Brunch at Sly Fox in Southern Pines did not disappoint. My son & I grabbed the oversized chairs tucked along the left side of the restaurant (a spot I hadn't sat in before) & it completely changed the experience. It had such a cozy, European feel that made us want to linger a little longer. The steak skillet was hands-down the star of the table. Perfectly cooked, hearty, and full of flavor. I paired it with a pineapple mimosa that was the perfect balance. Everything came out fresh, the atmosphere was inviting & it felt like a little escape from the ordinary Sunday brunch routine. If you're in Southern Pines & looking for a brunch spot with great food & a little extra ambiance, I'd definitely recommend Sly Fox.

Been going to this place for 8 years and it's slowly slipped down hill. Food is still good. But the service is terrible. Went for lunch on Saturday. It was less than half occupied. We sat to 26 minutes and watched two wait staff checking on tables around us. They never made eye contact with us. So disappointed.

We stumbled upon this adorable place. It's very cozy and traditional English food. The duck was super crispy and the food came out piping hot. I was quite impressed. Our service was such a great guy and knew his menu and how to market. The crowd was high class and calm. I really liked the atmosphere.

I would've never guessed I'd come across a London based restaurant in NC- what a pleasant surprise! This place had suchhh good Indian food I really felt like I was in England. The entire place is decorated to make you feel like you're in a different country, we had a great time. Every single thing I had was wonderful!

Holy fish and chips Batman! I'd give this place 5 stars just for the fish and chips and the atmosphere. But then boom, we got a chicken pot pie and it knocked it out of the park also. Then the Sly Fox said, "hold my beer...try this poutine". Daaaaamn!! 3 for 3! Oh, and you want to try some British made snacks and candies, we got an area for that too. Now I'm in a food coma and dying with Cadbury chocolate dripping out of my mouth. This is my favorite place in Southern Pines to stop and eat at when I'm passing through. The vibe is perfect and screams, "Aye, you chaps are in Britain!" Never had a bad meal. Service is really good. I usually go during off hours so I can't speak for when it gets busy. So much more on the menu to try, I'll add more photos as I go but I'll just leave the review as is.

Food was very good! I loved the UK style fish and chips and mushy peas but it was on the salty side. Burgers had good flavor but a little undercooked. Chicken pot pie was excellent with no complaints. The butter chicken was a bit salty as well but tasty. Onion rings were probably top 3 onion rings I've ever had and the goat cheese ranch was to die for! Service was a little haphazard but it may have been an off night but everyone was very kind and helpful! All in all, it was a very nice spot for dinner in the southern pines area.

This is my second visit to this restaurant. I wasn't thrilled about coming after my visit last year, but I was invited by the group I was traveling with. I struggled trying to find something that would satisfy my pallet. Of course, my daughter didn't like anything on the main menu. We asked for the kids menu and to be frank, I actually wanted something off that menu versus the main courses. I settled on the Pub burger. I asked for medium well. My burger was just flat out well done and border line burnt. The fries were ok. They weren't warm. The decor was the same as last year on the back room. The space could be utilized better. We had a larger group and we were sitting so close to each other. The waitress couldn't even walk around the table because it was pushed so far back towards the wall. She had to reach over people on my side to hand me the hot dishes. I see this as a safety hazard. I don't know...maybe the bar area is the place to be in this spot.

We got the scones (I would recommend the honey and chive butter, she preferred the sweet cinnamon sugar). We also split the French onion Mac and cheese. I love that they use cavatappi (sp? - corkscrews) so the sauce is in and around every noodle. The crisp onions on top provided a perfect crunch! We also split the crab and avocado sandwich with house salad. The house salad dressing was amazing as was the crab and avocado. It was so good I asked for a catering menu for my next event. Thankfully, our amazing service was Gabi, who manages all the catering. Such a great experience on a lovely afternoon.

The décor is absolutely stunning, and the service was excellent. We visited during Christmastime and truly loved the festive decorations. Our drinks were perfect and well-crafted. For dinner, we shared the chowder, which unfortunately was underwhelming--the croutons were the best part. We then ordered the chicken, salmon, and mashed potatoes. The salmon was dry, the chicken was on the bone with very little meat, and the mashed potatoes were surprisingly disappointing. I even took them home hoping I could improve them myself. I will likely return to the Tea Room because I enjoy supporting local businesses and genuinely like their drinks and small bites, but I would not come back for dinner.
