Silver Dahlia is an accessory store for women. It is so filled with all sorts of nicknacks, you will be overwhelmed if you don't know what you're looking for. You'll find jewelry, hair accessories, Christmas ornaments, clothing, candles, home decor and more. The more you walk around the more you'll discover of what they have here. They also have a sale section by the front in the corner. The girls who work here, were all involved in private conversations, none of them were helping any customers. If you were to ask them something, you'd have to interrupt their important conversation. There were a few locations of this store, but now there's just this one left. Fun store full of unique items! A great selection of gifts. I really enjoyed looking around and I love the things I bought!

Although it sounds like a florist, this is a fun gift type shop full of non essential objects of desire. You come here for things you want, but not things one needs. Think unique jewelry and those trendy Vera Bradley bags. Lots of knick knacks and cool seasonal items. For example,since we own a boat, I love the nautical themed items. Over the years I've certainly received some lovely gifts from here, and it's a particular haunt of my considerate teenage son for Mother's Day & my birthday gifts. They will custom make up charm bracelets and necklaces with symbols unique to the recipient. There's a warm place in my heart for this place because of the sentimentality. It's a smallish well kept shop in a nice location. Instead of heading to the mall next time you need a gift for your favorite gal, stop in. It's a less commercial alternative to the Hallmark in town. I've loved shopping here randomly for years, recently though every time I've come into the Glastonbury location there's a tall woman there that is very short and passive aggressive. I've witnessed it enough to write a review... she ignored the store phone ringing the entire time, this was on the 11th. Aswell as rushing out two older lady's and not being very helpful. I felt super uncomfortable this time so I left and decided I will stick to online shopping! read more

I love the Place it is an Awesome little gift shop chock full of great items to purchase for the birthday girl or something special for your self. They do carry Vineyard Vines for the guys but other wise than that this is heaven for girls & women....Sorry Boys. Great selection of Alex & Ani and other hip jewelry brands. If it's popular they probably carry it. Love coming here to get birthday gifts for my girlfriends or just to get something new for me.....when the hubby sees the shopping bag he's always like "Oh No, How much did you spend....UGH!" This is my favorite gift shop in Glastonbury. The girls who work here are so sweet and so helpful. They have awesome brands and lovely little gifts. I especially like their jewelry collection: everything from Alex and Ani to Pure Vida, etc. they also carry Jack Rogers and Vineyard Vines. Their staff and owner are the most caring and considerate people! They are always willing to help and know the ins and outs of everything they recommend! Great selection of everything - Xmas gifts for everyone of all ages. Plus there was some great stuff which I found for myself. The sales associate was very helpful even with several other customers in the store at the same time. She did a great job multitasking and providing exceptional service to all of us at once. Nice little gift shop. One wall is all jewelry, nothing fancy just Alex and Ani and other suburban mom jewelry since Pandora is sooo 2006 ;). They have a good sized Vera Bradley section as well if that's your thing. They have a handful of other interesting gifts and a small selection of kids stuff. I have only been a customer for a few months. Didn't even know what the store was about even though I went next door a lot for haircuts for my boys. My teen daughter asked me one day if I could go to the silver dahlia for her to pick up one of those Alex and Annie charm bracelets. I was in shock when I walked in. They have so many things to choose from. From jewelry to make up bags n scarves. The store was supper clean and everything was nicely placed for easy viewing. I went in for one bracelet and ended up leaving with a bag full of things for myself. I like to go in at least once every two weeks to see the new merchandise they have. It is a MUST stop in and look for yourself store. You will be amazed at all the pretty and cool things they have to offer at a very reasonable price! I give 5 stars!! read more

The store is beautiful in the new location. Thoughtful merchandising and gorgeous, diverse gift selections. If only the staff would match the atmosphere. I was in this store with several other customers. The employees greeted no one and stayed behind the counter, involved in their own conversations. A customer asked a question and the employee didn't even smile while showing her to the right location - and then quickly returned behind the counter. Even more disappointing was the gossip they were sharing that was easy to over hear - saying childish, catty things about friends and acquaintances. I did not want my daughter to overhear that type of discussion, so we quickly left and shopped at The Paper Store instead where we received professional, courteous customer service. Really want to support a local business but the way customers are treated, and the lack of professionalism, is unacceptable. Very disappointed. read more
