Im a casual cigar smoker that is just learning to appreciate them. The staff at The Smoking Dog was very friendly and accommodating and they suggested a couple of very nice cigars without pressuring me. My first time there was today, went for a smoke in their nice lounge. Everyone there was nice and very receptive. The guys running the shop were great, asked what I normally smoked, and made great suggestions. Great selection and some nice boutique blends! Definitely go back there! read more

This place has a great selection and great prices. I couldn't believe how reasonable the smokes I picked up were. They were so nice too, they close at 8 but I popped in at like 8:01 and they were more than accommodating. I will definitely go back and buy more. read more

The owner contacted me about an issue and she asked to sit down and discuss my issue over a complimentary cigar. I kindly declined as I wasn't going to be in the state but if her offer still stands, I'd love to just have a conversation. It's a nice place, she's very kind, friendly, and informative. I must say this place is awesome and its staff really knows it stuff. Every time I go there it gets better and better Lewis a nice young gentleman helped me pick out a couple great smokes that me and my friends enjoyed. The next time Gus came to the rescue and turned me onto something I thought I would never try and Wow. It was another awesome smoke. I came in to purchase a travel humidor, and left as a new loyal customer. I haven't smoked cigars in years and was looking for some guidance on what works well. I decided to additionally purchase cigars for my groomsmen and preferably a product that incorporated leaves from a certain region in the world. After listening to what I wanted, I received some great suggestions and discovered the match I was searching for. Be aware-ALL tobacco sales are final. THIS PLACE IS NOT FOR NOVICES. I must say that I know nothing about cigars. I stopped in to purchase a box of them for my husband for Father's day. I relied on the help of the owner to pick something appropriate. I ended up picking and buying a whole box made up of 2 varieties based her opinion. But what she helped me pick was too harsh for him- when returned on Monday and asked to swap them out for a milder cigar I was turned away. I will not purchase any more there. I have now wasted over $ 100 and am not a happy camper. I am very sorry I made the purcahse there. read more

He also runs the shop on an old fashion register- this way if the power goes out, he can still sell cigars. In addition to cigars, the shop has a variety of cigar accessories (humidifiers and ash trays) as well as other tobacco products (pipes and cigarettes). Recently I bought a golf cart cigar clip- something my dad loved when he got it for fathers day. Great place for cigar smokers or children of cigar smokers who are in need of a gift.

I've been to this location approximately 7 times in the past two months. The first time I went I…read morespecifically asked for a NON-MENTHOL Apple salt e-liquid. Costal Clouds Chilled Apple Pear was recommended a brand I never heard of.. I decided to try it and asked again if it was menthol I was told it was not. Well, I got home and found out it was. I went a second time a week later.. This time I was helped by a woman who was filling in from another store in Cherry Hill. She explained that anything chilled is menthol.. She also explained the Smoke Cartridges when using salt liquids work best with the Mesh Pods. She was professional, knowledgeable and knew everything about all of the items /products I was interested in! Yesterday I called and asked for the Nova 2 smoke mesh pods. I was told they would be in stock today. . I called today and a extremely rude gentleman told me that they don't have the PODS or the Liquid.. I asked him how much the Caramel Salt e-liquid was. He was rude and said " I can't give prices over the phone" . He must be new or just too lazy to check the price as everyone else has given me the prices over the phone from this location in the past. . I wouldn't have to ask for the price if they didn't change every single time I've been there. After today's experience I won't be going back! I think the No name salt liquids this store sells are way too high. Most Gas stations who carry the same brand-liquids charge 6.99-9.99. My vapor store.Com sells top of the line salt E-liquids, like Connoli, The Beard, Pods, Nova 2, & 3 starter kits etc.. a lot cheaper. This Puff and Pipe location isn't consistent, stock is almost always out, workers don't seem to know much , the employee turn over rate is extremely high, it takes forever to get someone to answer a simple question or check you out, prices are ridiculous for base liquids nobody's ever heard of. Don't waste your time or your money.. Instead shop at Myvaporstore.com. This place won't be around much longer!

I visited the place after my son had given me some cigars from there for my birthday. I told the guy my preference and he spent time walking me around the place pointing out various cigars and describing them for me in detail. I purchased 4 different kinds and he treated me the same as though I'd just made a $1000 purchase or more. Incredibly customer oriented. I don't know his name but he had a broken foot so maybe that helps, I most definitely will visit the place monthly to buy cigars from there. Great store, very classy!! read more

The Smoking Dog is a great place. Wonderful people, extremely knowledgeable staff. The plethora of fine cigar brands coupled with amazing customer service is unrivaled in the area. If you have a few minutes go into the "Dog Pound" the on-site smoking room. The are more characters in there than you can find in a Tom Clancy novel.
