I ordered a latte and a blueberry scone. The latte was delicious but the scone was tasteless and very dry. The ambiance was clean and nice.

The mill is a nice place to chill at for work study etc. I go here for studying or doing school here and it's quite nice. The service is pretty fast which I like since fast service is nice. The food here is quite good here which I also like too. I myself personally go for two reasons aka school or music bingo every first Friday of the month when I can make it. All in all I like the mill and would suggest it. read more

A cute coffee shop and bar! A great spot in downtown Fuquay near other shops and restaurants. A great place to meet up with friends for a drink or work on your computer. The shop also has outdoor seating for when it's nice and a few TVs. I tried a coffee drink off their fall drink menu. It was called Cinderella's pumpkin. It was really good. I happened to be in downtown Fuquay for work one morning and knew I needed coffee. I'd been to The Mill for one of their past art vendor fairs, but hadn't gotten anything to drink. It was around 10am and there were people inside, but nothing crazy. The barista was friendly and greeted me, asked if there was anything I needed help with. I did ask for his recommendation on syrup flavors for a latte and decided on an iced, nonfat cinnamon sugar latte. It was just right! Sweet, but not too sweet, and I could taste the espresso. I also got a 1/2 off scone (which he warmed up for me at my request) from the day before and it was still soft and tasty. It appears you can also get wine and beer depending on the time of day. I have been to The Mill a couple of times now and have enjoyed both the coffee side and the "adult" side of it. They have a good variety of syrup flavors and drinks to choose from. While I enjoyed the drink that I ordered, it wasn't my favorite. I struggled to find any flavor last the chocolate sauce. I would definitely go back for coffee drinks, just would get something without chocolate in it. The "adult" side of The Mill has a great selection of beers on tap, wine and cocktails. I got the Hop drop and roll by NoDa that was on top and it was really good. They don't have hip in the name for nothing. lol All in all I have enjoyed both visits there and will definitely be back to visit both sides. read more

Wow this place is COOL! The space is much bigger than it seems on the outside and has such a calming interior. The turtle latte was one of the best lattes I've ever had. The bartenders were extremely nice & friendly as well. For my gluten free folks, they had a few ciders you could get from the bar in cans as well as a decent wine selection. I love the Golden Arrow cider, definitely worth the try. Not sure if the latte was gluten free but I did not have a reaction so it's at least wheat free. My husband really enjoyed the beer selection. Lots of local beers to try both on tap and canned. We will definitely make this a regular spot for us! read more

Yummmy. I only had a chai, but they had lavender syrup and YUMMM. I love lavender in ANYTHING! I noticed they serve foods and spirits. Haven't had a chance to try as yet. Love the mill, I've been going here for a few years. Love their hot coffees and chai teas, and they almost always have some pastries on hand. Great beer selection, and even better service! Food trucks tend to be outside on weekends as well as live music. My more recent visits I have noticed there have been cool mystery books you can purchase. Simply put, The Mill is a great cafe. It has a homey feel to it and everyone that's ever made me a drink has done a phenomenal job. I do like the social distancing set up as well as hand sanitizer availability. However, I saw an employee not wearing a mask the last time I visited, which is unfortunate and the reason I have not stepped foot in the cafe since the summer. Please enforce mask wearing as much as possible. This cafe attracts a diverse base. If an employee is seen not wearing a mask, and wearing it properly, it is a big turn off to many who want to support local businesses who follow proper Covid precautions. read more

Boyfriend & I decided to check out The Mill this weekend. We walked in and headed back to the bar area to sample and order a few beers. Tonights special: $3.50 Bombshell beers and you got to keep the glass (Boyfriend was not happy that I was collecting another glass). Started off with a Bombshell Coconut Stout followed by a Double Barley Gourd Rocker. Boyfriend ordered a Deep River 4042 Stout followed by a Bold Rock Cider. We loved our beer selections so many local options! We were in the bar area to start off with then by beer no 2 decided to head upstairs. A band was playing, it was a bit tough to understand what he was saying but it was not overpowering. I loved the exposed brick and light fixtures! If you do not drink beer, the first bar offers coffee options along with cakes slices. Great local coffee shop. Environment is good for remote work but you may want to bring noise-cancelling headphones in case people beside you are extra chatty or a group is meeting up. I love that you can order food from Anna's Pizza next door and bring it in (though you can't bring your own drinks, for obvious reasons). The Manager, Anna is very very rude. My fiancé and I came to the mill to see his brother perform. We stood in front of the performer for three minutes wearing masks, and she quickly came over to TELL us to sit down, and that we need to buy something if we want to stay in the facility. So, I asked her the reason why we are not allowed to stand up and she abruptly told us that it is because of Covid and that she didn't have to tell us why. The Mill is the perfect spot to come relax, and enjoy a refreshing beverage. Whether beer, wine, or even coffee, there is definitely something for everyone. They do not serve food aside from a few snacks, but you're able to bring in pizza from the joint next door. During the nicer weather there is the possibility that a food truck will make an appearance, and who doesn't love yummy food truck food!! The atmosphere can be loud on a Friday evening, but it's not ridiculous. It is quiet enough during the week that you can snag a spot on their comfy chairs and do some HW. Depending on the day, if you're wanting more of a private area, the upstairs is a great spot. Bars can get so loud that you're unable to carry a conversation with the person next to you, but I haven't had that problem. Hours of operation are 9AM to 10PM, which I think caters to both coffee lovers and beer drinkers. I have not had the opportunity to visit during the day but I can still confidently say that The Mill a great spot in Fuquay. read more

Stopped here while traveling through the area. Needed a place to open computer and do some zoom meetings and other work before traveling on. Perfect place for that. Two stories so you can find a relatively quiet area. There is background music but not too loud. Like an Internet cafe but not. Good coffee, great local beer selection, friendly staff. A place to get great tasting coffee but with poor customer service and a ridiculous no outside beverage policy that is enforced upon patrons. After waiting patiently in line for over 20 minutes without even ordering our drinks yet, my wife decided to get a cup of warm lemon water from across the street while I remained in line. When she returned shortly thereafter, the barista had the nerve to stop what he was doing and inform my wife that she must leave the establishment and wait for me outside because she brought in an outside beverage (lemon water). Not permitting outside beverages is understandable if people come into the establishment just to take up seating and do not purchase anything but to enforce this ridiculous policy on a paying customer makes absolutely no logical sense and is downright rude.
