Prior to my first appointment I called Dr. Lewis' office to confirm they accepted my dental insurance. I provided not only the name of my insurance provider, but also specific plan details, including my group number and personal information, so that my benefits could be confirmed prior to scheduling an appointment. On the day of the appointment everything went well. The staff was friendly, Dr. Lewis was very professional and informative, but during my cleaning the hygienist suggested that I get a full set of x-rays taken. I waited in the chair while my benefits were once again confirmed by the staff, and was then given the go ahead. The x-rays were taken, my appointment wrapped up, I paid my co-pay and scheduled a follow up appointment, and went on my way. Six weeks later I received a bill for several hundred dollars, marked "Over 30 days". Additionally, the invoice was not itemized, and no explanation of the charge was provided. I went into the office the following day and was told that while their office is able to submit a claim to my insurance company, they do not actually participate in their network. I also asked for an explanation of the charges, and was not at all surprised to hear they were the result of the additional x-rays I was sold during my appointment. Needless to say, this was a disappointing experience. I very much enjoyed Dr. Lewis' thorough explanation of my x-rays and treatment options, the staff was very friendly, and the location is very convenient, but I no longer trust that the staff has my best interests at heart.

His office does not communicate well about expectations for appointments, leading to confusion and unpleasant surprises at the appointment itself. Dr. Nab did agree to numb me for the procedure, but during the process, when I was reacting to the pain with tears in my eyes, he demanded to know why I was crying during a procedure that "didn't even require numbing". Afterward, when discussing an additional procedure that my insurance won't cover until the next calendar year, I was provided with no other option than to pay fully out of pocket (no payment plan) or to go seek out a dental student to work on my teeth. When asking for his professional opinion in the likelihood of different scenarios based on timing, Dr. Nab even stated in a condescending manner that he "can't predict the future". I was not requesting nor expecting that level of rudeness and refusal to engage in a discussion about my future care, which will no longer be with this office. I caution everyone who is considering Dr.Nab to reconsider unless they don't mind being talked down to, jerked around, and nearly mocked for experiencing real physical pain. Dr. Nab and his staff are wonderful. As someone with severe anxiety when it comes to dental work, they always do what they can to make me feel comfortable and calm. Their communication is clear, especially in regard to the procedure being done and cost. A quote for services is always given before the procedure. Everyone in the office is courteous, friendly, and very communicative. They even alerted me to issues I was unaware of with my previous dentist and helped me recover fraudulent charges. Getting dental care is never a pleasant experience for me, but Dr. Nab and his staff definitely make it as pleasant as possible.

I had some medical appointments in March 2025 so we scheduled (text below) that time. I get a call about not having an appointment a few days before my appointment. I was then told I would get a call to let me know if the dentist would be at that location. If not, she would tell me where to meet. I received a call today, while sitting at the appointment location and was told the dentist was not there and she called me beforehand to let me know. I did not receive a call. She told me she would reach out to the dentist to contact me to revise my changes. I have not received a call. So I am thinking, I paid cash up front and I get this type of subpar service. There were signs but they were subtle signs. I should have read the reviews. My question to her was why had I not received a text or voicemail when they first knew the dentist would not be there? Omega Dental on West Gray do not apologize because I leave the states in three days and I am stuck with less than three weeks of replacements. The quality of care is disappointing. I am glad I did not fly over for only this appointment!
