Chicago has a spectacular skyline. The best way to see it is usually at twenty stories above the ground. There are a finite number of buildings that have public access to view the skyline. The Skyline Club is not one of them. This member only club is on the 24th floor and has a relocated interior from Europe. There is an outside area that overlooks some prime real estate on South Michigan Avenue - even London House which the public can access. This quiet club is great to have a private meeting over lunch. The menu is not earth shattering but competent. I had the chicken soup and a garden salad. Both were ok. The service was great. Not sure how you will get in unless you know a member. read more

Sat on the balcony weather was beautiful. Server was so helpful and pleasant. Brought water and placed our orders. The food was delicious.

Is certainly beware of the fake reviews that are on any website for this place. Our tickets were $150 for the event and the food that they presented was below Costco quality. There is no Ingenuity whatsoever for this chef. For our event our appetizers were spinakopita, like the ones you get from Costco, they also had a piece of pepperoni on a piece of dough and pot stickers that stuck to each other inside of the chafing dish. Old vegetables that were googey with ranch dressing. The worst part is the coat closet and the restaurant were dirty and disorganized. We hung our own coats in a dingy cluttered closet. The end of the party at 8p, a dark ling haired woman in a pony tail who was bartending, struck a chime and told us all to leave. Yes, leave...no finishing the wine the guests just got qt the bar 5 minutes prior. She yelled, "Time to leave NOW" to over 30 people and literally saw all of us out the door. Poor management from top to bottom. This place deserves so much more. Come on Old Republic, pony up for a real chef and management company. The restaurant deserves it or bust. read more

Having passed this place many times, I am amazed to know what it once was and to have the opportunity to see it firsthand. What a beauty! While I could not imagine having to walk 24 flights of stairs for a private club or any club before elevators were installed, I can see why membership has its privileges. This place is gorgeous and definitely had amazing views of the city before taller buildings were constructed and more of them clouded the area. The dining room is absolutely beautiful as is the patio. I was also especially impressed with the use of space and decor. There were several built in shelves, seating and decorative wooden heater covers. Even back in the day no one wanted to stare at those big honking radiators. I also took delight in the cute liquor lockers in the bar area. Another ingenious storage idea before there were liquor licenses. Definitely worth checking out. read more

Visited this site during open house Chicago - very comfortable indoor and outdoor spaces with an immersive view of the city. It's an amazing spot to experience the rustle and bustle of downtown being surrounded by tall buildings. At the same time the warm wood work and classic decor is a pleasant contrast from the open balcony. Worth the visit. read more

Thanks for having us! You must be with a member of the Sky-Line Club to dine here unless you are there for a special event. This restaurant was illegally selling alcohol from after prohibition until a couple of years ago (80+ years) The previous sentence is so Chicago, and this establishment should be on all Loop walking tours and there should be a WBEZ special done on it (Chicago's NPR station). The interior is beautiful. Apparently, all the wood was dismantled from an English Pub (in England) and reconstructed here in Chicago in the 1920s. There is an outdoor area, depending upon our midwest weather it is hit-or-miss. We had a rare burger and Cesar salad with anchovies. Everything was yummy and the service is great. Tabasco sauce available upon request. Sky-Line Club is a breakfast and lunch location as they are not open past 4pm. read more

I just had my wedding reception here and everything was fabulous, except the weather. Chris and Sabrina ensured that it went off with no issues; and the food was fantastic. Great old world charm, view, and people to work with. Highly suggest your event to take place here. Not only can anyone reserve for events, they don't have the club open to members on weekends, so they will work with you to stage it however you want and deliveries are easy to manage. No working around other customers or having to wait until last minute to do what you need to do. Plenty of options and can't ask for better food or service. read more

The Sky-Line Club is a unique hidden historic jewel nested in northeast Loop. This is a private penthouse club, so you must be with a member to enjoy the facility. They serve breakfast and lunch. The ambiance is historic and warm (there is even a fire place). The dining terrace has outstanding views across the city. The seasonal menu has a variety of influences. They also offer daily specials that keep the offerings fresh. The items I have had have been reliably wonderful. This is a great venue for business or social events. The place is an impressive Chicago icon and certainly worth a visit if you get the opportunity. It was completely renovated in 2013. read more

Not a good idea to go on a weekend nite!! You'll find it incredibly crowded! Other than that, it's a must to go atleast once-- fun place!
