I have been a client of Johanah's since 2016 and I honestly don't know if I could trust anyone else with my skin. At the start of 2016 I decided that I need to see an aesthetician. As a teenager I suffered from horrible acne. I used every topical medication and went through two rounds of accutane (side not: don't even do accutane). My parents spent countless amount of money to help my skin and it kinda worked. As I got older my skin fluctuated but overall my acne was more under control and then bam adult cystic acne. I couldn't believe that I was once again suffering from acne and by fate, luck or what have you I met Johanah. Throughout my skincare journey Johanah has always had my best interest at heart. When I first went to see her she let me know that I might experience more breakouts but that was part of the process to clear my skin and it's true...I experienced break outs for the first four months (some people don't get breakouts). Each month my breakouts became less and less and then they stopped. To date I don't breakout! Far too often I hear people say that they don't get facials because they had a breakout after their first one but from experience all I can say is that you have to trust the process. Johanah slowly helped me develop a skin care routine that was specific to me and the needs of my skin. She has never tried to sell me on a product simply to make a sale or meet a goal and I appreciate that because it helped establish a relationship of trust. I used to spend endless amounts of money at Ulta and Sephora on the newest latest face mask, serum, etc but honestly I had no idea what I was doing. I was doing more damage than good to my skin. Now I spend less money, crazy right!?, and with seasonal changes and changes in my skin Johanah helps me tailor my skin care needs. The results of monthly facials mixed with a proper skincare routine that I was seeing were apparent to not only myself but my family and eventually my sister, my cousin, my brother and now my mom have all become clients! Here is where I have proof that Johanah customizes to each client because despite being family members and all seeing her monthly we all use different products and we all receive different customized facials because we all have different skincare needs. After four years as a client we no longer focus on acne but on maintenance, hydration, helping me achieve the youthful skin I desire while hopefully delaying the aging process or at least helping me age gracefully. Johanna is an absolute gem! I think I you would be hard pressed to find a better esthetician anywhere at any price. I feel equipped to say this as we are a family of 5 and each and everyone of us goes to her. Her positive and warm nature makes you feel so comfortable and honestly you mentally feel good post treatment because of how lovely she is. But let's get to the results. Two kids with extreme acne and after spending thousands on dermatology appts. And endless prescriptions we finally found Johanna. Both kids are finally seeing clear skin and she magically creates a trusting and motivating relationship with them that they feel encouraged and keep in the plan in between sessions.
