It was just my two kids for the last appointment of the day, and we never once felt rushed--in fact, it felt like such a personal, special experience. Lily truly made it unforgettable. She was incredible with my kids--so patient, fun, and fully engaged with them the entire time. Even at the end of the day, her energy and positivity never dropped. She made each of my kids feel confident, included, and excited about what they were creating. Slime factory in Factoria Mall- park by nordstrom rack or Panera was a great rainy day kids activity in Bellevue. We made reservations online same day. Booking online automatically gave a 10% discount. Its located across from Jamba Juice/ Sushi. We arrived early but that was pointless as we had to wait until after 4:10 to get started. The employee was on cell phone when we arrived to check in. Not very welcoming. But I get maybe it's the only time In between sessions they have to break? Before we got started the giant slime in tub in back of as a hit. 2 out of 3 paper towel holders were clogged though. During the demonstration I felt like the instructions were hard to hear. They weren't really "little kid silly". More just monotone. So the overall experience was to make slime. Not so much entertainment performance. They were helpful but I was annoyed we had to wait 10 minutes to get started after the reservation time because a group was running late. I felt like they should start on time and for those who come late- maybe they have an instruction sheet at the station to catch up? Playing with the giant tub of slime was a hit. Our 4pm group had about 10 active kids. Ages ranged from 3- 10 ish. Instructions for the littles were fine but they need help. I was fine to sit on side without helping for 8-10 year olds. Cons: --Getting started late. We shouldn't have to wait for those people who are late. --no Sink! They ended up being covered in shaving cream and glitter when exiting. Was a big pain. -- all the seating was hard and uncomfortable and coveted with glitter --no bathroom in the slime factory. Have to go out around by nordstrom rack which is not within eye sight. --only allowed 1 charm per slime and it was only a flip flop or retro girls looking sunglasses. When my son asked for 2 flip flops they were really strict even though a girl with us didn't want any. --only 2 scents - cotton candy or lavender. Would be nice to have more options. --no bags to put slime in. Made shopping afterwards a pain. Note- I placed a red robin to go order when they started so we could pick up and have food right afterwards. It took 45 minutes to do. The kids loved it. It was definitely a one time activity. Can't picture coming back to do it but would be a fun birthday party activity. read more

What a flop - not a recommend from me. We went today and the whole experience was so rushed and unpleasant. It was from start to finish 30 minutes. It felt like an assembly line where the employees asked kids to make decisions within seconds "which color sprinkles do you want" and the employees would do it themselves and hand back to the kids. Not at all engaging or immersive. There was no playing or enjoying it, it was chaotic and rushed. A few other negatives - they coordinate each experience in time blocks so you're in a group with whoever else booked that same time which in our case included a birthday party. We started 15 minutes late because the birthday party guests hadn't all arrived. It was also strange to have the birthday party space in the same room so our kids were smelling pizza the whole time that they weren't going to enjoy. Not a huge deal but it wasn't great. Another big miss is that they have no hand washing station! This is nuts to me. The kids (and grown ups) have sticky gooey globs all over and you have to walk half way across the mall to the public bathroom to wash your hands. I understand not having a full bathroom but I would expect something more than hand sanitizer and paper towels in a Slime experience. And for my 2 kids it was $68!!!! For 30 minutes of "entertainment" and 2 slimes, no thanks. My kids have waaaay more fun at other activities that are more engaging and last longer. Won't be back read more

Concept is cool and I appreciate that my kid can go and make slime outside of my home. It's pretty organized but def not what I was expecting. I was expecting kids to have a little more freedom in regards to personalizing their slimes. When we arrived, there were placemats with the main ingredients on there. They might not have anticipated one or two of the kids to come so one of the girls I brought did not have all of her materials. The one worker came off as kind of rude as she was quickly preparing the kid's supplies. Her tone when talking seemed as though she was annoyed. Other than the supplies on the table, they come around with color, beads, and scents and they want the kids to make a choice rather quickly. It seems pretty rushed and the main worker kept her eye on the clock. My kid is on the older side and a wee bit more independent than some of the other kids who participated so the one worker wasn't as annoyed with her but I could tell she was losing her patience with some of the other kids. I get it, slime is stressful, hence the reason why we pay to go somewhere else to do it. But I feel like the workers could use a little bit more training on patience and working with kids. The lady kept redirecting one kid who didn't seem to be doing anything wrong, but she kept telling her to not do this or that and to use inside voices. At one point I saw her move her hand close to the kids mouth (though she didn't touch it) to "shush" her. Yes the kid was a little more hyper than the other kids but it seemed appropriate for the experience and she was just trying to have fun. My kid and her friend had fun and are asking to come back so from the kids point of view, it's a positive experience. However, as a parent, there are things that they can improve on read more

