR burger, spicy turkey n' bacon melt, and their wings Amy's way, and wow. Everything was cooked too perfection, extremely flavorful and it came out very fast. Amazing service. After dinner, we stayed because the DJ was playing absolute bangers!!!!! The bar staff all were so kind and friendly. I never felt more welcome from staff like that before. They have this super cool menu of cocktails that are inspired by the pool balls numbers! I was able to tried them all, and the number 5 ball Whiskey Sour is my personal favorite! A close second is their Break, Run, Repeat cocktail! Definitely give those a try. We got to play both pool and darts. Their tables are in such nice condition, well taking care of and they are all diamond tables. The break room gave me a amazing night out with my friends. I never been to a place like this before. I can't think of one negative thing to say, my visit here was pure fun. Love The Break Room - I've been here a few times with family and most recently with my 16-year-old son. I love that, even though it's sort of bar-centric, it's also family-friendly with good food and fun for all of us. The pool tables are full size and lots of fun with a good amount of space between each one so not too bad to play when it's crowded at the adjacent tables. I love that servers help you at the tables as opposed to having to go to the bar to order. Our server was very personable and took great care of us. The food is surprisingly good. The Margarita pizza is among the best we have in Santa Clarita (which up until this month has mostly been a wasteland of mediocre pizza.) The crust is perfect Neapolitan style and it's very easy to devour a whole pie. This is not just token food so you have something to eat while playing pool. It's really good. The crinkle cut fries are also cooked perfectly and kind of addicting. (I may need to enter a program...) The bar is well stocked. I tried a shot Fernet-Branca which was not my favorite, but it was certainly a unique experience to have and got me excited about what else may be offered. A new spot for me. They've been in business for a couple years. The Menu is diverse the Beer selection adequate. Best part they offer and support some delicious Locally Brewed Craft Brews. Stopped by the Break Room on a whim two weekends ago. I can't tell you how happy I am that I made that decision. Was looking for somewhere different to go in Santa Clarita and while driving around Main St and noticed four TVs in front at the bar. Decided to go in and have a drink and watch the game. Three hours later, realized it was an overall blast. While I didn't play pool, there were a lot of tables. Some you can rent for a private event. I did order food and I have to say it was definitely elevated bar food. They make a nice margarita pizza. The staff were all very friendly and the reason why is the owner Josh. What a good personable friendly dude. Josh was great and I loved sharing our joined obsession of tequila with him. Speaking of tequila, they have a couple of bottles that you just don't find in Santa Clarita all the time. Megan was our bartender and once she cold called what I was drinking, she had won me over. There are not many bars in Santa Clarita & the ones that they do have aren't super friendly and just feel a little grungy and the staff just doesn't care. That's just not the case at The Break Room. It is clean, welcoming, has seriously the world's best chicken fingers. The people who work there are kind, and communicative, and really give amazing service. I don't get out much since my daughter is so young, but whenever I go out, this spot is my first recommendation. Last night, I brought a friend with me (her first time) and we had such an awesome evening. We had the chicken fingers and the jalapeño poppers which were both absolutely fantastic. Hayley was our server and she was so friendly and was fun to chat with. She looks like Sarah Hyland and is hilarious and so sweet. We tried the cinnamon sugar twists for dessert & they were a little undercooked, but they were so apologetic and had the owner come over and offer us something on the house. We were full by then (the cooked part of the cinnamon twirls was AMAZING by the way- I'll be trying them again) but it was a really nice offer! Josh, the owner, is so friendly and cares about his business and community. This was my first time here. I was greeted very warmly by the staff behind the bar. The Atmosphere was current and hip. It's a Sports Bar, so there are TVs in every corner and in the middle. After such a great day previously spent at The Break Room, I decided to go back and have a few drinks. Chris was my mixologist. I ordered another Top Shelf Cadillac Margarita. Chris shared the bad news with me, they were out of Grand Marnier. Chris asked me if I was willing to let him put something together to replace it with. I was all in. After he put in 4 different splashes of liquor, he was finished. I took my first sip and the clouds opened up, this drink was a mixologist special to say the least. My goodness, Chris slammed this drink to perfection. I was so