Ask the Community - The Sk8

What does it cost to get in and rent skates?

The Sk8 has been closed for quite a few years now. There is another Skating Rink in Sparta called "Warrior Skate Center". I am unsure on the cost, however, it may be on their website. :)

Genuinely one of our favorite spots in Nashville. Every time we have someone visiting from out of…read moretown we recommend a visit here. It truly feels like taking a step back in time, and a place to connect outside of the realm of social media. With old style arcade games, backyard fun like giant jenga, fun bar food and drinks you truly can find something for everyone. The staff is always very kind and it will remain a staple in our rotation.

So this was actually a super fun night. We went on a Thursday and got there about 5:30. It's free…read moreto enter and about half of all of the games in the building are free to play. Classic video games like Pac-Man that kind of stuff. There are tons of pinball machines which you have to pay to play. Most of them are one token but there's one special one that's five tokens. One token=$1. There's also a bunch of outside patio games that you can play. We actually came because they were playing bingo, which is also free to play and it was really fun. Started at 7:00 and had actual prizes that you could win. We got a gift card for five dollars that you could use for food or drinks. The french fries at this arcade/bar. We're actually some of the best I've had in a long time you can tell they're definitely fresh cut and cooked when they order them. I had the chipotle burger, and it was really good and one of my party had the mushroom Swiss burger and loved it and we also got the nachos. It's a little bit more expensive than a casual sit down, but the atmosphere was fun. Wheelchair accessibility: everything was really open and there was a nice long steady ramp up to the front door. There was a zero rise entry and the bathroom was pretty good. The soap was a little bit high. There is no seating that is not barstool height in the front where the bingo was and so that would be difficult, but there is some seating on the patio that's accessible. The games are all old-school cabinet style games and so it would be a little bit high for someone in a traditional wheelchair.