What a fun activity! Definitely make reservations online to make sure you can get it in. We went on a Monday afternoon because unfortunately most kid things are closed on Mondays like children's museums etc. But bonus it's actually way cheaper on a weekday so it was perfect! My 4 year old son did the express because thats all his attention span could handle while my 8 year old did the full experience and absolutely loved it. Luckily it's in the Factoria Mall just across from Lakesshore Learning Store so we went there afterwards and looked at the toys. Bring some quarters if you can as inside the mall they have those coin operated machines and candy. The slime wall where you throw the slime that you don't want to take home is my favorite. It reminds me of the Gum Wall at Pike Place Market but just more hygienic. We took about an hour there because they had this epic green slime table that you can just play in after your experience. I made an appointment here for a 2 year old and 3 year old. At the time, the website said those under 4 must be accompanied by an adult, which we planned for. You can see other yelp reviews indicate children under the age of 4 participating. I received a confirmation email the day before, that just simply stated the time. After hauling two toddlers and an infant in traffic for over 30 minutes to Factoria, when I check in the front desk clerk says their "policies have recently changed" and that kids now have to be over the age of 4. So we can't participate. ARE YOU KIDDING ME. DID YOU NOT THINK TO CONTACT THOSE WITH APPOINTMENTS?!? And then, she HILARIOUSLY says they will give me a GIFT CARD to use in the future. Like, girl no. You changed your policy on me, and made me drive here to find out, I will never be returning and I am for sure getting a credit card refund. The best part is the other employee there said she had heard about the policy change THAT DAY. Total bull. The front desk girl tried to like, pull up the website to show me the change. When I told her to show me proof it changed prior to me making my reservation (which it had obviously not), she was of course unable to. A manager was unable to be contacted. This is just such shady operating. Shame on them. This place is a total SCAM. Also, it is SO much dumpier than they try to indicate on their site. Make your slime at home. I've been to the slime factory several times and the atmosphere is very friendly and fun. The staff always plays with the kids and makes the whole experience amazing. And they even keep the slime in cute little containers! The little ones absolutely adore the instant snow pool. I was disappointed because my daughter was left up to her elbows in slime and nobody helped us get it off. Had I known that would happen I wouldn't have encouraged her to play in it that much. The lady facilitating told her (while she played in it with gloves on her hands) they would get the slime off but as she was rolling her elbows in it she walked away and all I had to clean her off was a paper towel. We went there today with my daughter (4) and my son (2). They both did the full experience and they got to mix two different types of slime. It was a fun experience for both of them. I want to shout out Alicia who was the ONLY worker during the time that we went. She was working by herself and I am going to assume (sorry!) that she was also pregnant. She was working so hard, getting everyone checked in, cleaning, and resetting all the things needed for the next group. Even though she was a little behind schedule (she was working by herself) and the new group was coming in, she did not rush our group at all. She was very patient and did not skip any steps. Honestly, I don't know how she was doing it. By the time our appointment came, I don't know how long it had been since she got to sit or use the bathroom or had something to eat/drink. I've visited twice with kids ages 6&8, then with my toddler and had a pleasant experience both times. The workers are patient and want the kids to enjoy the process and I LOVE that I don't have to get my own house messy for my kids to make slime! I also really appreciate that they have lab coats to protect clothes and make it feel even more like a science experiment. I would recommend a reservations rather than walk-in if you want to be sure there's space. I attended about one month apart and the slime options were slightly different month to month which I appreciated.