impressed. It tasted so much better with his mixologist concoction. I was throughly impressed. I ordered a Buffalo Chicken Wrap w/Jalapeños. Again, The Break Room didn't disappoint. The wrap was thick, very flavorful, the chicken filets were tender, and the wrap was super delicious. A new pool hall with great food and friendly staff? What more could you ask for! I've been here multiple times and have tried all the food and it's fantastic. I've had the smash burgers, the pizza (they have a pizza oven) and even the fryer food and it was all delicious. The smash burgers are def my favorite, but all the food is amazing. The drink selection is nice and their in house cocktails are expertly prepared. But let's get to the main attraction, the pool! They have a lot of tables and 2 larger tables in the back. I'm not a big pool guy so I can't tell you the difference but the ambiance the owners have created is insanely nice. They even have a "neon" night with black lights and glowing balls for a different vibe. This is definitely one of the nicer spots than the regular dives in Santa Clarita and I'm sure to enjoy every visit back :) Cheers! read more

Just came into town from a long drive from Arizona. Got a hotel down the street looking for a cold beer after a long drive and a shot of tequila. Found the break room nice place love the concrete bar. First I felt that there is something going on with the two bartenders, took a minute to acknowledge that I was sitting at the bar. Finally got to order a large ultra and a shot of patron. Beer was good really cold big schooner. Shot of patron was right at the line. Took the edge off from that long drive. Finish those two beverages asked for my ticket to check out. Lo and behold that was an $18 shot of tequila patron. Little shocked on that one there was at least a $10 shot. Have a family owns bar and Grill on the Colorado river shots are eight bucks maybe 10 sometimes. But 18 look crazy. Anyways looks like a nice pool hall. read more

Shauri and Megan always make you feel at home and never cease to impress with their fast exceptional service (always with a loving smile) these two are definitely the foundation. Josh and Rick have made it their duty to make the environment safe, fun and clean for everyone of all ages (Families are always welcome within daytime hours). I've been here about six times now and I must say, each and every time the service and staff are just as amazing as the previous visit. The owners are really nice, knowledgeable and friendly. The location has pretty ample parking and the establishment is clean inside and out, with several tables to choose from. It definitely beats that typical dingy pool hall trope. The cocktails are pretty good, the food is also good quality. I've had a couple items on the menu and I really recommend the smash burger or mozzarella sticks. Service is fast too and the staff is super attentive. Do yourself a favor and check this place out, the prices are very reasonable as well. Came for the pool, stayed for the drinks. The Break Room is a pretty fun new spot in downtown newhall. It's got a nice vibe and pool with a couple of buddies is always a good time. What takes this from a 4 to a 5 star review is the staff and drinks. It was pretty busy when we were there but the bartender Meaghan was on top of it. Made us feel super welcome, joked around like we were family and remembered my drink from like 2 months ago. I usually stick to a classic old fashioned so I've had about 100 across the whole valley and let me tell you Meaghan nailed it, while being slammed. Impressive. Had a 50th bday party here in February. Setting it up with Emma was smooth and accommodating. The space was perfect and fun with many pool tables, tv's and a full bar. The food is bomb everyone enjoyed whatever they ordered. The highlight of our night was Megan, our rockstar server. She went above and beyond offering to help set up and checked on our guests non stop throughout the night! All in all, the Break Room is a perfect spot to chill and host an event. The servers are attentive and Mike one of the owners ensured we felt well cared for and welcomed! We both ordered a smash burger accompanied by some delicious fries (cooked just right)! There is a nice menu variety and the other food we saw on other patrons orders looked appetizing as well! There are pool tables and darts, several tv's going at the same time with sports and one I saw was showing a popular cop show. Initially upon walking in, we didn't care for the rap/hip hop music but it eventually changed to blues and Carlos Santana (that was nice). I'd like to see more of a soft jazz sound for my taste, but as it is a bar/food provided and social gathering, it's likely they try to reach a variety of clientele. This place has 3 Bullshooter boards!! It's online playing so you can play people at other bars...in other states...and other countries!!! The food is also amazing!!! Even though I have only had a pizza here...it is my first time here...It smelled amazing...was tasty...and the crust wasn't soggy...perfectly baked in their wood burning pizza oven!
