I was very excited to find this company. I had 40 pounds of junk mail and other documents that I would not feel comfortable just throwing out. I called ahead and was told that Friday is open to the public. The price to dispose your documents is 25 cents per pound. The transaction went very smoothly, customer service was beyond exceptional. I had a very kind young man help carry out the biggest box out of my vehicle. They weigh everything in your presence and give you a receipt and I later received a letter with a certificate of document disposal. My mistake - Not going with them from the beginning! They are amazing, efficient, professional and very responsive. They know how to run a business from the customer service rep Luis emailing me immediately after requesting a quote to responding when I was frustrated at a different company - Shred It - who kept screwing me over and Luis was empathetic and assured me that 'The Shredders' would get the job done to the driver being in contact with me the day of. Used other shredders before, but nothing beats the shredders, they really have their business together and secured. I like that not anyone just can go in and out without being noticed, the entire business is in lockdown and that is what i call security. The people there are awesome and make you feel that their is privacy in what we shred. The owner is very attentive and made sure i was 100% satisfied before my departure, i recommend this facility for their privacy and tight security. "Good morning, this is Marie with The Shredders. Do you need to schedule a pickup today?" I hear this cheery greeting at least twice a week. When it comes, it's usually the first phone call of the day. I hate mornings. I despise them. I used to wake up really early for high school, and I was never late. Not in four years. (That's not the case these days.) In short, I can wake up early, but I hate doing it. From Monday to Friday, I want to be busy with normal work right away or to be uninterrupted by incessant "Google, yes, Google" robocalls and real live-person phone calls about the most ridiculous things. But I make an exception for Marie, because she's always so nice, so consistent. So dogged. She makes me want to schedule a pickup, even if we don't need one--OK, so I've never scheduled an unneeded pickup, but if I did, it would be for Marie. Since The Shredders only serves our Southern California offices, I don't know what the bin-picker-uppers are like, how professional they are, or whether they are prompt. I do know we've never had an issue with billing, and Marie is easy to deal with when I do need to schedule a pickup--although I've always called her when that's happened. So keep destroying documents, The Shredders. And give Marie a raise. She deserves it. read more

These guys shred free 1st Saturday every month 8-10am, fyi. Called for a quote for my 3 40 gal bags of old docs I had in the back of my Yukon. Got a very reasonable quote of anything up to 10 boxes is $20. When I arrived, the iwner was there and said no charge. Bags werent full, I just pulled around to the dock, the worker put them in a lockbon for me, and I was done in 10 minutes back on the road. Pleasant people. I will definitely refer. Oh, and thety confetti, not just strip shred. Woo! read more

I had been looking for a good shredding place for a good while and I finally came across this amaizing place. Since it was my first time using this service I asked their staff Analy, (which by the way she was very kind and helpful) if I could witness the shredding process. Very professionally she answered yes and escorted me to their warehouse to witness the shredding. They used three big machines that left everything to the size of confetti.
