My second experience here is where it all went downhill. I got a dermaplane facial and requested a dermabrasion as well. The technician informed me that the dermabrasion would be too much exfoliation since the derma plane is exfoliating as well. However, she still recommended doing a chemical peel and because I'm not that educated in skin treatments I proceeded with her recommendation. About a week later after my facial, I I noticed 2 burn marks on my face, which I assumed were from the chemical peel. While one healed, one has still not gone away, and this is a facial I received late in December 2025. I went back a month later and asked the technician(different one) what the mark was. She said it was like acne post mark because of too much exfoliation with both the dermaplane and chemical peel . She said it should fade away and recommended me one of their expensive skin resurfacing products. I did not buy it and this was my last visit here. 3 months later, I still have this mark on my face so I have an appointment with the dermatologist soon. I would still recommend this place for maybe the basic $70 facial, it's pretty cheap and worth the money. I do not recommend any other special services because it seems some of the technicians may not be as educated and it's not worth messing up your skin. read more

ONE STAR -- WORST EXPERIENCE EVER I had an appointment today, January 27, 2026 at 9:00 AM, and this was hands down one of the worst spa experiences I've ever had. I arrived on time and let the front desk know it was my first time at The Skin Room. My sister had purchased a $120 gift card specifically for a massage, or so she was told at the time of purchase. When I presented the gift card, I was informed it was only valid for facials, which is not what my sister was told when she bought it. I even asked, "Really, I can't use it for a massage?" and was told no. Since I was already there, I reluctantly agreed to get a facial instead. At 9:11 AM, I was taken into the first room on the right. The white sheets were visibly stained, which was already concerning, but again, I proceeded since I was there. The esthetician, I believe her name was Selina(she gave me a business card it said Selina), began the facial. I specifically asked her to guide me through the steps, and she said okay--but she did not. Keep in mind, I originally came for a massage, so I had full makeup on. She immediately started with extremely hot steam directly on my face, opening my pores while my makeup was still on. It was uncomfortable and shocking. Without explanation, she continued removing my makeup while the steam was still extremely hot, and then--without asking or informing me--she shaved my face with a blade. I was never told this would be part of the facial. This was absolutely unacceptable and upsetting. At the end, I was told I would have leftover money from the gift card to clean up my eyebrows, which I agreed to. However, when I went to the front desk, the cashier Erica told me, "Oh, the facial was $120." I questioned this because I was told there would be leftover credit, and suddenly that was no longer true. This entire experience was misleading, unprofessional, and uncomfortable from start to finish. If I could give this place zero stars, I would. This was my first and last time here. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. read more

The Skin Room still deserves 5 stars. It's my go-to place for a facial. I always go to Arlyne. She's so nice and great to have a conversation with. I always leave with my skin feeling refreshed and my neck and shoulders relaxed. All the staff are friendly and they have high quality skin products to purchase. The rooms are all clean and have a very relaxing aesthetic. Pro tip: sign up for their emails and follow them on Instagram because they'll post specials for the day or the month, which sometimes include a pre-facial margarita. read more

While my facial was okay, I paid for an hour facial and added on a $40 procedure. Instead of adding a little time on, the aesthetician left off one of the steps in the facial to stay within the hour. I don't think they should do that! I called and was told that's their policy. In my opinion, if you pay extra, that should be for product, and the time involved. Otherwise, it would be better just to book separately! That way they won't hurry or leave off from the original hour paid for. I should have asked, but just assumed when you pay extra, it's for time also. Hi Brenda! I did not receive the ice globe treatment. The ice globes are one of my favorite! That's what prompted my review. Also, if a treatment replaces another treatment for the hour, why would you have to pay extra? You said it replaced the microdermabrasion? 8/17- Perhaps this is a random occurrence but from start to finish, the experience was unpleasant and unorganized and as a brand new client, it felt disappointing. (To be clear, Ive had several Hydro-facials and Dermaplane services done in the past, so these are not new to me). From initiating the appt via email, their website and over the phone; I told them exactly what services I was seeking; a Hydro-facial and a Dermaplane add-on. The gal on the phone secured the time and date but advised that I need to let them know which services I wanted the day of the appt , which is really odd, since each service is different and takes up different time frames. When I showed up, I checked in but the front desk gal never reiterated the facial services I had requested, but I sat and waited, assuming the esthetician would know. After I was in the room and ready, this very young esthetician greeted me but I still felt like she didnt know nor asked what facial I requested before she started so I told her. She then stated she has no experience doing Hydrofacials nor Dermaplane which was literally why I was there. They switched her out with another very young esthetician, her name was Cheyenne. She came in assuming I only wanted a Dermaplane service so I explained ONCE AGAIN, that a Dermaplane AND a Hydrofacial was what I requested. She stated that an hour was needed for Hydrofacials but that she had to check if the machine was even available for use. Once she came back to the room with the machine, I had a feeling I should've left at that point. For the remainder of the appointment her energy was totally off, she was not warm and that affected her performance... Everything from the steaming to the hydromachine felt too fast like she wanted to get it over with; the passes across my face from the sucking wand were not thorough and did not cover the prime areas of my face, especially my chin, which I still see clogged pores. When she performed the Dermaplane, she was extremely heavy handed, went close to my eyes and worst, she nicked me on my chin and I felt it sting but she refused to acknowledge her error and never asked if I was ok. She knew what she did but continued on to use the same blade that cut me to proceed with the rest of my face. It was appalling and concerning. The inflammation and slight itching feeling is barely going away now. Hopefully I don't get an infection. Lastly, she ended the appt with extractions which I thought ordinarily is done at the beginning phase after cleansing and steaming, the order seemed off. The shoulder massage was the longest thing she took her time with, smh. In all, the experience was sad. I was not relaxed and did not feel reassured by any staff that miscommunication was acknowledged. I was anticipating something nice since I hadn't had a facial in such a long time and wanted to support a place in my community. Considering how pricey these services are nowadays, it was hard to accept it was worth the transaction. But, I kept it respectful, paid, still tipped and walked out. 8/19- Woke up to inflamed skin, still itchy under my chin area. I may have to seek medical attention if Im not able to heal properly. Now I have to go to work with all this discomfort. As a first time client, I don't appreciate being the guinea pig and getting scheduled with inexperienced estheticians as if I wouldn't notice. read more

My experience here was a positive 1. I came here for a microdermabrasion. The woman that helped me the date of my appointment was Selina & let me just say that she did a wonderful job. My face looked so radiant following the procedure. It has now been close to 2 weeks since my appointment on March 17 & my face is still looking & feeling soft & glowing. I've followed some tips Selina provided me with (such as not using an exfoliator with beads since it can be more damaging than helpful) & my face has been feeling & looking good. I'm giving a 4 instead of a 5 star review because the cost is a little high. My last microdermabrasion with facial was half the cost from here at $85 (not counting tip), but this place is definitely a little nicer in terms of cleanliness & overall appearance of facility. The facial took no more than 25 minutes which was confusing to me since they always last about 45 minutes. I even let the esthetician know that it was her first time hoping she would leave her with a good impression.
